Has anyone used the shampoo & conditioner at the Contemporary as of late? I don't know what they are putting in the room, but I'd love to not bring mine from home this trip. Problem is, I have long, fine hair & it tangles easily...I need a pretty nice shampoo & cond. or I'll be missing days in the park trying to comb out my hair!!

I've stayed at the CR many times, and my recommendation would be to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. I also have thin, fine hair and the CR shampoo and conditioner is CRap in my experience and opinion. But that's my own opinion, and I believe other responders will have had success with the CR hair products. How long are you staying? There could be those trial size bottles of your hair products that you could toss into your check-in luggage if you don't want to go full size. Good luck and enjoy your time in the World!!:thumbsup2

Never tried any of the shampoo or conditoner from any of the resorts. I know I brought them home to give to a friend's kids bad move. The kids didn't like it so Mom told me not to bring anymore back for them lol. I thought they would get a kick out of the soaps shaped like Mickey Mouse years ago. I would bring your own:)

I agree with the above PPs - bring your own. I find that no matter how good a hotel is the conditioner never matches the quality of my own.

On occasion I will just thrown mine away before leaving the hotel so I don't have to worry about it on the flight home (as packing is usually more rushed and I'd rather not deal with it all over my things when I get back!).

Thanks everyone...I guess I'll bring from home. They never have my brand in trial sizes, but it sounds like anything I find will be better than Disney's. Darn. Trying to pack light just never works for me! :lmao:

I think the CR has H20 Aquatics now which is really nice....worlds better than the old WDW products. Have any of you tried it?

Typically, hotel/motels use the cheapest product they can get. Disney and CR may be a slight step up, but I wouldn't think it would be worth the risk of tangled hair.

If you don't have trial size bottles of your brand (I don't), you can buy those plastic bottles in the travel section at Target (maybe Wal-Mart too). I just squeeze some of my shampoo and conditioner from the jumbo-sized bottles into those small bottles. The new ones fit in the ziploc baggies for airlines, and you aren't adding a bunch of weight to your bags. I buy the plastic bottles with different colored lids for each kind so I know which is which (sometimes I am not fully awake in the shower!:rolleyes1 ) These work great for a special body wash as well. You can always reuse them for a different vacation. And the bonus - it minimizes the opportunity for a shampoo explosion in your suitcase.

In the deluxe resorts they have the Aquatics line from H2O (if you Google it you can see all of their products). Because of a WDW trip I now order this stuff online because I love it! I love the way it smells, the way my hair behaves with it (very fine hair that tends to frizz unless made to behave) and the way my hair feels afterwards.

If anyone gets those little bottles and wants to unload them I'd be happy to take them off your hands. ;)

I just these for a quick trip my daughter was taking. 50 cents at walmart.

You know what...I'm gonna try the Aquatics H2O stuff...we're only there for 4 days, and it'll be so hot my hair will probably end up in a ponytail anyway...less packing for me!

This is what I do as well. I love having my own shampoo and conditioner, as well as my own bath products.

H20 Aquatics are not cheap. And these days many nicer hotels use boutique products. I think WDW hotels are keeping up with that trend.

The GF puts H20 Spa products in their rooms. Several of them are outstanding IMO.

Here's the link to the resort line at H2O Plus which is the brand Disney uses now. H2O Plus is a Chicago company. About two years ago, Disney switched from the old type of generic stuff to this line which, as you can see, is also used at Hyatt resorts. It's wonderful and not at all cheap or junky. The quality is certainly better than the drugstore brands.

Here's another link to a story about the company itself and its founder, a 45 year old Chicagoan. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/chi-mon-h2o-plus-cindy-melk-jul14,0,3174815.story

There was an article in yesterday's Trib about how successful her company has been.

I'm one of those fans who loves the Cubs and Sox!:scared1: What a great year....so far.:cool1:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the H2O products!!!

I started buying the Aquatics shampoo/conditioner after our last trip to the Poly. I loved them so much that I tried their skincare products and I love them, too! I'm addicted and can't imagine using anything else.

They sell the Aquatics shampoo & conditioner at Ulta if you're interested in a sneak peek!

Oooo...good to know! I think I'll wait to try it at WDW, but it's good to know where to find it if I really like it! I'm one of those gals who tries every shampoo trying to find the one that'll give me Hollywood hair! :rotfl:

Me too! I have wavy hair but it's not thick. It also tends to frizz, especially in humidity. :scared: It was the first trip to WDW where I felt like I didn't have bad hair all of the time. I took the extras back home and still loved it!

Have a great trip!

I just bought Sunsilks Anti-Poof shampoo and conditioner that I'm definitely going to take with me when I go because I'm remembering generic shampoo at Pop. However, we're switching over to the AKL for the second half of our vacation. Does the AKL have the H2O shampoo & conditioner? I'll be willing to give it a wing if they do, as long as I have my back-ups.:thumbsup2 TIA
