Share you DLR scrapbooking pages

Ok - so I am trying to get inspired to sit down and scrapbook all my pics from our trip this spring, but just can't get the motivation to do it. I know that once I get started I will want to go and do the whole trip but it seems overwhelming with SO MANY pics to decide between!

Anyways... I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we could share pics of our DLR scrapbook pages if anyone has scanned their pages or just wanted to share tips!

Inspire me!!!

I understand - I usually print out around 250 pics per trip (I take close to a hundred a day) and it's so hard to narrow them down. FWIW - I do mine in a post bound album so that I can use photo sleeves and page inserts together. I get the 12 x 12 photo sleeves for all of the 4 x 6's and then put them in chronological order. Once that is done I make a two page layout for each day that we are there and insert it in the appropriate spot in the album. It's great because we can look at all of the wonderful photo's, but still have the cute pages to display other items and special pictures. Anymore than that and I don't know that I could handle it.

Disneydreamerbelle -- your set up sounds very interesting and like a great idea! May I ask what kind of product you use? Also, how many photos fit on a 12x12 sleeve. i'm having a hard time picturing it in my head.

I use pioneer photo albums and scrapbooks. I do one of each. I put more photos in the albums, but I still only put the best in. I put less photos in the scrapbook, but still more photos that your average scrapper. I print 2 copies of the photo, one for the scrap and one for the album. it's a lot of work but I do enjoy it. Unfortunately I'm over 3 years behind. LOL.

That's what I do for my DS yearly albums, and it is a lot of work but well worth it! That way when he leaves home he will have his pictures, but I can keep the scrapbooks!

I use Chatterbox albums, and the Scrapworks - Anthropolgy line style E for the photos. They hold six photos on each side so 12 total per sheet. I like them because I can take the photos in and out when needed, rather than mounting them on a sheet. I use the standard page protectors for my layouts.

Disneydreamerbelle -- I would love to see a photo of what the photo pages look like. I examine my photo album compared to my 12x12 scrapbook and the photo album is clearly taller. The album has pages that fold, but each page holds 6 photos on each side, so 12 total. They fold in half so that the album is tall and skinny.

When I scrap I average 5 photos on a page. Sometimes I can get 6, and rarely just 4. For me it's all about the photos, putting them in order, and telling the story.

The digital pages above are impressive! But part of the fun of me is the physical craft of cutting and pasting and laying it out on the table. My books are not impressive looking by most standards. LOL.

Pioneer has their own format so I don't know if it would work with their products. I have used a couple of different 12 x 12 post bound albums, and they have all been compatible. I know the Chatterbox box albums work with the inserts from Scrapworks.

This is how I do my pages with a single or double layout and the pictures on the following pages. The particular photo sleeves I used in this album are no longer available, so the photo below is the new one I found from Scrapworks. I haven't done any layouts for the latest album, but I will just go back and put them in the appropriate spots when I get the chance.

Thanks for posting the pictures! This is definately something to consider in the future. The photo pages look similar to the ones I use with pioneer, there's just less space between the photos so the page can be shorter.

I have used pioneer products for decades so there's a bit of brand loyalty. But I always fear I will no longer be able to find their items and it's good to know what other options are out there!

tlovesdis - where did you get that font with the letters in the mickey head? I love it! I am new to digital scrapbooking so I am just trying to get a hang of this and am always in search of new fonts! Also where do you get the Disney font? Thanks!

Do you mean the one in the birthday party layout? I bought a digital package of some kind on ebay a long time ago and it is part of that.

The disney font can be downloaded for free from many different font sites. It's usually called Walt Disney Script.

mariezp...THANKS~ it was just a luck of the draw shot with my little point and shoot digital the 1st day we were at Disney...we were in the little store at the DLH and she decided to look outside at all the people walking by...I couldn't believe that I actually got the shot! and there is no photoshopping of the picture at all...that is the original shot~
