Does anyone know how many room reservations you can make. My brother is US Air Force, my husband is a DOD employee. But we will need 5 rooms for my parents anniversary. Or does everyone in each room have to be military? Any help or information on Shades of Green will be helpful. We usually camp but we are all trying to stay together.

Check out www.shadesofgreen.org. It should be able to answer most of your questions. If I remember correctly, each eligible member can reserve up to 3 rooms, and the eligible member must be present a check-in, but does not have to be in the room.

I just spoke to SOG yesterday about this same subject. We are going in June with my husbands entire family and need 5 rooms.

I was told that each ID card holder over the age of 18 can reserve 3 rooms. Which means, my husband can reserve 3 and I can reserve 3.

So if your brother has a spouse they can each reserve 3 rooms or your husband can get 3 and your brother can get 3. (Remember, your room rate is based on rank and DOD employees rate is higher) Once you check in, all non ID carrying people will be issued a SOG ID for the length of stay which will allow them access pass the guard at the entrance and to purchase tickets and things at the store without the Military member needing to be present.

We haven't decided for sure on SOG. We usually stay at one of the Disney resorts and really like how effecient the transportation is. (Last stayed at SOG 1995) Haven't heard the best things about SOG transportation since they reopened and are waiting and hoping that things will improve.

We just returned and I never had to show ID to shop or ride the bus. My daughter also shopped int eh shop and she doesnt have an ID card and never was asked. I guess it depends on who is working? The bus never asked for an ID either. I forgot to gtab the little bus pass when I took my 2 1/2 year old Grandaughter on the bus to watch the fireworks and they didnt ask either way. Every other time my husband had the id they gave us in our pocket but not once had to show it.
