We purchased a resale SSR contract as my initial DVC contract and I am happy we did.

I am also glad we purchased resale prior to direct.

I believe we will purchase another contract in the next year or two and at this moment I believe it will be a direct contract at either the new resort by the Polynesian or at Riviera.

We love SSR, and I realize it's the less expensive membership choice, but for most availability I would choose to purchase somewhere that is harder to get into at 7 months like BWV, BCV, GFV, RIV or CCV. This way there's a chance at one of them. At 7 months we have had no trouble finding something at AKL, BLT, PVB, SSR, OKW. Last year we were able to get SSR, preferred, over July 4 two months out.

My first contract was for BWV - still waiting on closing docs. My SSR contract is in the ROFR process now.

I'm definitely thinking of adding on some direct points later on so I can stay at VDH or Riviera.
