Aulani June Bookings at 7Mo?

Looking for opinions-

We have a relatively fixed schedule in June 2026 for a week in Aulani, so I'm wondering if we will be able to get 5-6 days at 7 months or if I should rent points to book at 11mo since it's not our home resort?

Would be week preceding July 4, which is highest points level, I know the earlier parts of June which are lowest points levels book up before 7 months a bunch.

You will almost certainly need home resort priority for that many consecutive nights in June. I would rent or get a transfer.

June is the hardest month at Aulani. I’d rent them out if you are dead set on going. Once the points go up it does get markedly easier so you might be okay.. but being close to the 4th also makes it tricky.

About June 6 to July 6 is the second highest DVC demand time of the year at Aulani (Christmas week is first). Finding anything for multiple nights at 7-months out can be difficult, with ocean view having some chance if seeking something other than a studio.

seems to be the consensus.

DBIL and DSIL just said 26 or 27... they're not sure. up until this month it had been summer 26 for sure for Kauai.

OTOH we can just book 26 and do Just Aulani and then do Kauai if they do it in '27.

we have a known fixed start date (DS's scout camp) and a semiknown end date... with 3 different kids on 3 different school calendars we only have so many clearly open weeks a year.

Do I need to watch out for walkers in June? it seems like there is less demand if we're interested in the more expensive views.

No, need to worry booking at 11 month mark for anything but the hotel rooms. At least we never had a problem.

2 bedroom pool view actually can get booked up quickly in June - perhaps even walking. Ocean view you will definitely be fine at 11 months. 1 bedrooms aren’t quite as popular as the two bedrooms.

The 1 bd has 1 bathroom, but the 2bd has 3 bathrooms…. and it only costs 34% more points for a LOT more room.

You end up showering a lot in Hawaii because of the time in the pool/ocean.

As someone who owns 950 points at Aulani, I fully endorse this line of thinking. There is a lot of inventory…. so be aggressive!

We’ve gone the last 4 years…. we already had one multi-generational trip in a Grand Villa and will be going with a separate set of grandparents this June…some of the points are SAPs that I have used at Grand Cal or the Disneyland Hotel….

I’ve got a very busy Disney calendar over the next 11 months …

February- Disneyland day with my Mom
March - Walt Disney World for Spring Break at BWV and VGF
June- Aulani
August- San Diego and Disneyland at VGC
October- Disneyland Halloween at VGC
January- Disneyland Christmas at VDH

So….we might swap out a good amount of points for an Adventures by Disney to Europe in 2026 and go easy on the theme parks…. but we’ll see… we will have MKs until August 2026….

Being west coasters we go to Hawaii every 2-3 years. we usually spend 2 weeks in a condo in Kauai, but we have linked time at Aulani or on other islands to this in the past.
