Shaken, Not Stirred, With a Twist of Pixie Dust! A Food and Wine Trip!NEW! Pgs.75,76

Our larger window is 7/18-8/22 so...it could happen!

We haven't told the younger ones yet either but will this weekend I think.

Can't wait to see what you chose

We are going to keep our trip a secret as long as possible. Well, we're keeping one key element of the trip secret as long as possible...we'll be there from July 18 to July 23.

Jackie have a very Merry Christmas! Excited for the next trip and the pretrip report, you make them so much fun!

Merry Christmas, Laura!!! Have a wonderful holiday with your three wonderful children!!! :santa:

After an absolutely exquisite meal at Tutto Italia, Charles and I strolled leisurely through Italy.

I guess I was trying to get interesting vantage points with the camera. Who knows?

We still had a few dollars left on our super-handy Food and Wine Festival gift cards.

What to spend it on?

Any guesses?

Yep. We got Dragonberry Coladas.

While standing in line, I felt the need to take a picture of the sugar cane plant. Wonderful little plant that provides sugar, molasses, and rum. ;)

It was time to make our way back to the hotel.

Good-bye Food and Wine Festival!

109.jpg

Thank goodness for Dragonberry Coladas to ease the pain of parting!

It was a full moon that night over Mission: SPACE.

We sat on a bench, sipped our drinks, and soaked in every last minute of our time at Epcot. When we finally returned to the Caribbean Beach Resort, it was nighttime with that gorgeous full moon guiding our steps.

UP NEXT: Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig! (And Souvenir Photos!)

What? Did you want me to dish about the next trip? You have to promise to not say anything to Chelsea. We are booked at the Grand Floridian for five nights starting July 18 (the day after her 13th birthday) with that awesome 40% pin code, but we aren’t going to tell her until her birthday. I am saving all the details for the PTR though. ;)

OMG! How exciting about your next trip! I can't wait. And I'm dying to hear the PTR name Charles came up with!

Loved hearing about your last night in Epcot. We probably all know all too well those last bittersweet moments when you're trying to soak it all in and remember every last detail. Sounds like you guys did it perfectly!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Ohh, how I love the World Showcase.
Yay, for the GF:cheer2:
You think you could keep it a secret until the day before? I've tried that but when ever I book I always have a huge grin on my face and I have to tell.
What have the elves been up to lately?
Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

I can't believe you will be able to keep it quiet until July! Wow. I'm in awe.:worship: It'll be fun to read about in the meantime. :thumbsup2

Yea!!! The Grand Floridian!! We LOVED it there. She will be over the moon. GREAT update. Your pics of Italy are so beautiful. I need to try one of these drinks you keep drinking! They look delish. Congrats on booking your next trip:goodvibes

You had me at a "leisurely" stroll. I love that. Just meandering your way through Epcot. What a beautiful moon! And some nice libations to soften the blow. :thumbsup2

Congrats on booking the GF! I'm so living vicariously through you on this one.:thumbsup2

Suffice it to say that we would so not be staying anywhere as posh as where we are booked without that gem of a 40% pin. We also had to shorten our normal stay. :goodvibes

I adore palm trees -- almost as much as I like Spanish moss.

Thanks, Tracy! We (Charles and I) are pretty excited -- we haven't told the kids yet. I can't wait to start the PTR now!

Tutto now ranks up there as one of my favorite restaurants at Disney. Definitely worth a try!

Chelsea's birthday is July 17 -- it would be so fun if we could be there at the same time!

Those elves are pure craziness, but they are leaving with Santa in two nights.

We're planning to book a good bounceback offer as soon as we get there, but it'll just be for Pop. I was hoping to add two nights at AKL the time, but I don't think that's in the cards this time. Instead, we'll add one more night at Pop and maybe eat at Boma and spend some extra time walking the grounds at AKL.

You know I am crazy for palm trees, too. Since we're driving this time, I will be on the lookout for the first one of the trip, and it will be a happy moment. :)

It's good that Charles is excited about the trip.

We have to get Tutto on our list soon!

I'm sure it's been fun, but I bet you are ready for Santa to get the elves back home so that you know there won't be any mischief going on in your house while you sleep.

Good luck on keeping it all a secret.

We'll be there from the 1st to the 12th. My church camp starts the 18th, so as I cook meals and wash dishes, I'll be thinking of you guys having a great... no, make that grand, time!

Very cool picture. So much detail.

I'm looking forward to the pre-trip report. Do you feel safe writing about it? Chelsea never reads this?

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

How are you ever going to keep the secret that long??? I could never do it!!!

Beautiful pictures of Italy!

OMG CP...I can only imagine Chelsea's reaction when she gets her birthday present!!!!!! I'm all giddy just thinking about it. SO exciting :jumping1:

OMG! How exciting about your next trip! I can't wait. And I'm dying to hear the PTR name Charles came up with!

I can't wait, either. Too bad it is still almost seven months away. As soon as this trip report is finished (just one more update), the PTR will be unveiled.

Loved hearing about your last night in Epcot. We probably all know all too well those last bittersweet moments when you're trying to soak it all in and remember every last detail. Sounds like you guys did it perfectly!!

It was a lovely stroll out of Epcot.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas, Christine!!! :santa:

Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Thank you!!! Yes, it will be very hard for me to keep the GF portion a secret -- we are going to tell the kids we are headed to Disney -- we'll just tell them we are staying at a moderate.

The elves have been keeping busy -- tonight Santa takes them home. :thumbsup2

I can't believe you will be able to keep it quiet until July! Wow. I'm in awe.:worship: It'll be fun to read about in the meantime. :thumbsup2

This is the first time I have ever tried to keep something about the trip a secret. We'll see how I do.

Yea!!! The Grand Floridian!! We LOVED it there. She will be over the moon. GREAT update. Your pics of Italy are so beautiful. I need to try one of these drinks you keep drinking! They look delish. Congrats on booking your next trip:goodvibes

I can't wait! Chelsea wants to stay there so badly, and truth be told, so do I! Charles is excited to stay there, but Connor will probably be "meh" about it until he realizes it's a monorail resort.

You had me at a "leisurely" stroll. I love that. Just meandering your way through Epcot. What a beautiful moon! And some nice libations to soften the blow. :thumbsup2

Our Dragonberries did ease the pain of leaving. :lmao:

Congrats on booking the GF! I'm so living vicariously through you on this one.:thumbsup2

As you know, I am thrilled about it. Even though it is a shorter trip than I would like, I plan on cramming as much fun as possible into those six days! There will be no grass growing under my feet. :thumbsup2

Eating at Boma will be a treat, that's for sure. I really think even Jill could find something to enjoy there. The meats can be eaten without sauces, and of course, there are lots of yummy desserts!

You know I am crazy for palm trees, too. Since we're driving this time, I will be on the lookout for the first one of the trip, and it will be a happy moment. :)

Are you coming down 75 for the most part? I will be thinking of you while you are headed down there!

It's good that Charles is excited about the trip.

I think he likes the idea of surprising Chelsea with her dream resort -- she definitely has her daddy wrapped around her finger.

We have to get Tutto on our list soon!

::yes::

I'm sure it's been fun, but I bet you are ready for Santa to get the elves back home so that you know there won't be any mischief going on in your house while you sleep.

It's time for Mrs. Clause to take back over!

Good luck on keeping it all a secret.

We'll be there from the 1st to the 12th. My church camp starts the 18th, so as I cook meals and wash dishes, I'll be thinking of you guys having a great... no, make that grand, time!

I need all the luck I can get in trying to keep it a secret. I am not the best secret keeper when it is one of my secrets!

I'm looking forward to the pre-trip report. Do you feel safe writing about it? Chelsea never reads this?

Chelsea almost never reads the DIS over my shoulder, but Connor likes to read with me and look at pictures. It should be interesting to try and keep everything hush hush.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Merry Christmas, MeMom!!! :santa:

How are you ever going to keep the secret that long??? I could never do it!!!

Beautiful pictures of Italy!

I am not sure -- I have never really tried to keep anything this big a secret. I am hoping that as long as I can talk about the trip in general, I can keep the resort surprise secret. Fingers crossed!

OMG CP...I can only imagine Chelsea's reaction when she gets her birthday present!!!!!! I'm all giddy just thinking about it. SO exciting :jumping1:

Thank you, Katie! Imagining Chelsea's reaction is one of the things helping to keep my mouth shut.

I love that you spent your last $ on Dragonberry Coladas...:lmao: (it's a little like a kid using their last change on candy...)

What is a tres leches cake? We like Mexican during the holidays...the flavors are nice change from all the more mild traditional Christmas cooking...:thumbsup2

I fell behind and found out that not only did you book the trip, but you revealed where you are staying. I am so excited for you! That's going to be such a great surprise! I am already so excited for the pictures. :rotfl2:

Merry Christmas to you guys! :santa:

Oh yeah!! I am SO EXCITED for Chelsea (and you guys too! :goodvibes)

That will be an awesome vacation - can't wait to read all about your plans!

If I don't "talk" to you in the meantime, have a very Merry Christmas!

Enjoyed the stroll through Italy....and a yummy drink.

I'm so excited for Chelsea (and you too)! What a wonderful birthday treat! :yay:

I am so excited about your Grand Floridian Trip!:banana::banana:

Chelsea is going to be so excited. :dance3:

Merry Christmas!!! :santa:

I love your "details" pictures in Italy! The fountain looks very similar to the fountain in front of the Library of Congress.

Picture102.jpg

OK...maybe not as similar as I thought but it's close!

So excited about the GF! Who wants to start a pool on how long it will be before she tells the secret or let's it slip? LOL

:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

So excited for the GF!! Chelesa is going to be super excited! 7 months is a long time....I don't know if I could do it. I get so excited about the planning and sharing it would just flow right out of my mouth!
There is a Basin in the GF isn't there????

I lost count how many Dragonberry's you had! :rotfl:

A very Merry Christmas to your family :goodvibes

Tracy:santa:

Merry Christmas Jackie, Charles, Chelsea, and Connor! Hope you all had a great day.
I bet the elves are back up in the North Pole relaxing after their fun adventures at your house.

Hi Jackie! Merry Christmas!! :santa:

I'm all caught up again - sounds like you & Charles had a lovely evening in Italy. :cloud9:

Congratulations on your next trip! That will be an amazing birthday present for Chelsea! We told the boys about our April trip today - they were luke warm about it - I'm sure Chelsea will be a bit more excited! ;)
