I use a small bookbag or a drawstring bag. I bought a Hello Kitty lanyard at the Mitsukoshi store for my key card, driver's license, etc.

Ok Ive been reading through all of the treads I could find on bags at US and IOA. I have 2 questions.

1. Does any size fanny pack work or is there a limit? I have a hiker bag I got from walmart that can also hold 2 water bottles.

2. Tell me about the lockers on the rides that dont allow bags. Do they lock? If so, how? How big are they?

I would think this would have to be put in a locker. There is no secure attachment to you and would be considered a loose article. For Vera Bradley, look at the Travel Belt. Here's the link:

Nope..It has to be put in a locker.I am buying a VB waist pack since that is the only thing they allow pretty much consistently( small waist packs).They did not allow my neighbor to use her VB mini-hipster ,even if she tucked it down her shirt.Any unsecured item like that can be lost, can fall out and cause injury to others or cause the ride harnesses not to lock properly.I have pretty much informed my family already that this is NOT like Disney, and we are not carrying anything into the parks that is not absolutely neccessary

You can't use anything that isn't a fanny pack. If there is a camera or phone in that wristlet and it comes off your hand, someone is going to get hurt.

Thank so much for all who recommended the Kipling convertible bag. I just received mine and can't wait to take it for a test at Hershey Park next week before using it at Universal in October!

Even though I have gone to Universal multiple times, I have enjoyed this thread and all the creative ideas. Thanks. We travel light but we always have to use the lockers for mugs and don't find them to be a hassle except at FJ. Those lockers are so fussy and seem to break down more than MIB or Mummy.

You will have to lock it up on the bigger attractions..I HATE the waist packs too, but I despise waiting in a line to lock a bag so I can ride

Yup. There are six rides that require you to put your stuff in a locker. Some of these rides can have considerable waits for the lockers. I'd rather have an ugly bag than waste time in line for a locker. However, my kipling multiple isn't ugly at all and changes to a waist bag in no time flat. The belt tucks away in the zippers in the back when you want to use it as a shoulder bag.

No problem! That's what we did as well. I am able to get my phone and camera in one without an issue and DD can put a small autograph book in hers and her camera as well, if she'd like.

Kipling has an outlet in the Premium Outlet Mall! They had tons of waistbags for $25. or less.
