We met a few characters, watched the parade and stage show in front of the castle:

The girls enjoyed their last Mickey Bar of the trip:

This whole trip, I was on a mission to get our family picture for Christmas. Finally, on our last day in the park, we happened on a PP photographer, who spent about a half hour with my family, doing all sorts of poses. IT was super nice of her - and she was able to get the best picture of our entire trip:

And a fun one of the girls too:

And that's it. We left the following day for home... with a nice 4 hour layover at the ATL airport. :rolleyes1

D~ what a great trip you had! love all the photos, thanks for sharing!

your Donald hat is so cute! can't wait to experience MNSSHP!

AWESOME!!!

Okay - do tell - what are the messenger bags? Are they DISNEY messenger bags? How big? Phalen is asking :-)

Thanks Chiara and Lisa. :0) I spent way too much time uploading these pictures this morning, :surfweb:

Marianne... The messenger bags I purchased for our trip were from The Disney Store - I ordered them online with free embroidering. Unfortunately, the quality was HORRIBLE, and they were falling apart by the end of the trip. Which was too bad, because the girls had tons of autographs on them - now they are relegated to hanging on the back of their bedroom doors.

This is probably the best picture I have uploaded - V is carrying hers.

Now, for this trip... It's a huge surprise, but I plan to MAKE the girls messenger bags to carry in the parks. The ones they carried last time were the perfect size for them - and they always carried them empty - unless they put their sweatshirt in it. I am super excited about this... if I can get all these outfits done in time - I want to give the messenger bags to them for Christmas.

Oh - I forgot to tell you all something...

DDs have requested customs for our trip! You heard me right, plural - both of them want customs!!! :woohoo:  :woohoo:  Of course - for oldest dd - she is VERY specific about what she wants... An Oliver + S Icecream Dress (which I am going to have to completely redraft in her size). But little dd kind of gave me free reign! :cloud9: So, trust me - I will have pleanty more to post about and pictures to post once I am done with the AG outfits! :wizard:

Secondly... Marianne knows this, but... Oldest dd got a part in the fall musical at school - (Judy, you're gonna love this) - Beauty & the Beast! No, she didn't get the starring roll (that went to the school singing prodigy), but she got the part of "silly girl" (how appropriate - you know, the girls who sing to Gaston at the beginning of the movie), and then she texted me at lunch, she also got cast for another part... Flatware. I am super excited for her. :wizard: She is just thrilled... she has a few speaking lines and lots of singing. :woohoo:

OK - that should be all the updates for today. Well, maybe not, I expect to post another outfit in a few hours. :lovestruc

Congrats to your DD on her parts in the school play.

I am off to take dd to dance and won't be back until after 8pm can't wait to see what you create.

Loved the mini-trip report from your last trip. It looked like lots of fun! Too bad that the messanger bags didn't last. It is a great idea to make them new ones. You are very lucky that your girls are interested in wearing customs! And to be give free reign over your younger DD's wardrobe is awesome!

How great that your DD got a role in the play! My friend's daughter was a silly girl when our middle school did the play 2 years ago. It was a very cute role! Your DD must be thrilled, especially since she got a second role too! Is this her first play?

This year my girls' school is going to do Aladdin. They are super excited about that! Are you going to get asked to help with costumes? I always get asked to help with that. Our school is always desperate for moms who can sew!:rotfl: Last year I suggested that they ask around at the senior apartments across from the school. They actually found a couple of grandmas who helped do a lot of the sewing.

Another super outfit! I don't know the fairies too well but this is really cute!

Forgot to grab a quote but Iredessa turned out really nice.

I love all your pics from your previous trip. I'm really surprised to see Josh having so much fun. The way you had described him in the past I had expected him to be more like my dh. Let's see, my dh refused to pose for any photopass photos -- I didn't even bother looking at the photopass pics of dd b/c that's all we really had on our photopass. Your dh actually seemed like he was enjoying himself.

Cheryl... I wasn't quite sure by the tone in your post, but it seems to me you were trying to get across that you'd like to go to WDW??

Congrats to your DD on her parts in the school play.

Thank you Chiara. :)

I am pretty excited about it. Realistically, I don't know how many customs I will get to do. I am for sure planning the messenger bags and an icecream dress for each of them, and maybe a cool t-shirt if I have the time.

That's good to know, I know she is really happy with her part. This is not her first play, but it is her first musical - I think she'll do really well because she loves to sing.

Aladdin sounds like a fun one! No, I haven't been asked about costumes - and I don't think A would volunteer me, so knows how busy I am at the moment. Excellent idea about going to the senior apartments!

You know, I really think he did enjoy himself, to a point. Honestly, the girls and I spent a lot of time on our own for that trip - Josh was off finding his penny press machines. Which was fine - if that's the part he enjoyed about the trip - then more power to him. His biggest issue is crowds - so being stuck in them constantly really wears on his nerves... He just has no desire to go back this time. Which is fine - I am really looking forward to spending some fun time with the girls. And I sure hope it's something they'll remember for the rest of their lives. :lovestruc

Question:

I am debating on preordering the Photopass CD. When we went in 2008, we had well over 1200 pictures after we edited - most of them were good. Every time we saw a PP photographer, we'd get in line. We'd always talk to them and engage them in conversation, which I think made them more interested in taking good pictures. This is something that the girls and I really enjoy doing, between doing that and pin trading - it really enhanced our overall experience at WDW. Since then, I have used our PP pictures countless times. So, I guess my real question isn't the CD - I think I am going to get that no matter what.

What about the memory book? Josh ordered one for me the last time we went - it wasn't prepurchased, so he paid the rack rate for it. It's a very nice book, and good quality. I enjoy looking at it - but I don't look at it nearly as often as I use my PP pictures.

So, do I spend the extra $50 and get the book? Or should I pass on the book?

D~ <----- who has to work a long shift today. :confused3 Oh, and I lost 1.2 lbs last week... For a grand total of -5.4. I am really starting to feel better.

Congrats on the weight loss.

I like getting the photopass CD. I have been doing shares lately so the cost is split up more and I don't feel as guilty if I don't get as many pictures as I normally would.

Forgot to congratulate your dd on her role in the musical ~ how awesome for her!

And big congrats on your weight loss!!!! I have lost 3 pounds as well. And I can't wait until I start feeling better and can start working out again. Dieting usually only gets me down about 5 pounds and the rest requires working out. I'm still doing my slimfast for breakfast and lunch and hating it. I eat fruit too, but fruit never fills me up. But the good news is I only made frozen pizzas for dinner last night (because I'm too sick to cook a real meal) and I was full after 1.5 pieces -- normally I eat at least two with a salad and garlic bread but last night all I did was the pizza and if I just make pizza alone I could normally eat three pieces, so I was really happy. You actually inspired me to start this with all your walking. I wanted to get back to walking when school started again but I was behind on my Big Gives so never did. Hopefully tomorrow I can start being your long distance walking buddy -- I think I'm on my way to recovery the past couple of days. I even took the dogs for walks, but I can't count walking two little Shih Tzus as exercise -- my boy will walk fast but my girl has short stubby legs and can barely make it around the block (which is actually an oval, not a block).

:woohoo: on the weight lose :woohoo:

I've never ordered the book since I scrapbook all my own photos! still debating on getting the CD this trip...since we get 40% off the MNSSHP photos that night, not sure how many other PP pics we will get in the other parks, still hoping I'll get a pin discount for the CD before we leave in 14 days :yay:

Hello! Looking through your outfits and you are so talented! I was wondering where you sell your outfits...I've been looking to see if maybe you've posted it somewhere...and maybe I just missed it? :confused3 if so I'm sorry!

Love your ptr! Cant wait to see more outfits! :goodvibes

Thanks. :) I've thought about doing a share, but I am such a huge procrastinator, I don't think I'd get all my editing done in time. :surfweb:

I am not planning on walking today - I was on my feet all day at work - and despite my new shoes being more comfortable then my old ones, my feet are a bit tired and sore. I did work out this morning though, and I ate pretty good all day... except about 10 minutes ago, DH is sitting at the table eating chips with jalepeno dip... Yah - I had about 10 of those. Baked chicken breasts with wild rice for dinner tonight, and steamed broccoli - so not too bad.

:woohoo: on the weight lose :woohoo:

Thanks! :)

I am really not a scrapbooker... I used to be at one point - I used to be a Creative Memories Consultant (once upon an eon), but I couldn't stand the mess. Not that I am obsessively clean - but I am a perfectionist (surprise) and I would sit there and measure everything out - it just got to be that it wasn't fun any more. So I truly admire those that can scrapbook. I am more of a digital scrapbooker, I really don't even print off pictures that often (however I am throwing around the idea of making a small scrapbook of the AG outfits I've made, since people always want to see them, but I never have any pictures with me) - which is funny because I work at a photolab. :confused3

Are there really pin discounts on the CDs out there??? I wonder if Disney will send me one???? Doubtful. LOL Although I do have a room pin sittnig right here on my desk - but FD just seemed so much easier for me to do.

Welcome! :lovestruc Thank you so much!!! I've been working very hard at making all of them, I really hope to be finished up by Christmas, maybe even sooner, so I can make a few fun things for my girls for our trip.

I was able to get a good start on outfit #3 of this release this morning before work and last night before bed. I plan on doing a total of 5 for this series.

I've been looking into doing appliques for the Fairies, and I can't find anything that really catches my eye - so, at this point, I am not sure that I will be doing a set with appliques. :confused3 This is not written in stone, however, because if I do happen upon something I like (and I am still searching) - I will do them.

I am also very happy that I found fabric to complete my last 2 fairy outfits, I was worried that I wouldn't find what I wanted - and I did. You know me, I hate to do anything half way, so it would have driven me nuts to only do 3 of the fairies. So, the last 2 might take a bit longer, since it just shipped today... so I have to wait for it to get here, then I have to wash and dry it, then I have to create it. :rolleyes1

D~ <---off to go check on dinner.

Yes, my post was rather vague.

I think it might be more direct if I learn how to hack (don't know if I should Google that or youtube it) into your CD and photoshop myself into all of your pictures. I think that would help us both remember that
