Hi everyone, you all (if you all knew me ...) would be so proud of how I've packed -- I'm notorious for "overpacking" - and I've managed to just use "two" suitcases and NO carryon! (i.e., I'm taking my chances putting like shampoo etc., in the checked luggage ..... "praying nothing busts ....."

ANYHOO - can you tell me if I can leave some stuff at home? Like my hairdryer? How about shampoo/conditioner or even bodywash? Again, I'm totally new to the whole "home" thing and "dvc" thing so I don't know if they don't include any of that stuff or not ........ please fill me in!!! :)

Thanks bunches!:bounce:

There is a hairdryer in the room as well as soap (not body wash) and a shampoo/conditioner. The shampoo/conditioner combo is not the greatest so if you are sensitive to that you might want to bring your own. I have long hair and need a detangling conditioner and the Disney stuff doesn't cut it.

You don't need the hairdryer...you will get a SMALL amount of soap and shampoo but no refills...all depends on how many days how many people how much you use whetehr you want to just bvring it or buy it once you are there...

HI, Disney World Mommy -

I also pack shampoo and conditioner in checked luggage and have not had a problem. I do put the bottles inside of a clear plastic bag - something like ziploc, just in case. Actually, I do that for anything liquid, including perfume and roll on deodorants. Better safe than sorry. :)

Since you are staying on a member's points (read most of your other posts, glad it worked out for you), you will only get a "starter supply" of the Disney shampoo/conditioner and bathroom sink soap. And as Jenn said, you'll most likely prefer your own. I don't recall Disney supplying any "body wash", but I've only stayed at BWV so far. The initial supply will be replenished on trash & towel days and on full cleaning days if you stay long enough to get them.

Hope you have a wonderful trip. Looking forward to reading your trip report - please do one if you have time when you return.

Carol

AGain, as everyone has stated you will only get a starter supply of everything, including soap. I'd definately pack a bar of soap, since I'm sure you don't want to run out of that!!!! I usually pack all my own stuff, and in ziploc bags. If they leak then, at least it's contained!!!!

I always tell my wife who does the packing that OKW is at WDW near Oralndo, FL. Reminding her that we are not going to the dark forests of the Amazon and anything she needs can be easily bought there, soap, shampoo, or anything else for that matter. We still pack too much. She never listens to me anyway.

That's a good point to remeber! I know I've already discovered the thing I almost forgot -- and that was my DISNEY CLUB CARD! Whew that would have been a bit costly as we are counting on that discount to get those AP's!!!! I feel much better now! (I usually forget something 'major' each trip) I'm just glad I discovered it ahead of time!!! :)
