I booked a standard room at Shades of Green for my husband, myself and my three kids...my stepdaughter came over the other day and has now decided she can and does want to go...we will have plenty of room in the standard as the two youngest are happy to sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag or with my stepdaughter etc but will it be an issue with the hotel? Shades of Green is completely sold out so I can’t switch rooms...
We have never stayed there before so I don’t know what to expect...
What about with tickets? We can purchase the extra military ticket because it still keeps us at 6 but since she isn’t on the reservation we won’t be able to do the fast passes early right?

She won’t be able to ride the shades bus to and from the parks if she’s not on your reservation. That’s the big issue on my opinion. Keep calling to try to reserve another room. People cancel all the time.

This is from the SOG website:
RESERVATION INFORMATION
Prices are based on rank and category, and include two adults per room. You will be charged an additional $15 for each additional adult. Up to five adults (total) can stay in each room. Children under 18 are free with existing bedding. Rollaway beds or cots are not allowed, but cribs are available at no additional cost. Adjoining/connecting rooms may be requested, but cannot be guaranteed until check-in.

When are you going? There is a 30 day cancellation fee so lots of room seem to open up 30 days before as people cancel. There room inventory changes all the time.
I’m not sure about the tickets. You can definitely purchase them but might have to call advanced ticket sales to see if she could do the fastpasses. She could definitely do it 30 days before.

From the Shades of Green Website:
Standard Room
  • From $124
  • Sleeps up to 5
  • Two queen beds
  • Single sleeper sofa

If your original group was two plus three kids and you are adding another, that makes six. You have one too many.

I think would also cause problems if you want to eat at the resort. I seem to remember we had to show a card or something for both the bus and eating and said how many were in the room.
