do you know the name of this product ?? Is it called fluidline ??

MAC also makes a KOHL eyeliner pencil... what do you think of this ??

I cannot use kohl eyeliners of any brand, although I never tried MAC. In order for them to be soft enough to glide on your eye it has to be an oil base mixed with pigment. I don't use them because they melt off my eyes and leave a big mess. I have also tried a water based pencil, but they dry out fast and really tug your eye.

Yes it is Fluidline! The best tip for application I have found is to use a small amount on a brush and tap it on your lash line then quickly (dries fast) smudge it for a soft long lasting line. You can repeat this process if you want a darker line but applying too much at once will clump. So layers is the way to go. It is really great stuff. The bottle look small but since you don't use a lot it will last a long long time.

I have seen it (fluidline) but have never ventured out to buy it.... because then.... I would have to go and buy the brush ... ( and I have NO idea which one would be a good one ) . but then when I finish each time , do I clean the brush and leave it out in the open ?? just on the bathroom counter ??

I know I know,,,, I am one strange duck... these little things have me thinking...

No not strange just particular ;) I completely understand as I am very particular about my things too!

I think the fluidline is inexpensive...under $15.00 if I remember corectly. The brush is not much more. After usnig it I rinse it under water then blot it dry with tissue and that's it. It is a fine brush, so it will dry in no time.

I never understood the importance of really good makeup brushes until I started buying them. What a huge difference. A good brush in an investement which will last a very long time with proper care. I have had some for many years.

Me, too. I clean mine occassionally with shampoo.

How do you all remove your eye make-up, especially the waterproof mascara? I usually leave mine on all night, then after my morning shower I remove the raccoon eyes with Vasoline, then rinse with water.

hi there...
speaking of great makeup finds...has anyone out there found a great eyeliner that will not run down your face??? anything besides the BE products ??

I have been urged to try the eyeliners from MAC ... but not sure ...
I have spent quite a bit of $$$$ of several eyeliners but still no luck !!

TIA.

I've never tried MAC, so I can't compare, but I really like Mary Kay Signature Eyeliner in Sable or charcoal. Very nice.

Anyone try Elf cosmetics?? They are all $1. I wonder if they are any good. I guess they can't be too bad for a buck. But I would love to hear feedback.

I love love love this product. It does not give you racoon eyes and it is waterproof. It actually coats your lashes and comes off with regualr soap and water in little tubes. Look here www.blincinc.com it's the kiss me mascara....I have been using it for 2-3 years and it is amazing. I buy it in Sephora.

Thanks for the info on Kiss Me Mascara! I have a Sephora store at the mall by my office; I will buy some and try it! It sounds great - I can't believe I have never heard of it. I especially like the fact that the "tubes" come off without rubbing the delicate eye area skin too much.

 Hello fellow make-up addicts. Well I am not sure if you are an addict, but I sure am! lol

Anyways, I have tried so many products but here are my all time favs for roaming WDW.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer - Actually keeps your make-up in place and keeps it from "melting" off. Especially helpful in WDW when the humity is terrible. This primer also provides a nice smooth base for your make-up.

MAC Studio Fix Foundation - This is a pressed powder foundation that provides a light coverage; however, you can build up the coverage. I love this because it can easily fit into your purse and does not melt off like liquid foundation. Powder foundations are great for oily skin too.

MAC tinted lip conditioner - This comes in little pots and is just a tinted lip balm. However, it has a wonderful vanilla smell and keeps your lips moist. You can also get a clear version with SPF.

Smashbox Lash Primer - A white primer you can put on before your mascara and it gives you that fake eyelash look.

Cover Girl Lash Exact Mascara - A great cheap mascara that works great all due to the brush. Although it is not waterproof, I have never had this smudge on me.

BeneFit Dallas Blush/Bronzer - This is a beautiful blush that also adds a bit of bronze to your cheeks. A little goes a long way and it will last forever!

MAC eyeshadow - A zillion colors to choose from with something for everyone; from frost and glitter to matte colors. MAC has great pigmentation. For a cheaper version check out Milani or NYX eyeshadows: some of the colors are dupes for MAC at a fourth of the price!

I have tried ELF and they are ok, but you get what you pay for. Check your local Target, because they sale some items over with the travel goodies. Which items are you interested in? I have tried most of them.

As for eyeliner... I have to say MAC is the best. A lot of companies have started carrying gel eyeliners in pots, but fluidline from MAC has the best staying power. Plus it is very easy to apply. I have tried many pencils and I looked terrible, however I mastered fluidline in 3 attempts. And like someone else said... you need very little and it will last a very long time.

MAC also now has out Liquid Last Liners and these WILL NOT come off without make-up remover. In fact, you have to use an alcohol based remover, the best cheap one I have found is Pond's Bare & Repair. It works great.

As for a brush to use, you can visit your local craft store and pick up a cheap flat brush to use for under $2. CVS also sells a brand called Essence of Beauty and their eyeliner brush is great for under $3.

The other thing people have talked about it using e/s as a eyeliner. While using water will help it stay, if you use Paula Dorf's Transformer or Smashbox's Converter it will stay much longer!

I use eyeliner pencil (Anna Sui in black) and put eyeshadow over it with a liner brush(usually Trucco holographic shadow) and that keeps it from bleeding.

I love this too! It's a perfect pinky/peachy/bronzy color. I have Hoola bronzer too...I have had it for a few years...it lasts forever

I have read a couple posts with eyelash primer? I can't beleive this is something that I have totally missed out on in all my 36 years!! Amazing.........

Anyways, this stuff makes you look like you are wearing false eyelashes?? That would be great since my natural ones are almost invisible! Wow, I am going to have to check this out.

? to anyone who has used it.......... can you wear it with waterproof mascara with no problem?

I have seen some people with incredibly thick eyelashes and wondered how they got them, maybe this is the answer?....... very cool :thumbsup2

Yes I use it when I am going out. It makes a huge difference. It's applied like mascara, but it is white.

Curl your lashes first, then apply the primer and let it dry completely then apply your mascara. You may only need 1 coat of mascara because the primer really makes your lashes big. I ust use regular mascara with it so I cannot comment on waterproof. Some brands make the mascara and primer in 1 product. It has primer on one end and mascara on the other...you might want to try that. I think L'Oreal makes it (not sure).

Yes! I have used it with both waterproof and regular mascara and it works like a charm. Like someone else mentioned their are a couple of drugstore versions in which you get the primer and the mascara, and I have tried them all and prefer the smashbox one. That way I can use my favorite mascara with it!

Oh, a tip for a freebie! Smashbox is doing a free product with order and calling it "Let's Do Lunch Thursday". If you order from their website on Thursdays between 9 am - 2 pm PST, they will add a free gift (often full sized) to your order. It changes every Thrusday. But a couple of weeks ago, I got a full size blush that sells for $22! The item I ordered was the primer which was only $14. You can't beat that!

I am going to run to the store after work and get some to try out. Can't wait to see how it works :goodvibes

I used to use Chanel mascara in copper, but they have discontinued that color. They have a mascara that is a gel that works great - doesn't clump or make your lashes stiff. However, it will not make "big" lashes. It is also kind of expensive ($20) - and I've been looking for something different for the past couple of years and have yet to find anything I'm really happy with. Almay does have a nice copper-brown out right now - but, the brush is odd (bristles in 2 different/alternating lengths) and it clumps easily. So, I'm still looking for a good mascara that doesn't have a curved brush, doesn't come out of the tube clumpy, and doesn't flake.
Try Revlon Lash Fantasy Waterproof. It has the primer on one end and color on the other. This stuff doesn't come off untill you take it off and it dosen't bleed onto your bottom eyelid (which is a problem for those with oily skin). It also makes your lashes look long.

Mascara - Lancome Defincils - my mom's cousins are in the makeup business and the difference in mascara is generally the wand, not the mascara itself.

Benefit cosmetics make some awesome products, too - Boing! is the best concealer I have ever used! Lemon-aid is a creme that you put on your eyelids to get rid of that dark-brown, greasy, tired look.
