Shaping up for 2.0

just got in from a 2.5 mile jog, knew I should have done it this morning when it was only 75 degrees...but no stupid me waited til this evening and the temp was 91...on the bright side the temp is now down to a brisk 89 :upsidedow

Yuck!
I had an eventt an hour after work, so I went to a quick pizza/sandwich place. I had a hankering for a good fish sandwich. It was a fried rectangle. Fish aren't supposed to be rectangles! At least the fries were good. (but not good for me) Also a small iceberg lettuce salad.

It was a waste of calories that didn't even taste good!:sad2:

I am writing down everything I eat. But am still eating the same stuff.

I hope I do better next week.

dont you hate that. you have a craving for something...something obviously not good for you, you get it and then it doesnt even taste anywhere near as good as you hoped. If I am going to eat something bad for me, it dang well should at least taste good!

I'll be weighing in tomorrow, hoping to be able to post some postive results here when I come home. Went food shopping tonight, and bought more fruit. I do have a question someone might know the answer to.... I have always enjoyed making a nice breakfast for the family of eggs with either bacon or sausage. Obviously, not the healthiest choice for me anymore. But in all reality, the rest of them don't need it either. Can anyone offer ideas for a healthy alternative to bacon and sausage, that won't ruffle too many feathers? For now I just bought the low sodium bacon, and figured I just won't have any of it. Any suggestions are much appreciated. And any recommendations for avoiding temptation at the movies? We're taking the kids to see UP tomorrow night.

You can try a bacon atturnative called chicken or turkey bacon which doesn't taste too bad, just it doesn't taste like bacon, remember that or you will be disappointed. You could also try ham as well. :)

Well I cmae home and my car broke down. It is still in the shop after a week.
So I have done well with the food and made healthy choices this week. However I have not been getting to the gym, b/c of the lack of a car.
Looks like it is going to be Wednesday before I get my car back so I am going to attempt to get off my butt this afternoon and go for a walk.
I gotta get some excersise. :)

I weighed in today....

I lost 2.2 lbs. this week.

So I made it past the 40 lb. mark. Should I put a DIS WISH milestone marker in my signature, now? :teeth:

:dance3::dance3: awesome!
I thought the wish markers were supposed to be the goal? Am I incorrect?

Thanks. :) I don't know, as I really hadn't read the WISH boards. I always just thought those meant people had lost the amounts listed in their banners. I guess I should read about them.

they actually have a 'goal' clippie

I walked 1.2 miles listening to the DIS archives this morning before it got steamy outside. Probably won't get to walk tomorrow due to a busy church schedule unless I go early and walk around the church gym a few laps.

I love "fake" bacon as Stephan calls it. Like you said, it tastes nothing like bacon, but it is still good.

Sorry about the car. Did you get to go for a walk?

Nice job on the walking!! :yay:

My intention was to walk or do Wii Fit today and didn't. I also wanted to clean the bathrooms and didn't. Wanted to do the grocery shopping...seeing a pattern here? :sad2:

I was down 0.4 at WI this morning. At least it was the right direction even if it was pitiful. This week will be better!

I didn't get a chance to go for a walk yesterday afternoon as hubby went MIA. He doesn't do this ever, so I figure maybe tomorrow. :)

How did the weekend go for everyone?

For me, eating could have been better, definitely has been worse. I didn't get any structured exercise in, but I cleaned around the house for several hours yesterday, and my legs are really feeling it today.

Last week was much better than the two weeks prior, so I just want to continue on that path this week. I especially would like to get more planned activity.

got in about 2 miles saturday...but ate horrible all weekend...and drank a lot of "empty calories" :)

Ditto for me as well.

Oh, and a new goal, get rid of this damn chest cold!

Just signed up for a local 5K. That should give me some motivation!

I actually did really well last week, stayed within my calorie count every day but Saturday. Had to go to a wedding and nothing at a wedding is low cal LOL...

I also worked 30-60 minutes a day and John and I bought bikes on Friday night so we rode yesterday about 3-4 miles. This will give us one more activity to get us up and moving I hope. I enjoyed it and it didn't feel like exercise.

So overall I was pretty happy with what I did for week #2

I am so glad this thread was started. I jumped on the scale (well not really cause it would of broke) and lo and behold I have lost 6.6lbs. I am writing everything that goes in my mouth down and have started exercizing again.
