"The conversion of the Share a Dream Come True parade to the Disney Dreams Come True parade continues, as the Mickey, Pinocchio and villain floats have already been stripped of their snowglobes. By the time that the new version of the parade officially premieres on August 10 (with new music), the two remaining floats will have been transformed and the three-part princess float will have returned as three separate floats. The venerable castle float will again return to mothballs until it is next pressed into service."

Does anyone know what this is about? I apologize if this has already been posted, but I wasn't aware that the parade was changing. Does anyone know if this is for the better?

I have read this too. I am actually excited to see what they come up with. I saw the Share a Dream Come True parade, and would like to see a new one in Dec.

Once it debuts then we can decide if it is for the better. I can't imagine it will be bad.

The "new" parade will use the same floats minus the snow globes, and will have all new music and choreography. It's high energy and should be great fun!

I'm anxious to see what the new parade is like. My niece just loves our video with Share a Dream Come True parade. She likes the music.

We won't be going until Dec 2007, so I'm not sure if they'll change the parade yet again by the time we get there.

Great

The "snowglobe" didn't wow me at all. :sad2: I watched it once during our 2004 visit. We didn't even try to fit in during our 2005 trip.

I'm really looking forward to something new. :cheer2:

The new parade should be great. The floats look wonderful, just waiting to see how the princess floats turn out. The new music is VERY peppy, upbeat, and catchy. I am really looking forward to seeing the parade next week. Here are pictures of the new floats.

Oh, I"m so glad I found this thread!! I read about this on Mouseplanet and came directly to the DIS to see what you all had heard. Thank you so much for posting pictures!!! I was quite upset that it was leaving, as those floats are my FAVORITE! I think the parade is just wonderful. The new ones look great, too -- if just the snowglobe is leaving, I can handle new music and choreography with the floats looking that good! :thumbsup2

i never saw the old one, but i'll be there too see this one in 9 days just after opening

Just got back and all the snow globes are gone. Much better parade before. And no longer any inter-action with guests. It just didn't seem to have much "magic."

The snowglobes were cute, but I always felt a bit claustrophobic for the characters in them. lol I'm looking forward to the new parade. :sunny:

Joanna, I loved your pictures!!
Thank you so much for sharing! You just make my day :goodvibes

I'll be there on the 15th. My DM and DF surprised me with a trip to see them in Orlando. They realize that all trips to Orlando culminate in me seeing Mickey, not them!!!! If I remember, I'll report on the new parade.

No problem. I hope to be there on the 10th and tape the parade with my camera. If so, I will be able to probably download it here.

Oh, I loved that part! The kids were always so amazed when - for example - Mickey knew they had Mickey Ears on and commented on them! That was too cute!

I don't know what you mean. This is the same parade (minus the globes) as it has been since 2004.

During the parade, it would stop several times along the route. The characters who were walking would go to the crowd and pick out children to dance with them, etc., for a few minutes. Then the parade would continue. There didn't seem to be any of that last week.

They haven't done that for over 2 years.

Thanks for the pictures! I also always felt weird about the snow globoes. We went on a KTTK Tour and someone asked if they were air condtioned and the CM said no because it would cause condensation with all the heat. So that just bothered me because it had to be like a terairium in there for the characters. :guilty:
