Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

Way to go Victoria!! :thumbsup2 That bag is amazing, especially considering she's only 13! She could have her on Etsy business before too long. Is the T for Tinkerbell or is that the person she made it for?? I love the colors and fabric, especially the lining! Beautiful!

Love V's bag! Great job. We would never have known it wasn't your work if you didn't tell us. Looks perfect! Like mother like daughter, I guess :)

Victoria, you did a beautiful job on the bag :goodvibes you have some wicked natural talent girl for sewing, just like your mama :goodvibes:goodvibes

have fun at the sale D~, drive safe!

oops, sorry didn't recognize that as the Haunted Mansion :confused3 for some reason

I have been following along, so finally decided to post, just to comment on Victoria's bag. What a fantastic job she did and I love the tink fabric!!!!!

Your PP pics are amazing. I am trying to edit mine from our June trip, it takes a long times when you have close to 500 to start with. I have to say yours turned out better, because you all know how to smile at the camera. My 2 year old is still wotking on this so some pics are awesome and some not so much.

Oh also, just saw pics of your sewing machines and I'm amazed you can do such awesome work by using such "classic" machines.

Have fun at the sale!

Ha ha, no quotes for me, but......

my reply on the iPad that was eaten was about half as long. The replying posted was from my PC. I may not learn the first or second time but by the third I switch to pc lol. The pc doesn't usually eat my responses. Lol

That is hilarious a out MM! My dog is sort of the same. As soon as she was done eating we would always put her outside as a result now the second she finishes she has to go outside lol gets old.

V's bag turned out awesome!

Thank you for the tip on the AG doll. I a, going to look up tat forum link you sent me earlier I don't want to do anything to wreck the dolls curls. Poor Elizabeth has been through quite a beating at Disney. I got the her the doll bag/back pack so that the doll stayed safe, well her hair can easily get caught in the zipper I packed the doll costumes in zip licks and labled with permanent marker. Well the marker rubbed off the bag onto the dolls legs. So she has black marks on her legs. At Epcot, surprise torrential downpour and I left the stroller with doll in it outside the land well it rained bad. So dolly carrier got wet, doll got wet, doll costume got wet and color from material ran onto the doll body who now has splotches of pink. Yes I am Not happy lol.

Off I go! Can't wait to see the new bag.

Finally all caught up. Have no idea how I got so far behind. Oh yeah I do it's called KIDS!!! :rotfl2:

First off love Victoria's bag. She did an awesome job!!

Enjoyed seeing all of your photopass pics! So much fun!!

Loved the Mary Poppins bag. The colors and everything look great together!!!

V's bag is awesome! Her quilting is great and I love the quilted interior pocket -- I need to start doing that for the totes I make! I also need to bite the bullet and buy the dog bag pattern b/c my VB is getting worn looking and someone isn't releasing her bag pattern :headache:

Wow! I'm super impressed! And I love the inside Tink Fabric! So cute!!

Love seeing all the pictures! And can I just say I love seeing a picture of one of your bags in action! :) I'm on your list for a bag this fall, and I am so bad with measurements and visualizing in my head the size of things! Loved seeing a picture of the bag on a person! It's even bigger/better than I imagined! I'm so excited for you to create mine! :yay::yay:

OMG! This is my favorite dessert at DHS! Yum!

Yah it was good - but I think I would order the Napoleon next time. :)

That's a great bag Victoria made. She got talent. I couldn't have done that.

Obviously talent gallops in your family!

I love her bag. Have fun at the AG sale....

off to VBS with three sleepy kids....fun

Yah - editing those PP pics when you return home is a full time job. LOL

Thanks - I LOVE my vintage machines!!! My aunt that went with me yesterday has been sewing forever - and when I was a little girl, I remember her trying to teach my cousin and I to sew. I was telling her about V making the bag, and how, at one point, she was going through 8 layers of fabric and 5 layers of quilting material at once, and Patience didn't even hiccup. I thought that was cool... Well then a few minutes later, she had to fold that portion over... so then she was going through 16 layers of fabric and 10 layers of quilting material... :woohoo: I've never actually counted the layers I go through when I am making my bags... I am very fortunate to have such a good machine. :smokin:

Ok... So, to everyone that commented on V's bag... She wanted me to tell you "Tell them Thank You very much!"... She read each and every one of your replies - and I appreciate you all complimenting her. :lovestruc She got to give her completed bag to her Godmother yesterday - and her Godmother LOVED it!!!! She was so happy that V took the time to make her something so special - she was genuinely thrilled - which made V so happy!

We had a great time at the sale yesterday! I was so happy to fulfill everyone's requests... Between the 4 of us, we ended up with 27 dolls and 4 Bitty Twins. This was a portion of our items before we loaded them in the car (we had one missing bag here)...

Then, this is everything that stayed at my house when my Aunt and cousins headed home (minus the doll outfits)...

When all was said and done... I spent 10 hours on the road yesterday - 6 of them driving home. My aunt and cousins spent 17 hours on the road - as they live about 3 hours north of me. It was a very long day for all of us (and I am still exhausted!), but we had a lot of fun. We don't do this every year, but when we can make it work with all of our schedules, we go for it! We all enjoy AG and we all love sharing it with like minded people. :lovestruc

Victoria's Godmother got her one of the $35 voucher dolls as a belated birthday gift - Victoria named her Reese. I also got myself a $35 voucher doll, which is nameless at the moment. These two new additions make our doll collection rather massive, and they no longer fit on our shelf. :rolleyes1

I will be spending the remainder of my day in my sewing room. Since I "took yesterday off", I have a lot of catching up to do. It is my hope that I will finish my current bag and wallet today - but I just don't think that will happen... But I am going to try.

I hope you all have a wonderful day today! :) And I will post pictures later today if I happen to finish this bag set. :lovestruc

How sweet of Victoria to give her Godmother the bag she made. :lovestruc
I'm glad you had a great time at the sale yesterday. It's so great being able to sell stuff you don't need that others may find usefull.

wow that's quite the haul D~...looks like you are going to be making some happy little girls somewhere with all those dolls!

let me know what my bill is for my stuff when you get a chance!

D, - or anyone else who has an UPB do you think a small DSLR would fit in it?

It would fit, but it might be tight. You'd probably be better off with something a little thicker. And it would depend on what else you have in there :)

I just tried my digital camera with the lens extended and there was plenty of room! I would say if it's a small one it should be fine!

Wow! V did a great job on her bag!! So sweet she gave it to her godmother! Whoa!! Lots of dolls.

I know I don't comment much, but I think Victoria did an unbelievable job on that bag. It looks so professional and well-done; I really like the hidden Tink fabric in the inside. It's hard to believe that was done by a 13 year-old!

I only went back far enough to see the original post with Victoria's bag pictures in it . . . after I post this I'm going to go back and try to read the rest. . .

I am so very proud of Victoria! She did a great job making this bag! Can you believe she is only 13? I did help her quite a bit, pinning and such - but she did all the sewing and quilting herself. She also picked all the fabrics. Not only that, but this was her first applique - she had done a small one last summer/fall - but this was her first "real" applique! I think she did amazing!

I told her I was going to post pictures in my TR - so she would really appreciate all of your comments. :lovestruc

D~

V! :worship: You did an amazing job! When I was your age I was sewing circle skirts (and I'd make my mom hem them) . . . this bag looks like your mom made it (and I have one of her first and I know how amazing they are!)!!! Fabulous job!

When you say "small DSLR" what do you mean exactly? Are we talking Nikon D40? Or something smaller? I took my Nikon D80 with us on our trip and I could just squeeze it in my UPB with my 18-105mm lens on it . . .
