I never made it out of the house yesterday except to run to staples for Ink and the store was empty.
I am debating taking the kids out to lunch today for Js Birthday but I have huge issues going out with just C and I and Sami and J it is rough if J decides to act up.
WE only buy for immediate family but my brother has 5 kids LOL. Actually my sister and I make a game of how cheap can we get it without looking cheap.
I hope your day went better yesterday. Were you able to go out for lunch? I've really been enjoying your Thanksgiving albums on Facebook.
I love the game you play with your sister - I think everyone should do that!
Most Walmarts are open on Thanksgiving unless it's in a state that has a law against stores being open on holidays. Those stores opened at midnight.
We had a turkey dinner with all the fixings. It was very good. Yesterday we had subs from a local sub shop. The dinner was from another local place. We got double time for Thanksgiving. Next week we get an extra 25% off an entire shopping order but it has to be at the store we work at. I don't work in a supercenter so we don't have a full grocery section.
I'm glad you enjoyed the madness yesterday. It sounds like you did a lot of running. I stayed mostly in elecronics/photo.
I hope your Christmas shoppong trip was successful.
Liz
That's interesting - something I didn't know. I am glad they feed you though and make it "worth your while". Bummer that you don't have a grocery section (I thought all Walmarts did?) - if it makes you feel any better, we have a very SMALL grocery section - our store would do so much better if we had a bigger one - that's for sure.
:We went to my best friends in Wooster for Thanksgiving. I brought the turkey, potatoes, and cranberrys. She did the side dishes and gravey. Normally I like to eat around noon so we can snck on left overs the rest of the day. But she wanted a dinner meal so that's what we did. My DH didn't care for that idea he likes to snack all day. But he got over it and Christmas this year is at his moms in Illinois so he can snack there. He is schedualed for back surgery on the 30th of dec so will be laid up for awhile. Hopefully he will be ready for WDW in oct. but I rented him an
ECV to be safe. So I guess I also got out of doing all the cooking this year, although I did help. It was snoing in Wooster but when we got home it was warm enough I didn't even need my coat....lol you wouldn't think an hour and a half would make that much difference. Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving! I am sure target will keep you busy as you get closer to Christmas.
It sounds like you had a marvelous Thanksgiving, despite the later meal.
I sure hope your DH's back surgery goes well. Josh's Dr. is looking at surgery as an option with his back too - which makes me so nervous.
It's been unseasonably warm here too... I went out shopping yesterday in a light fleece coat, and wound up shedding it half way through the day. It was the perfect shopping weather, IMO.
Just getting home from my trip and just wanted to thank you again for the awesome job you did on my bag!! It was definitely a hit for everyone. The CMs would ask me about it and I would tell them that "a friend made it for me". They all suggested that you set up an Etsy account and sell them.
I also was stopped a few times by other tourists who asked where they could get a bag like mine!! I gave them some helpful info so that they could find you. I think you should include about 5-10 business cards in every bag you ship out so that we can pass them out at the parks!
Thanks again!
Thank you Bridget - I am so glad you enjoyed your bag and you had a great trip! LOL about the Etsy account - I used to have one - technically, I still do - but I was just too busy to keep up with it.
I wish I could include business cards, I thought of doing it at one time, but someone told me that it would be considered "soliciting" on Disney property - which would cause the giver of the business cards to be escorted off... I would feel HORRIBLE if I wrecked someone's trip due to giving out my business cards. So, I've just decided that "word of mouth" will have to do.

But I soooo appreciate your willingness and wanting to do that for me and my business.
Soooo.... Are you going to do a TR? If you do, and I don't notice it - please let me know - I would love to follow along!

Do I dare tell you all about my shopping endeavors yesterday? It was pretty crazy!!!
My neighbor and I started at Target (surprised?)... I purchased way too many things for Thomas... Little Thomas will have way more items this year from us than our girls will...

I was also able to find 3 of the C9 shirts for myself (I know, bad me) from the Black Friday ad... I purchased them a size smaller, and they are different colors.
I also purchased Red Lobster GCs, so I could get my Target Discount on our lunch.
By the time we were done at Target - we were both ready for lunch - so we went straight to Red Lobster to eat. It was a great lunch - and something I always look forward to doing. We must have sat there and chatted for 2 hours.
From there - we went to the Lands End inlet/outlet... That is a store that I NEED to stay out of - seriously!!! Every year we go, and every year I am in there for hours.
I found a few nice gifts for Josh...
And I purchased a few things for myself... GAH!!!! I found a 700 fill down coat - after all of the discounts offered yesterday, I paid $53 for it! And I needed a down coat - I've been looking at purchasing one for a few years now - so excited that I finally have one! I also purchased 2 turtlenecks... I just love LE modal shirts - I wear them all winter long, they are very lightweight, but very warm.
From there - we went to Hallmark... I wasn't going to buy anything, but then I found the Tervis tumblers... So I grabbed a couple for stocking stuffers. I had a great coupon that worked on them.
We also went to Kohls... Where I was able to get gifts for my dad, brother and Josh.
We went to Justice for my neighbor... I did not purchase anything there.
We also went to Marshalls... I purchased a small holiday assortment of Jelly Bellies to send over to Brian and Myrthe.
And that concludes my Christmas shopping.
I still have 3 more gifts to get - which I need to get in a different town.
Then we are DONE with Christmas shopping.

Yay!
I came home to Josh making a nice dinner... Mmmmm...
The girls and I played MarioKart for a little while, then V and I started to watch a movie - which I started falling asleep to, so we all went to bed.
Today, we are all driving up to my Dad's to celebrate Thanksgiving with him and my brother.
I hope you all enjoy the last day of your holiday weekend!
