As DVC members and others who are considering DVC, we have a lot of experience traveling to Disney. This experience and knowledge can translate into amazing trips. We will be soon be traveling to our Disney home :woohoo: and I am looking for some great things I may not have experienced before. Could you share with me your Disney favorites. I am especially interested in the not so obvious.

Thanks DISers!! :flower3:

One thing i experienced for the first time this past summer was the movie on the beach at BC. From 7-7:30pm there was a bonfire sing-a-long, from 7:30-8pm was the s'mores roast, and then at 8pm they showed a Disney movie (Nemo was on the night we went) on a big screen right there on the beach. Best of all, it was free!! Well, they did charge $7 for the big pack of s'more stuff.

It was an fabulous alternative to the parks and the typical night life of Disney (DTD, Boardwalk).

At AKV, we love to go down to the Flamingo area and watch what a wonderfual social structure these animals have! I could watch them all day!

We also enjoy exploring the gardens in World Showcase at Epcot. It's amazing how many 'hidden Mickey's' you can find that the gardners have 'hidden' among the plantings!

Thanks you guys, these are wonderful ideas. Does anyone have a favorite at DHS or the Magic Kingdom?:wizard:

THis year we tried something new, several of us (you have to be 16 & over) did the Epcot Segway Tour. It was fun, informative and in the am tour you have Epcot all to yourselves. It was great fun! and then for my fishing enthousiasts (Son & Uncle) we booked the Bass Fishing Cruise. My son caught 5 bass and his uncle 8, it breaks up the day to day grind of doing the parks. It was relaxing, breezy even in June and they absolutely loved it and would do it again.

You could try parasailing over the lake and MK. You need to make reservations and the boat leaves from the Contemporary. It's not cheap, but is sure a neat experience.

We rent those little boats for an hour out of the Contemporary Resort. It's fun and a great way to see bay lake and the 7 seas lagoon. They've changed the age over the years at which you can drive the boat without an adult. This summer my 16 year old was so happy to be able to have his own boat instead of riding with me.

Another year we went on a fireworks cruise from the Grand Floridian, 9 of us with a captain on a nice pontoon boat. He gave us a nice tour of the lagoon with interesting little bits of disney trivia. It lasted an hour and we saw the MK fireworks and the water parade.

We bought into BWV in 1998 and two years into our fun we experienced Vero Beach. The resort and CMs just blew us away. Just love the small foot print and all the activities they have. The CMs there (along with HHI) are just different and longstanding... Pros in every sense of the word. It has completely changed our outlook on our DVC membership.
