Prayers being said for Josh today. I love the Donald shoes. I wish I could wear that type of shoe, but I just can't any more. Woohoo on finishing your first bag!
THanks Tess... Yes, I am a bit nervous about the shoes - I normally cannot wear shoes like that either, but I took out the insoles that came with them, and I added my Orthaheel insoles - hopefully they will be good enough for me to wear. Even if I can only wear them in 3 or 4 hour chunks - I am going to try because I love them so much!
So glad you all had a wonderful week at the lake, but it sounds like you hit the ground running when you got home.
Donald shoes are so cute.
My girls headed out this morning for youth camp. I found it hilarious to see the difference in their personalities just by the number of bags they each were taking. I believe it is safe to say that Charity is an extreme overpacker!
LOL Yup - no rest for the weary.
LOL - that is a funny story, my girls would be much the same way. Alli is researching on Pinterest how to pack for 2 weeks in a carry-on.

I am watching with interest... Hahahaha
Glad you're home and were able to get your bag completed! Glad you got your Dad all squared away.
Yes - I was very happy to finish the first bag... Sadly, I don't love it as much as I loved it in my head... It's not a bad bag or anything - it just doesn't hit me like I thought it would. It's missing something... Pretty sure that "something" is an applique - but I am not putting an applique on it... So...

It's just going to stay the way it is and I will have to deal with it. LOL
Those bags from Nini look awesome!! What a sweetie she is. Also, the shoes Terri did
perfection! Can't wait to see the entire outfit. You'll be "showing your Disney side" in real style, that'f for sure!
Yes! I cannot wait to get them packed. The girls had strict instructions to unpack their stuff from the lake this week, and begin their Disney packing.
I am very excited to show my Disney outfits - There is one that I am super excited about and I cannot wait to share.
Josh will go onto my prayer list for his procedure and of course little Charlotte is already there. I think her mama may need prayers more than Charlotte, bless her heart. It's always harder on us than our kids I think.
I know you'll get lots done now that you're home. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks Lois... I will update about Josh below.
I saw on FB yesterday that Charlotte was a trooper, I hope she continues to feel better.
Looks like you had an amazing week!! Love family time!!!
Glad your home safe and can get back to working in your sewing room.
and i've missed you!!!!
Love ya!
Mean it!!!
Hi Mo - we did have a great week, however - it does feel good to be home and back to work on my remaining orders and trip stuff. LIke I said - if I can get everything done this week that I would like to - I would feel so much better.
Yay for being home and having packages. I bought the packing cubes last year. A different set for each of us. I was paranoid about us getting to WDW and a suitcase not making it and someone not having any clothes. So, we packed 2 outfits in each and so every suitcase had 3 extra packing cubes. It worked great, but hard to explain. Luckily all of our suitcases made it. Those packing cubes have been to Ireland and
Disneyland. They really make packing a breeze, plus we could unpack our suitcases easily. My kids even use them for overnight trips. The larger ones are big enough to put a change of clothes and pj in plus toiletries. Much better than the plastic grocery bag Jacob used to use. We love them. Although, they didn't have the patterns when we bought ours. We just have solid ones.
Love the Donald shoes.
That is good to know Shannon... I am not sure if I am going to buy more or not? I would like to - and I am certain it will make things easier, my budget is just really tight for this trip. Maybe for the next trip?
THanks - I am very excited to wear them!
We have season passes which come back into use on 08/15/2014. Not sure if you are going to be here before that or not. Are you all going to do any time at DTD? If so that's always an option too!
Glad you all made it back safe from the lake, it looks like you all had a blast! (even if MM did get stinky).
Your new Donald shoes are adorable, can't wait to see the rest of the outfits!
I will send you a PM - if I forget, please send one to me.
We did have a great time - it was so relaxing.
I am very excited to show you all! It's going to be a fun trip dressing me all up. Hahaha!
So glad you made it home safe and sound, hope all goes well for Josh!! Gotta say I love those Donald shoes, Terrie is so talented. Oh you are too of course with all your bags, just love them. Disney is coming so fast for you now........and you will be able to see the frozen stuff!!
THanks Trish! Yes - Terri is so talented, I am very excited to be wearing these in Disney. I plan to start breaking them in today.
I know - it's crazy!!! It needs to slow down a little bit, as bad as I want to be there - I don't want to have our trip over yet.
Sending prayers for Joshs' procedure. Glad you are all home safe and sound and have your dad set for his trip.
Thank you Kathy. Yes, it's such a relief to be home and back to work, and such a relief to have my dad's trip all figured out.
So glad you had safe travels and you are home safe and sound.
I hope everything went well for Josh today.
So happy you got a bag finished! That is one thing off your plate - and only nine thousand, nine hundred, ninety-nine more things to finish
Those shoes are ADORABLE! Did Terri paint them or is that something else she decorated them with? You will be 'stylin' for sure!
Can't wait to see all your new goodies!
THank you... How is your DH doing?
Hahaha - that is exactly it too... So much to get done.
Terri painted the shoes... She posted a picture of a Mickey pair that I just loved, so I asked her for a "Donald" version... She totally nailed it too!

First, an update on Josh. His procedure went well yesterday. If you remember, a few months ago - he had a trial run of this procedure. So, this is the "big one" - it didn't take long, he was in and out of the hospital in an hour... Essentially, what they did was burn off the nerve endings in his back, so he cannot feel the pain. This is his last option before they consider surgery. This nerve burning is supposed to last about a year, eventually the nerve endings will grow back, so he may have to have this procedure done again and again until he decides that surgery is the option he wants to take.
I was able to start my lifting routine again yesterday, which makes me happy. I was so sad when we didn't have room in the Edge for my weights at the cabin. I feel much better to be back to my routine. I'd really like to amp it up a little before our trip, as I would like 2 pairs of my shorts to fit me better than they do, but I have no idea what to do... So, I will just keep doing what I am doing and hope it works.
I had lots of errands to do yesterday, so I was in and out of the house all day long. I really should have started on Auction bag #10 and this week's custom order, but since I was only here for hour chunks at a time - it was easier to work on smaller projects yesterday.
Sooo... I redid my 5x7 Donald head into a 4x4... Perfect size! Then, I took all of my felt appliques and attached them to all of my dresses/tanks. So, all of those are done and ready to pack!

I would still like to find a Mickey head 'Ohana flower applique for the bottom of the dress I plan to wear to "Ohana... But no big deal if I can't. I know Heather Sue has a clippie one - but that's not what I want.

I guess I could hand applique one - but I will have to see if time permits.
I am very excited to have all of those done though.
Then, I received a PM from Jennifer of Princess Pie Bowtique... The 3 items I ordered from her are ready to ship and should go out in today's mail.

She sent me sneak peeks of them yesterday and I am SOOOO excited to see them in their entirety! As usual, she does fantastic work! I cannot wait to wear more PPB on this trip! Between my bags and wearing PPB - we are quite the sight to behold in the parks.
When I left for town yesterday to pick Alli up at work, I went a little early... I decided to splurge and get my nails done... I was still wearing my Disney nails from my Dismeet in Chicago - and they were starting to look horrible. I was trying to keep them on for the 4th of July, because they were cute for that. But it was time to get something new. I've decided I need to continue having my nails done - it's cheap enough and I've worked so hard to make myself look good - I deserve to have cute nails. <--- Yup, that's how I plan to justify it. Anyways... Here's my nails to tide me over until I have my Disney nails put back on for our trip...
Then, last night I had my City Council meeting... It went well. We made the move on a few big decisions we couldn't hold off on anymore, and I think it will be good for our City. So, that's good. It's hard to spend taxpayers $$, especially when you are as small as we are, but sometimes it's unavoidable.
Oh and the final thing for today... Updated Donald shoe pictures... They turned out great!!! I cannot wait to show you all the rest of the outfit!
So, today... I will be working on cutting out and quilting both Auction bag #10 and my custom order for this week... I hope to get both of them cut out and quilted today. Which will certainly mean working in my sewing room after dinner (which I try not to do).
I also have to break in the middle of my day to take Alli to work. Thankfully I don't have to pick her up... Her and Gus plan to hang out today, so he is bringing her home afterwards.

Gus is still around - but they are just friends.
Otherwise, I will be a slave to my machines all day.
Stay tuned for my first FP+ post...
