as far as the kids...that "thing" that both of them had is definitely a hanger on...they both are still not 100%...it took David about a week to show decent energy...(you know-that little boy bed bouncing energy...) Em is still a lit eh...but they are both moving in the right direction...but don't be surprised is Chelsea isn't quite herself yet...:sad2:

Hey......we both have October Anniversaries...great minds...;)

Hi Jackie,
Sorry I have been MLIA for a while.
Love the updates. Yum. Yes, Just yum is all I have to say.:lmao:
Poor Chelsea, I hope she is feeling better. Too bad nobody got to see how cute she looked in her costume. Emily is sick too. It seems like all the DIS kids are.

That Dragon Berry drink looked interesting, so I googled it - I found these recipes:

http://intoxicologist.net/2009/05/bacardi-introduces-dragon-berry-flavored-rum/

Yummy! I will have to remember those!!!

It's pretty good stuff. :thumbsup2

Trent would order the salmon, too.

I love salmon!!! :lovestruc

I bet she was ready for bed by the end of the day.

Chelsea has been sleeping a lot, but I think she is finally feeling more like herself.

Is Connor sharing his candy haul with her, or is she just not interested anyway since she doesn't feel so good?

Looking forward to more reports and pictures on yummies yet to come! :)

She hasn't been very interested in food of any sort -- she ate a lot of popsicles this week, but is slowly getting her appetite back.

I didn't realize it was your birthday until I got over on FB.

Happy Birthday! Hope it's a good one. party: :bday:

I would say great, but I imagine you have to work, so I'll stick with good. :)

It was a good birthday except for having to work on it.

:banana::banana: Happy Birthday Jackie!!! :banana::banana:

Hope you have a magical day!

Hope Chelsea's feeling better too. I've been sick since Saturday too, and can commiserate.

Thank you! Chelsea is finally starting to get some of her normal energy back.

Happy Birthday! :yay:

Thank you! Luckily, Chelsea had a Halloween party the weekend before, so she did get to wear her costume for that. I hope Emily is feeling better!

It was -- thank you! :goodvibes

I just wanted to share with you my great birthday present from my mom. My mom has been a doll collector all of her life, so every year she tends to give Chelsea and me dolls for our birthdays.

This year she completely surprised me with my gift. She gave me a 1959 Walt Disney Sleeping Beauty by Madame Alexander. They were originally sold in shops at Disneyland and later in shops around the country. Mint in the box originals run about $250, but my mom found one on ebay that needed a lot of work for $25. (I knew my mom was pleased with her find because she couldn't resist telling me this.)

Aurora arrived with her hair in disarray and mud splatters all over her dress -- which was the only thing she came with -- she was missing her petticoat, shoes, cape, and tiara. For the next few months, my mom worked on fixing her hair, dress, and body. She recreated her cape as closely as possible to the original and found a petticoat and shoes on ebay. (I keep thinking of the scene in Toy Story 2 when Woody is restored to near perfection.) Mom even bought her tiaras!

I can't tell you how surprised and excited I was to open my present on Thursday night and see Aurora! I was as giddy as a kid!!!

Isn't she just beautiful? Not a mud splatter anywhere on her or her dress!

And here are Sleeping Beauty's tiaras!

My mom cracks me up because I said last night, "I think I need to get a Maleficent to go with Sleeping Beauty." Her response? "You do not want that bad woman in your house!" :rotfl:

Okay, off to eat a piece of Tinker Bell birthday cake for breakfast! ;)

How cool!!!! Your Mom did a great job of fixing her up!

Hat's off to your mom on that find and the restoration work she did! The cape is perfect and oh those tiaras! How cool is that ? :goodvibes I think your Aurora is divine! There is nothing better than vintage Disney!
I loved you mom's comment about not wanting that bad woman in your house!

As a huge lover of all things Sleeping Beauty...what an amazing present!!! That doll is simply beautiful. WTG your Mom on such a great gift and for taking the time to repair it!!! WOWZER!!!!!

Glad you had such a great bday...enjoy that cake for breakfast!

I thought so, too! I was in amazement when my mom described the condition Sleeping Beauty was in when she received her because you would never know it to look at her now.

I burst out laughing, too, when she said that about Maleficent!

I :lovestruc vintage Disney! I also have very fond memories of Sleeping Beauty -- my mom gave me a 14-inch Sleeping Beauty in a gold dress when I was about four, and my dad took me to see a re-release of the film in theaters when I was little.

That comment about Maleficent had me rolling!

Awwww! What a beautiful Birthday present. Your mom sounds like a great lady! :goodvibes

My mom is the best! She loves Disney "almost" as much as I do, and I love listening to her stories about going to Disneyland when she and the park were much younger, and watching the Disneyland show on television.

I am just so tickled to have her -- I love that she was sold in Disneyland shops and has the blue dress instead of the pink one.

The cake was another of my mom's gifts -- she even "pixie dusted" it!

I'm so glad that there are others like us that choose to never really grow up. :) How very sweet of your mom to do that for you. I know it will be a treasured item for all of your life.

Did I miss seeing the Tinkerbell cake? :tink:
I get busy sometimes and just check in quickly, but let me know if you showed it.

WOW Jackie, what a SPECIAL birthday present and she looks BEAUTIFUL!!!! Happy Belated Birthday to you! Enjoy your Tink cake!:goodvibes
