Let's share some of the things that have happened in the parks that have either
1) Made your day
2) Made your trip or
3) Brought you some unexpected joy.





Personally, I would like to thank those of you on the buses that have given up seats for me. On my last trip to WDW we went to MVMCP and I was quite pregnant at the time. Although the bus was really crowded and I ended up boarding at somepoint in the middle of the boarding (due to the lines), I was graciously given a seat - and a little extra room was made so that I could let my 3yo DS sit on part of my lap. THANK YOU!

I would also like to say a big thanks to the CMs who took the time to snap pictures for me so that our entire family could be in some of our photos.

My final magical moment was from about 2 years ago when we took DS to CRT for breakfast since I had always wanted to eat at the castle. At that time the fairy godmother sat on the throne downstairs and we took DS (then about 2 1/2) over to meet her. He showed her his autograph book which we had used on a previous trip and was filled of photos of him with the characters. She loved it, gave him a kiss on the forehead, and FILLED his pockets with Mickey glitter!! Everywhere we went the rest of the day, he would take a piece of glitter out of his pockets and talk about the fairy godmother and his magical Mickey glitter. Luckily I have a picture of this wonderful meeting. One of my favorite Disney moments of all time!

OK we were at MK for the halloween party and my daughter was 8 at the time, she was dressed as Cinderella (her favorite princess) who we couldnt meet since the only place you could meet her was to eat breakfast at the castle. (we did manage to have breakfast at resturant askerus with the other princesses that week.............also a magical moment, a lady who does the disney resturant reviews asked if she could take a picture of my daughter and Sleeping beauty for the book)
Well we were walking around the castle to find a spot for the show in front and all of a sudden we walk right up to the pumpkin coach all lit up with Cinderella and the fairy godmother! I was shaking so bad and crying, we stood in line and got to meet both and take video and pictures ...........what a magical moment!

I also would like to thank all of the characters at MGM Studios. Because of them, we have been sprinkled with pixie dust over and over and many friendships have been created that mean the world to our family.

I would have to say last March on our vacation we did the emh nght at MK and rode Splash over and over again during Wishes. It's pretty cool watching the fireworks as you plummet down the falls. We walked on every ride that night and had the most fun just being kids again.

I'll second people giving up seats! I'm susally one who will give up my seat. However, on our 2002 trip, a little 8-10 yr. old boy gave up his seat for ME (25 at the time and female) and insisted I sit. Being a teacher who interacts with rambuntious boys all day, it was one of the sweetest things I've witnessed!

To the CM who gave us new E-Ride night tickets in 2001 on our honeymoon when our E-Ride night was stormy and we decided to leave MK at 9, yet E-Ride went on....thanks!

I was just at Disney January 1-5. On my last day in the MK, I went to see the Sword in the Stone show at 4 pm. When I told Merlin that it was my last day there, he gave me one of the medallions and then told me that "I was now a honorary ruler of the realm" and that "the medallion was for me to remember him by". As if I could forget him! I miss Disney!

I just had one!!!!!!!

Ok ok I have a 6 yr old ds. Well we were in France over at the WS. I looked in the back courtyard, where the charactures can usually be found. Well there were Belle and Aurora all by themselves. So I'm thinking "Great!" but when we go to meet them, my son says that he doesnt want to meet them because they are girls. SO he sits down with my DH and Belle comes over and starts chatting with my son. Then Aurora comes over and asks Belle who her friend is. Then they get him to get up and pose for some pictures. They gush all over him and he's blushing straight to his toes. They get him to hold his elbows out and pose with him for pics, and then they bend down and kiss his cheeks (and hold for the pictures) and he is beeming! It was fantastic!

But wait its the magical moment that keeps on giving! He told us right away that this was top secret. We werent to tell anyone. And evertime he catches me talking about it or with the pictures out, he flips. Its so funny.

Ours happened on our lasted trip this past December. Two young girls (early 20's) sat down next to my DD4 while we waited for the MVMCP parade. They started talking to her and were so sweet. Asking her who her favorite princess was and all. As the parade started all of the characters and parade participants recongnized these girls and would come over. My DW and I quickly realized that these girls were CMs themselves. Well, rather than taking all of the glory of the characters coming over, they kept directing them to our DD. They would say, "Hi Pluto, look here is Linnea. She is the best!" Our DD just kept beaming. After the parade was done our DD gave the girls a big hug and said thank you. The blonde girl tells us that if we are in MK the next morning to make it over to the Toon Town Tent to meet the princesses.

Well, the next day is our departure day, but my DW and I decide to make one last trip in. We head to meet the princesses at the Toon Town Tent and lo and behold, there is the blonde girl we met the night before as Cinderella. When she sees us she yells out in a perfectly princess way, "Hi Linnea" and everyone in the room turns to look at our DD like she is a celebrity. When it was our turn to talk with Cinderella she spent all of this extra time with our DD and wrote all this extra stuff in her autograph book and asked her how she liked the parade the night before and that she saw her there. Our DD was so amazed that Cinderella knew her and that she remembered her from the parade. She did not recognize her as the girls she sat next to and Cinderella stayed perfectly in character. It truly was a magical moment.

That, for my DW and I, is what Disney is all about.

We visited Disney for a second time this past October. I kept reading on here that it is so hard to have Magical Moments and get the certificates. Well, we got our first one our first day there. My daughter got so into the raft ride at Downtown Disney tyhat she fell off ! Thankfully it's mostly virtual. That was when she got her first one. Then we had breakfast at Cinderella's castle. We got there a little late and she didn't have time to meet the Fairy Godmother and Meg. Our server brought Bobbie a Magical Moments certificate because it was her 8th birthday and he personally brought the Fairy Godmother and Meg up to sign it. She got a few other Magical Moment certificates due to her birthday. The best moment though was whwn she didn't get a certificate. She had dinner at Cinderella's Gala Feast at the Grand Floridian. Cinderella happened to be at our table when the server came out with my daughter's cupcake and the whole restaraunt sang Happy Birthday to her with the princess right there. The look on her face was priceless and it was something that we will never forget ! The birthday buttons were the best thing because she and her sister got so much extra special attention because of their birthdays. They also had Chip & Dale fawning all over them at the Liberty Tavern because we were one of the last families there and it was their birthdays. It was a very special trip filled with more magical moments than I can count. I think the Cinderella dinner experience had to be the best one though !

On December 26, my DBF and I were chosen as Family of the Day at Epcot. We received limo service by a mobil Test Track car which ushered us to the "Big 3" rides in FW. We were given a guided tour of Test Track and Mission Space. We were allowed to Ride Test Track twice in a row and given a free souvie ride photo. No need for a touring plan that day! It was really special and it made our day. It is one of the highlights of our trip.

We purchased tickets in June for the Dec. 18 MVMCP. When we arrived, we found out our event was sold out and the Dec. 20 party was sold out. It was only our second day there, and the weather wasn't cooperating. It was damp with heavy clouds. On the 17th, you couldn't see Wishes because of the clouds and I was worried that the fireworks at the Christmas party would be ruined too and I couldn't buy a ticket for the last party since it was already sold out. My DH, DD--10, staked out a good spot for the fireworks and hoped for the best. It was better than Wishes the night before, but the smoke just hung in the air, and you couldn't see the fireworks that went up high. Since it was my first MVMCP, I was extremely disappointed--I was almost in tears! My husband suggested that on the 20th I try to come back by myself and see if they would let me in just to video tape the fireworks. I didn't think it would work, but decided it was worth a try. So at 8:30 I headed from WL at MK. I put my bracelet back on, had my ticket from the 18th party and just the camcorder. I went up to a ticket person named Trish and explained to her that it was my first Christmas trip to DW and I was disappointed about the fireworks Sunday night because of the weather. Trish said she needed ask her boss. Her boss must have seen that I was almost in tears, and he said I could go tape the fireworks! I could barely muster out a "Thank you." I started to cry tears of joy. I was able to experience the fireworks and tape them without any problems!

After attending CRT last week, my DD7 was in her Aurora costume and crown. We went into the Christmas shop there in Liberty Square, the CM saw her and he rang a bell and stated in a very formal voice, "Ladies and Gentleman we have a princess in our presence, he bowed to her and gave her stickers", then out on main street some of the ladies in period costumes stopped, addressed her and bowed! It still gives me goose bumps and makes me a little teary eyed while I type this, the look on her face was worth every penny I spent to go to WDW!

Now if I could just get my princess to come down to earth all would be great

I have a couple of "magical moments" from Disney that I'd love to share.
My dd - who was 4 for the first "moment" and 5 for the second one still talks about these times today!
Our first trip to MK, we decided to stay for the night time parade. My dd is a big princess freak!! She was soooo excited when Cinderella's carriage went by - and just at the moment that Cinderella was passing us, she blew a kiss in my dd's direction. Now I know that she probably does that every 5 feet or so... but in my daughter's eyes that kiss was aimed right at her!!!!
Last year, when dd was 5 - we visited Turtle talk with Crush. My dd has a Minnie Mouse baseball cap with ears on it and Crush called out to her "hey, little dude with the polka dot hat - you're pretty cute".... she still tells people about that almost a year later!!!!! We're back again in 2 weeks! Can't wait!
Also, someone mentioned something about magic moment certificates?? What are those??????????

We just got back last night from our week+ trip to WDW. It was truly magical in every way!! My favorite moment was what I was most looking forward too. We planned our trip last minute and I didn't think that we would have a chance at all to be able to get a reservation at CRT. I called and gave it a try anyway and we were able to book breakfast for the day before we were heading home. My daughter (2) is obsessed with Cinderella. She talks about her all the time and just loves her. Every day of the trip she asked us if it was time for Cinderella breakfast. Finally the day came and we headed over to the MK. When we met Cinderella she asked my daughter what her name was, she said Cinderella. Cinderella thought it was pretty cute and asked her if she knew her 2 princes names. She said their names and we chatted with Cinderella for a few minutes. We headed up for breakfast (which was AMAZING!) and on our way out to the parks my boys thanked Cinderella for breakfast and she said, Your welcome ..and called them both by name!! I was amazed that after talking to all those kids that she remembered their names. They were completely stunned. It was great. Later on that day we decided to stay for the Share a Dream Come true parade (normally we headed back for our daughter to take a nap and for us to have a break). We were sitting on the side of the street and we spotted Cinderellas big ball coming down by Liberty Square. My daughter & sons started waving wildly at her. She saw us and pointed down to us and said to Prince Charming (there is Cinderella and her princes and AGAIN called the boys by name!) I couldn't believe it. My husband and I looked at each other and were like, did that really happen? It was the best part of the entire trip and made our vacation something we will never forget. My kids are STILL talking about it. Even my boys! Cinderella deserves a big raise : I think we just had a bit of pixie dust following us that day.

On our trip this past Fall, we had adr's at CRT for dinner before MNSSHP.

We'd never eaten in the castle before and I asked the hostess after being escorted up the stairs, if it was possible to have a table with a view of the outside (I wanted to watch the park being decorated for MNSSHP).

She said she needed to look and as she looked at her paper, she chuckled and said "you already have the best seat in the house!" Without a further word, she escorted us to the table at the window directly looking at the carousel. It was a wonderful view.

As the park cleared in preparation for the party, there was no one to be seen walking in the areas between the castle and carousel. As the sun lowered, the carousel lights became visible and occaisionally, the carousel rotated (I didn't see anyone riding it). I pretended they were doing it just for us!

The other magical moment on this trip involved a character breakfast at Crystal Palace. We were eating and one of the character's handler came to our table (the character was a few tables away with another family), said nothing and proceeded to interact gently with DD9, who was also saying nothing. He pretended to want some of her food, she pretended to ignore him, he persisted, she moved her food, etc. This series of exchanges last a few minutes but was comical and sweet as they connected without saying a word. That immediate connection between 2 people who didn't know each other made it magical and I enjoyed watching it!

This year we took our WDW trip with friends who have a DD9. It was so fun to get to do girly stuff like Cinderellabration without all the sighing and eye-rolling from the menfolk. Our most magical moment came when our young friend who is a total Tinkerbell fan got to wake up Tink! My DH said he has never seen me run so fast.
Also, our own DS8 agreed to have his hair cut in the Main Street Barbershop while we went to Tink's Treasures. He got the colored gel and Mickey confetti - the works. Both families met back at the Bakery for breakfast. It was a perfect morning in the Happiest Place on Earth!
