~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

As always i applaud you and your hard work you look great!!!

Hummm Maybe it's better to let them go and run around Disney? you guys just do as you do!!! this way you have your Disney time and they will have theirs. at the end of the day you can swap stories and enjoy each others company!!! :thumbsup2

3 months!!! until your THERE!

and

26 days until we meet again!!! :cool1: :cheer2:

You look amazing! So proud of you. And inspired to do better than I have been doing.

You may want to look at the OnTheFly App - it compares all flights in one place so you can check airfare quickly. I know your dates aren't flexible on this trip, but it has that option too, so you can see if it's cheaper to fly out a day earlier or later when you have that flexibility. I use it to price all our flights to Vegas and I check it quite a bit when we are in the planning phase.

Still swamped at work but I stayed until 6:30 again last night and worked from home for 2 hours last night. I'm almost at the point that there's not much else I can do, if stuff doesn't get done today, I'll feel like I did my best to get it done.

Hope you have a great day! Looking forward to being able to stay caught up and interactive more next week!

Wow! You look amazing! Are you sure that is only from one months difference? I see a lot of change.

D, you are doing a fabulous job with your weight loss! I wish you continued success with it.

I'm glad you got your latest custom order done.

I hope you and your BFF are able to work out your park days.

Have a great weekend.

Hi D!

You are rockin' that healthy bod of yours!!! :cool1: You go girl!!! :thumbsup2

You mentioned how you noticed the change in the arm that was holding the camera but did you catch that awesome bicep in your first comparison picture? Health AND strong!!!

Love hearing how your Disney plans are shaping up. We're a full year away from our trip so I love hearing others plans. Sounds like being honest with your BFF about your different touring styles. You are smart to take it slow in that crazy Aug heat!

Have a great weekend!

Liz (lucky #18)

Your progress is AWESOME! You have clearly lost some inches and everything is getting more firm looking! Keep it up!!!

Thanks Mo!

I know it's better to let them run around Disney... but I know it won't happen. We are all for it - but BFF prefers to have us by her side. :crowded: We will see... I've told her many times, that we will probably end up breaking up... and at this point - I am totally comfortable with the girls branching off on their own for a little while... They've been to Disney enough - they know their way around and what they like to do. ::yes::

You look amazing. Your hard work is totally paying off.

Thank you so much! I wish I could say that all of my work has been hard, but it's really been quite easy. :thumbsup2 I am at the point where, if I don't love it, I don't do it... So, I've made it my mission to do what I love - that way I am able to do it forever. ::yes:: That has been the hardest part - breaking away from what Conventional Wisdom believes and sticking with my gut in doing what I believe.

You look amazing! So proud of you. And inspired to do better than I have been doing.

Thanks so much Jennifer! :thumbsup2 I still have so much I want to achieve, I will get there eventually - or I may not get there at all... but I plan to keep trying.

Thanks for this... I have a similar app - called Kayak... I really like it and it makes it super easy to check flights.

Hopefully you are making some progress and you are able to get back to spending less time working and more time playing. :thumbsup2

Hope you have a great day! Looking forward to being able to stay caught up and interactive more next week!

Thank you - you too! No worries here, I know that everyone has a life. :lovestruc Check in when you can - even if it's only to say "hi".

Wow! You look amazing! Are you sure that is only from one months difference? I see a lot of change.

Thank you! Actually, it's 11 months of progress... The end of May last year, to the beginning of May this year... I know, it's a bit confusing. I should have waited until the 1 year mark to post the pictures. But thank you... I think for an 11 month progress, it's not very dramatic, but I've been persistant, and I guess that's what counts? Hopefully, by this time next year, I will be much closer to my size goal. :thumbsup2

You look absolutely amazing! Congratulations on your success!

THanks! It's been an interesting journey, for sure. And definately not a straight path... but I've learned so much and I really enjoy where this journey has taken me... I think that's really important. :thumbsup2

D, you are doing a fabulous job with your weight loss! I wish you continued success with it.

Thank you Kathy! :lovestruc

I know - it's such a relief to be making progress in my sewing room too.

I sure hope so.... I think we will... I think if we have any issues at all - it will be once we get there... I know she will want to be by my side most/all of the time... and I know the girls and I will want to break away occasionally... So if there is any friction - it will be then. Sigh.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, as well. :lovestruc

Thanks Liz... No - I didn't see that bicep... Well, I did - but I just thought it was the illusion created by the break in our mirror? Maybe it isn't... I would be thrilled if I had REAL biceps! :woohoo: But in analyzing that, I noticed the difference in my shoulder/arm pit of that same arm... There is a definite change there too. ::yes:: So, thank you for pointing that out - I sometimes miss the obvious.

Yes, that August heat is insane... There is just no way to prep your body for that. Well, I guess we could just drive around all summer in my dark car with the air off... That might come close? :rotfl2: We are really looking forward to the water parks again though - they are awesome! And a great way to "enjoy" the heat (if there is such a thing...). LOL

I hope you have a great weekend too!

Your progress is AWESOME! You have clearly lost some inches and everything is getting more firm looking! Keep it up!!!

Hi Terri! It's great to have you back... I missed you! I posted in your thread this morning. Thanks so much... I wish I was getting firm... I am pretty sure I am getting more saggy. LOL But - meh - I have to remember that saggy skin is part of life, and because I abused my body for so long, I am bound to have scars. As long as I am healthy and I feel good - the rest can be covered with spanx. :rotfl2:

**********************************************************

So, yesterday... I was able to cut out and quilt auction bag #5 and little bag #4... I have not decided if I want to do a coordinating wallet with this one? I have only done one wallet so far, and I really would like to have a few more... We'll see.

I had to run a few errands in town, and I picked the girls up from school... Came home, made dinner, then Alli and I went back to town - she had a musical she needed to see for extra credit for one of her classes. It was a good musical... but both of us agreed, we only caught half of it, because the words they were singing were very hard to understand. :scratchin

Today... It's SUNNY!!!!!!!!! So, guess what that means???? Yup - the front porch will get cleaned off at some point today. :woohoo: Can't wait for that!

I also plan to be in my sewing room for a few hours this morning... I want to get that next auction bag appliqued, and with any luck - maybe I can start assembly. I would be thrilled if I could have this set done by the end of the weekend. That would mean I've hit the half-way mark. If only I had one more week off between now and June, but I don't... So it means continued double-overtime in my sewing room for the next 3-4 weeks. :crazy2

That's all I have for you all today... I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Sending out good thoughts and prayers to all of you! :grouphug:

If you drove through a car wash with opened windows once a day, that might help with the downpour side of things too.

Lol! I know what you mean about the saggy! But your arms def look more firm to me!! And spanx are a godsend! ::yes::

You are such an inspiration! Talented AND bicep-y?!? Whew!!!

Hi Rebeccah - it's great to have you here! Thanks! ROFL... I've never been described as "bicep-y" before... I kind of like it. :cool1:

I see that you were able to get your siggy figured out... I will head over there after I finish here.

If you drove through a car wash with opened windows once a day, that might help with the downpour side of things too.

Hahaha... AND then close them right after so it traps all of the humidity... :beach: Yup... That's Florida in August folks. ::yes::

Lol! I know what you mean about the saggy! But your arms def look more firm to me!! And spanx are a godsend!

Thanks! I am hoping they firm up more and more muscle starts showing through soon... I've been working hard at it, for sure. The hardest part for me, is all of the layers of fat over my muscles - especially on my thighs/quads... I used to be very muscular there, and I am again, but rather than all the fat being UNDER the muscle, it's now on top. :scared: Which makes my legs in shorts look a bit scary. :rolleyes1 Oh well...

**********************************************************

So, I finished my 5th auction bag yesterday... I will tell you all that it's PINK. I really debated on doing pink, because pink is such a love it/hate it color... but it just seemed to fit this bag so well. In the end, I always tell myself - if it doesn't sell, I will carry it myself. And to be honest - I would not have a problem carrying this bag, so I kind of hope I can keep it. :rolleyes1

In between working on the auction bag yesterday, I took an hour + to help Josh and Alli clean the yard/front porch... Alli and I also cleaned off the back deck and now have everything in it's "summer" location. It's always so nice to have that done, we spend a LOT of time out there in the summer - it's really an extention of our house - so it's awesome to have it useful again. :thumbsup2 And the front porch looks great, everything is put away. MM's kennel is still out there for the rest of this week, as Josh has to haul something in his truck bed... but then MM's kennel will go back in there. Phew... It just feels good to have it all done. Now, for the inside of the house... Sigh.

Then last night, Josh took Alli out in the Jeep to teach her how to drive a manual transmission... They were gone for several hours. But they came home in a good mood (although, Josh is a bit skeptical about the future of his transmission...).

If you are wondering whey there is no mention of V... Well, she spent the whole day on the couch... I landed in urgent care with her yesterday morning... He throat looked awful. Rapid strep came back negative though... So, she spent the day resting.

Today, Alli and I are meeting Gus for church. This should be interesting. popcorn:: Afterwards, we are going with him and his Grandmother out to lunch. Then I have to drop Alli off at a school friend's house, as they have a HUGE project to work on today.

Then I will come home and work on my little bag for a little while. And I will also do the zipper pull for last weeks' custom order.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday... Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all. :grouphug:

WOW!!! sounds like a very productive day!!! :yay: I am putting in some overtime to help pay this trip off. so far it is going well. I had 88 hours on my last pay period and that is with taking a day and a half off to go babysit for my best friend in VA, so I can't wait to see this check!!! I usually give all of my call away so it is odd to be working so much, but everytime I get called in I just think "Disney money... :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: It has cut into my dis time though :rolleyes1

I hope your day with Alli and Gus and his grandmother went well.

Can't wait to see your auction bags! Not sure I'm going to have money to spend, but I'm trying to save up. Depends on how much I spend in Chicago! LOL

I remember learning to drive a manual transmission - it took me quite a while to have enough confidence to drive around Baltimore with all its hills, but it was well worth it to learn. The 3 oldest kids all know how to drive a manual. Shannon just never got the hang of it though.

I spent today embroidering tshirts for my great nephew's birthday. He will be 2 on Saturday and just loves Jake the pirate so I made one shirt with Jake and one with Donald.

I'm doing better, but still not completely healed. The doctor said that was normal when I saw him on Friday. He felt that I was doing well enough that he cancelled my next appointment. I don't have to go back until August.

That is some fantastic AWESOME overtime!!!! You will have your trip paid off in NO TIME!!! WTG!!! I totally understand the "cutting into your Dis time" dillema - I am in the same spot as you... but I do love it!

I hope your day with Alli and Gus and his grandmother went well.

It went very well! I was a bit surprised, as I had a bunch of anxiety about it... but it as a lot of fun. We enjoyed meeting his Grandmother, a few of her friends and his uncle. It was very nice for us to meet some of the people who are important to him, because so far, Allison and him have only been able to see eachother at our house (our rule).

Hahaha... Well, I can always clear my throat and remind you every time you intend to buy something in Chicago. ::yes::

Me too... I have had several cars with manual transmissions, but to be quite honest - I have not driven one in well over 15 years... So I would be a bit rusty. I've been begging Josh to take me in the Jeep for a refresher course, but he has yet to. :confused3

Awww... I bet they will are adorable!!! I hope you'll post pictures of them!

I feel so badly for you... It seems like it is taking you so long to heal. However, I guess if it's normal and he's cancelled your next appointment - it must be getting better. I hope you are feeling back to normal soon Tess.

So, Allison and I met Gus and his Grandmother, Uncle and some of their friends for church yesterday morning. I will admit - I was having a lot of anxiety about this... Which had nothing to do with going to church... I just have anxiety issues over certain crowd scenerios - and this is one of them. I will say, that the anxiety was the worst part of it... We both enjoyed the service and enjoyed meeting everyone. It was a good thing for Alli to be able to meet some of his family - up until now, their entire relationship has been centered around our house - and I feel badly about that. But this was good.

Afterwards, we went out for lunch with Gus and his Grandmother. It was very nice, and we enjoyed ourselves.

Then, Gus took us down to where he works and showed us around. That was fun too. Like I said - up until now, Allison has not seen any of his life outside of our house. So, this was a good thing.

Alli and I came home... Josh made a nice ham on the smoker - it was wonderful.

Then Gus came over and hung out with Alli for a couple of hours. We won't be seeing him much over the next couple of weeks - he starts finals this week, and he's pretty swamped.

Today, I am starting on my next custom order. I am very excited about it - since it's for a good friend of mine. :lovestruc

This afternoon, I plan to finish up my most recent little bag - which was supposed to be done yesterday, but I ran out of time. :rolleyes1

If you've lost count... I have completed 5 UPBs for the auction and today will make 4 little bags. :lovestruc I am making slow progress - but I am still happy that I am making progress at all. It is my goal to have the remaining 5 UPBs done before I leave for Chicago in (ahem) 22 days! popcorn:: Considering I have several custom orders in there too... well - it's a pretty tall order, and I am not sure I will get it done or not? :confused3

I hope all of you had a nice weekend! Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all of you today! I hope it's beautiful where ever you are! :grouphug:

It's been a while since I have posted one of my calendar pages... I need to be better about that.

YAY!!! the Chicago epic CRAZINESS is right around the corner!! I am so excited!

i am really excited for the auction.. i have set aside some $$ for it!!! :thumbsup2

I know that more people read D's ptr than read mine, so I am posting this here.

Tomorrow (May 6) is surgery day for Kat. This is the surgery where they replace her colon - I'm not sure of the exact procedure, but this should be the final surgery for her. All good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated, greatly.

Thank you all so much, you guys are the best.
