Share Tips For Keeping Cool at the Park

I just use a regular old hand fan (that I got in Epcot). Fits nicely in my small purse and never runs out of battery lol. I'm old, so can't carry a bulky backpack. I did use one of those wet neck towels, which I liked, but a couple of my shirts got soaked in front. I hadn't thought about that.

I've tried the wet neck towels and they drive me nuts - thought I'd try these although "recooling" them seems to be a project unless you have a stroller to carry a cooler with ice packs? Do they work well enough to bother? /// These are on sale today with the carrier and 10% if you check the box. Hopefully, a couple $1 ice packs from Walmart will fit in the carrier.

Any other tips?

Did you buy one? If so, were you in the Haunted Mansion line on 8/8/24 around 1 pm?

We saw the neck cool rings everywhere when we were in Japan but we didn’t get them only because we didn’t have a place to chill them while out and about. We did get UV umbrellas there which helped tremendously with the heat blocking out the direct sunlight. I used my little umbrella all last week at DL and it worked great. They also sold cooling towels with menthol in them that were amazing that claimed to lower your temperature by 15 degrees, wish I bought more to bring home with me for our trips to WDW. My husband didn’t like the wipes because he hates the smell of menthol. I however loved them. I was hoping I could find the cooling wipes on Amazon but this seems to be the closest version available in the US according to the reviews and description. https://a.co/d/dyzDgBL

I wear a bucket hat with a mid sized brim and when I feel it heating up I soak it the brim sits on my neck and helps keep me cool

I bought the neck ring - jury is still out on carrying them (unless you have a stroller for a cooler to recool them) due to the fact they do not stay cool that long but feel nice when they do, I got a cheap one $8 and an expensive one $20 - no difference. I was not there 8/8 :/

I still find a light usb rechargeable hand fan with a spot to add water to be the best for low weight.
