Shady Seating at Aquatica?

Can someone tell me where to find a shady seating spot at Aquatica? Ideally we're looking for a spot where part of our group can be in the shade and part in the sun. We prefer a more private, quiet location.

Also, any advice on what time to arrive to get this seating?

I really didn't see too much shade in the park which is why we opted for a cabana. I'd probably check out the area behind Tassie's Twisters...it's fairly private since it is a dead end. The only reason I walked back there was because I was looking for the entrance to Tassie's Twisters (I quickly realized I was in the wrong place!)

I also believe there are a few large umbreallas there. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of large trees in the park so shade is hard to come by!

I'd get to the park as early as possible.

Short of a cabana (which is expensive), your best best for shade is an umbrella and that means getting to the park early and grabbing the right location!

Definitely get there early. If you're not there at park opening, all the good seating is already taken (found this out the hard way already!)

My favorite place has so far been near Waterstone Grill. Facing the wave pool, all the way back by the palm tree line... within line of sight of the Grill. Not exactly private (there's not going to /be/ anything private unless you opt for the overpriced cabanas), but definitely shady. My only point of irritation was that one of the speakers was hidden in the palms behind me, so all day I had to listen to that Aussie voice yelling "Kia ora!"

I also found a nice spot in the middle of Roa's Rapids. It's a long walk and requires a jaunt across a bridge, but at the very end of the 'island' in the middle of the rapids, there was a (relatively speaking) secluded area with an umbrella, a little shade, and a bunch of chairs. It's quite a hike from everything other than the Rapids, though.
