shady spot for MK parade?

Hi,

The last time we visited the MK was in May of 99. We had what we thought was the "perfect" spot to see the parade (and it was great!The parade stopped right in front of us and we got to be part of the show)but after waiting for 45 minutes for it to start by the time it reached us we were literally melting from the hot sun. Are there any good viewing spots that are in the shade?
We will be back at the MK in mid June and I'm sure if we thought May was hot June will be worse!

We were there on a really sunny day in February. We sat in front of Casey's Hot Dog place. However, the sun was in a different position then it would be in the summer. It was nice because the sun hit the building, and the building created plenty of shade. Also, the parade stopped in front of us and ds got pulled into it.

I usually try to get a spot right on Main St.

We also have found that the WDW Train Station,the one on Main St gives you a shaded birds eye view.

But, you won't be in the action and will have to get there early to get a position.

We sat right under the awning in front of the hat shop in Frontier land. Was a great spot for shade.
