Does anyone know how far it is from SFB to WDW?

Checking on flight into Sanford on Vacation Express and was just wondering how far away the airport is to WDW.

Also does anyone know what rental car companies are at SFB.

Thanks

We're flying into Sanford for the first time as well in June and were told to add @45 minutes to the drive time. If you look on the Florida map, it doesn't seem far from Orlando Internation, but I suppose they figure traffic time in that number.
Get onto the Sanford website and you can get links to all the ground transport options. We are using Happy Limo--I'm treating the family to a stretch limo both ways! (sorry I don't have the link, but it's at home in a file. search this board and you'll find other recent threads with the link to Sanford).

WDW on JUNE 24::yes:: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Sanford is an additional drive time of 30-45 minutes to WDW depending upon traffic. You might also want to check into the availability of transportation (rental cars, town cars, etc.) to WDW. Mears, for example, does not service Sanford.

Well 30-45 minutes is not all that bad. Considering if I fly in to sanford I will save about $200.00 rather than flying into MCO.

What it sounds like by reading the boards is that sanford is a small airport and easy to navigate. So that will be a plus with a 4DD.

Thanks for all the input.

If you have someone picking you up or you are getting a rental car, you will save more. If you are paying for a town car service, it's about double what it is from MCO. Still saving a bit considering the average is 80 round trip and it would be 160.00. Then it does add to the wait time as well. Just FYI. :D

We're flying into SFB in August and were looking into the car services but they were so expensive we decided to see if renting a van would be better (there's 11 of us) and sure enough its cheaper for us to get the van and we can even keep it for a few days and still not cost as much as the car service. We are using a car service, Murray Hill, to go back to the airport though since we are giving the van back after we switch hotels, from RPR to ASMu. I did a search on rental cars from SFB and the only options we had (we're flying in on a Sunday) were Dollar and Budget. They have a National but its not open on Sundays! Have a great trip.
