Shades of Green; Which Area do you prefer?

We are staying at SoG at the end of the month. I haven't been since the addition. Which area do you prefer and can it be requested either on check in or prior to arrival. I would hate to request the new section when the old section has all been refurbished in the last few years and might be better.

Hi Dawn,
It's really a matter of preference. The New section is very nicely done and parts of it are very close to the lobby and therefore the bustops. Parts of it are also very far away, those are some of the longest hallways I've ever seen!

The old section is closer to the restaurants and pools but further from the bustops and lobby.

We really enjoyed the new section but we were the first room off the elevator. I think I would not have liked it as much if we were WAY down the hallway. The older section near the pools is nice but is loud almost all the time. In the new section even though everyone walked right past our rooms from the elevator we almost NEVER heard noise unless people were yelling or screaming which was rare.

If you're going to spend a lot of time at the pool/playground, choose the old section, if not, go for the new section, it's so lovely!

Well, we probably won't be spending much time by the pool so the new section sounds good. Sounds like you got the best of both worlds.
