We have been having a pre-holiday Disney evening with the friends we're going with in four weeks time! :smooth: :sunny: :teeth: :teeth: :sunny: :smooth: complete with backing music courtesy of the Millennium Celebration CD!

We've been wondering what the MNSSHP parade will be and dh came up with this. Anyone know?

Hehehe. Well, I will rack my brains to what it was a couple of years ago, but it may have changed you understand...

Ummmm....well, not including the headless horseman, who rides the route about 10 minutes before the main parade....it started with all the Pooh characters dressed in their Halloween trick or treat costumes (Pumpkin Pooh, Eeyore in bandages as a mummy I think, Tigger as a skeleton and Piglet as a flower.) then there was a float of Villains playing music and doing a rap of all things, LOL Maleficent (or maybe it was the evil queen from Snow White, can't remember exactly), the Queen of Hearts playing an electric piano etc, then came Cruella with henchmen and the Dog Catcher van with yes...2 Dalmations and some puppies :) There was a float with Hades, there was a Country Bear Jamboree type thing - not sure why they were there apart from making it an excuse to be kid friendly as they had a big cart full of kiddies taking part in the parade at that point, then there was a sort of HM type theme, with lots of grey ghost like people who were leading a float with Chip and Dale on...well, their eyes and there ears atleast, the rest of them were covered with big ghosty sheets, then at the end there was a sort of barn tower closing up the parade with a sort of farmer Mickey & Minnie dancing, and the rest of the main characters doing sort of country dancing around the base.

That's all I can really remember, but I seem to recall I liked it a lot - it's a fun parade, if you know what I mean :)

Hi Deb

You're not ging to believe this, but (apart from when I visited the World long before Darryl and Katie came into my life), the only parade we've ever seen was the electric parade in MK in 1999 - and then we left ASAP because is was just so incredibly full in the park. It was the last day of our holiday and I'd been looking forward to seeing a parade all holiday. When we arrived, at about 7pm, they were already 3 deep on the pavements of the parade route. Got this really bad feeling and by the time the parade started we saw one tiny little corner of Pete the Dragon. At this stage I'm getting definately worried about the amount of people who would all be trying to leave the park at the same time:( It was such a hot, humid evening and the thought of trying to get out with all the other thousands and thousands of people made us all nervous, so at 9.15 we started to try and find the exit - fortunately ran (well, hardly ran, it was like sardines in a can there:rolleyes: ) into a CM who showed us a quick way out so we hit the monorail and were in the car park when the fireworks went off - we did have a good view, but I lost some of my magic that night:( .

So, what I'm rambling about to say is - we are SO looking forward to the MNSSHP parade when we go on 20th. DD is Eeyore mad so is very excited about seeing him in the parade and I understand that only X amount of people are allowed in each party, so the crowds should (hopefully) be more manageable. I've looked at lots of parade photos and it looks fantastic. Especially this headless horseman everyone raves over. Started practising with my camera already ;)

So, although I don't have a Scream to share with you, hopefully I will when we get back.

Not long now, hey:cool: :p  :p

..... enjoyed looking at your photos Kaylee - lurve the Toy Story float!
