Shame, Shame Eagles Fans

Some nasty fan dumped a liquid on a Redskin fan in the stands who just happens to be Clinton Portis' Mom.

I don't care who the fans are in the stadium, that's poor sportsmanship & the worst part is someone did it to some else's Mom.

Where is that fan's class?

I'm from Philly and an Eagles fan and I don't even like some of the Eagles fans. They are a rough bunch. We aren't all like that though.

Come on, while I agree it was mean and stupid of that fan to throw something on that women you can't put the blame on all the fans. Sadly, Philly fans are known to be occasionally classless, but not all of them.

The Phillies fans are like this too (yes, I understand not all of them). I remember when the Cardinals played them a few years ago several fans were throwing batteries and other things onto the field at one of our players. He was drafted by them and refused to play for them, so they didn't like him.

i live in SJ and hate the way eagle fans act....really puts me out there in school. I have gotten dirty looks in school, and in my neighborhood....yeah...well...airhorns ALL THE TIME!

my sweet 10 year old son is an Eagles fan. Is he classless and rough? No. Shall we blame this shamefull act on drunks or sports addicts? Might be more appropriate. There are fans like this for all teams-all teams.

Ok, well, you let me know what you would like me to do to "lead the way".

How many other fans were at the game and behaved? How many fans from the other team behaved poorly? My dd and dh are huge Eagles fans, they've never behaved poorly at a game. Making such a huge generalization seems very close minded.

I'm an Eagles fan, been one since I was born I think. I currently live in DC and went to the Skins/Eagles game here at FedEx field. I was wearing a McNabb jersey and a hat.
After the game, I was walking to the metro transportation, where some drunk Skins fan shoved me and called McNabb some obscenities and then proceeded to scream at me about how horrible the Eagles fans are. For reference, I wasn't saying anything or doing anything and I'm a 26 year old female who isn't very threatening looking.

So yeah while Eagles fans may have a rough reputation, I think most teams have fans like that. Especially when you add in the alcohol and rivalries.

I agree that there are fans like this for every team...but obviously not as many as in Philly. They have always been known for for their rough behavior.

ETA...I know that the bad ones are not a reflection of the many good one's and I hope it wasn't taken that way. I just think more of the fans in Philly are rough and roudy than other citites.

Well no, not true, we aren't the worst fans, it's just that Philly fans have the worst reputation, which the media and players like to hype whenever they can. We not only have the reputation of being the worse fans, but a reputation for being the best. I bet you never hear about "the best" part much.

And yes, years ago Ig-els fans did bean Santa with batteries and pelt opposing team members with ice balls, but hey, we do it to our own players too. We have no biases.

Philly fans are shall we say, colorful. They have reached their goal when they can get the nation talking.

I went to my first Phillies game at the age of 6 months, and was raised to be a respectful Philly fan. Yeah, we have fans that are rude...but I think it has become a reputation that some fans feel they must live up to. Booing your own team...only in Philly.

I hate to use the word hate but I HATE Eagles fans. I live near Philly and I LOVE the Washington Redskins. When people ask why I dont support the local team, well, the fans make it hard to like the Eagles.

I support the Phillies, the Flyers, the Sixers...

not the Eagles!!

Yes, but as I told my sons while we were watching the game, Clinton Portis' mom is a classly lady. She stood on the sidelines, smiling the entire time. You could tell she is proud of he son. I can't imagine standing calmly on the sidelines as my son has to keep leaving the game because of his sholder/back pain. Portis and his mom made the Skins fans proud today.
