Share a secret about yourself....

I'm with those of you who enjoy your time alone. I've been married for almost 47 years and DH has been TDY for about a total of fifteen of those years. Right now he's a contractor/consultant with the State Dept. and he works four months on, one month off.

I do miss him a lot, but DDs take turns "keeping Mom company" (i.e., babysitting Mom) and I fly up to Washington every six weeks or so for a visit, but that's more like a mini-honeymoon than living together. One of us will probably commit murder once he's home for good!

I think new born babies are all pretty much ugly. They "cute" up after a few weeks. Every time a new parent posts pictures of their brand new little one on facebook, or shows me pictures I coo and gush appropriately... But new born babies look like wrinkled potatoes!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a reality show junkie.

I watch the Real Housewives of EVERYWHERE, Amazing Race, Millionaire Matchmaker, Kardashians, Mob Wives, and my most shameful secret is that I actually watched Brett Michaels Rock of Love. From beginning to end. Every episode. And I looked forward to it. And I liked it.

My first wedding to DH was a fake-out.
Our paper work wasn't in order so we actually got married 4 months later, after DH finished boot camp, by a justice of the peace.
So I have 2 anniversaries: the first new years and the 2nd (real one) tax day!

Shhhh don't tell dad, he thinks he gave me away, and it was all legal when we went on the honeymoon!

Wow! Besides Amazing Race I've never heard of any of those shows. I guess that's pretty embarrassing (living under a rock and all)

I agree, except for mine.:rotfl2:

Our pastor used to have the perfect response to overly-gushy new parents: "Of all the new-born babies I've ever seen, that's one of them!" The new parents heard just what they wanted to hear!

I actually watch Duck Dynasty and Moonshiners regularly. I watch other reality sporadically.

I feed the squirrels at Disney. OK...some people know that about me and love me anyway. Others will want to have me banned from the parks forever.

I was nominated for an Emmy.

Heck, I was going to say I pick my nose! Now I don't think that's a good enough response. :rotfl:

My secret that nobody knows is that I met my husband online. I've been intentionally vague about that to family and friends over the years, because at the time it was frowned upon. I know it's much more common today. And often a wonderful way to meet people. :)

I only work part time (12 hours a week) and I like it. I should be bored but I really like playing around on the computer, watching reality TV and going to Target any time I want. I sleep kind of late most days, too. My husband thinks I'm looking for full time work - but I'm really not looking hard.

I have a secret crush on a neighbor who lives down the road, and I've had a crush on him since I was 14!:sad2:he was actually my first kiss. I might be 40 ish now!

I do love my DH very much!

Wow...can we have details or would that give away your identity? Now I'm curious!

My secret...let me first say I love my husband of seventeen years...but I have always wondered what happened to my first love from college. We dated five years and I thought for sure we would marry. He broke it off and married someone else eight months later (and no she wasn't expecting.) anyhow I have looked him up on the Internet to find news on him. Funny enough Jennasis I know he lives somewhere in the Triad.

I've voted in every Presidential election since 1988, but didn't like the person I voted for in any of them. Not one. My votes have all been an effort to keep the "other guy" out of office. I don't have the guts to go third party. :(

Your milk comes in a bag?

Yup, I am from Ontario, Canada. So a 4L bag of milk has 3 "sub-bags" in it. We then put the bag in a holder. I know crazy :crazy2:. The only place I know of to get Jugs is Mac's Milk around here. My old boss was from the US and he always complained about the bags :P. And much like toilet rolls, it always seems to be empty and I am the one to replace it. We then put the bag in the holder and snip the corner off. I know, crazy again. Sigh.
