Grace wants just me & her to celebrate her 21st birthday at WDW this October - can I just say how happy I am to hear that from her?

I'm currently hatching a plan to try to make it happen, just a long weekend. It's probably not a bad drive to WDW from Savannah. Maybe I can get cheapie airfare from Atlanta?

She deserves to celebrate!

I know this wasn't directed at me - but YAY!!!! A trip back to WDW... I hope my girls tell me that when they are 21.

Believe it or not, I have a funny story for you... My oldest dd - Alli - her birthday is April 21. Now, I have a cousin who also shares her birthday, and I remember when we were little - her birthday fell on Easter. So, all of Alli's life, I've been telling her that one year, her birthday will fall on Easter. Finally, a couple years ago, Alli asked me "So, when is my birthday gonna fall on Easter?"... So I called up my friend "Google", and I nearly died right there. On Miss Alli's 21st Birthday, which also happens to be her Golden birthday, it falls on Easter Sunday... but that's not all. In the state of MN, the 21st birthday is a huge milestone, because that's when they are legal drinking age... Since her 21st birthday falls on, not only a Sunday, but Easter Sunday - all of the bars are closed. Guess who won't be spending her 21st birthday in a bar???

Judy, Finn is doing well. I have been so bummed that my next trip is so far off that the DIS depresses me sometimes. I plan on finishing my TR now that I am out of school TODAY! I can't remember if I posted about Finn's vocal cord. It was paralyzed during the surgery. Likely during the repair since the nerves to it is right next to the aorta. Anyway, we knew there was a 3% chance. Lucky us. But Finn is ALIVE. That's important. Speech therapy to help his breathing and then just wait and see if function returns. It will be within the next 3 months or so if it heals itself. His voice is a bit higher and he gasps every 4 words or so. The therapist is teaching him about noisy breathing and using all his air to talk. He's doing well! Hopefully these strategies will become habit. Sorry for hijacking your thread!!!

You can take over my TR any time - I don't mind. I am so very sorry for all that Finn has had to endure, but it sounds like he has over come a lot and has a long road of recovery in front of him. Many prayers and hugs.

Yep, that's my size - now we're talkin'!

I'm a minimalist at heart so this is the biggest bag I'm comfortable carrying. And in case you we're curious here's what a minimalist carries in her bag:

Zip pocket inside front for credit cards, drivers license & cash (wallets are just so bulky)

Two pockets in back liner for girlie things, lipstick and stuff. Essentials only in center - hand sanitizer, a pen, car keys, room for my iPhone and Excederine.

Yup, I like to keep it simple! D, I can't wait to see it!

I've been following along on a few different devices so I don't have any quotes but I wanted to say

I love A in her prom dress. So cute and fun.

V looks so perfect in her pirate outfit and matching clippie. Your trip update is great. Too bad A was not feeling good but it looks like you guys enjoyed your day. Can't wait to see more. That picture of the girls is perfect and Joanna sounds like such a sweet person.

The wedding gift you made looked so beautiful in action. It goes great with their dinnerwear. That picture looks like something out of Better Homes and Gardens.

Saturday (today) - went to Amy's to see her new toy and let the kids swim; came home to applique a t for dd for tomorrow's baseball game and now need to make a skirt -- it will be very simple so I likely won't start it til tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for such nice birthday wishes! It was so nice of all of you to think of me yesterday! I had such a wonderful day with DH and the girls... My favortie part, was when DH put the top down on the Jeep, and we went for a drive - we found this quaint little town about 15 miles from us... They aren't much bigger than we are, and their main business in town is a tubing/canoeing rental/shuttle - so you go there and park, then you pay to rent a tube/canoe and they bring you 5+ miles up the river, drop you off and you ride down... You can go as many times as you'd like all day long. Anyways, we decided that we want to do that one day this summer. Then they also have this adorable little icecream parlor - so Josh took the girls and I for icecream. They have some really fun/oddball flavors... V had a blueberry cheesecake, I can't remember what Alli had, Josh had the Turtle flavor, and I had somthing called Elvis - it was banana flavored icecream with chunks of peanut butter and fudge... Totally divine and wonderful. Honestly - it was such a simple day, but it was the most fun I have had, and one of those memories I hope to remember forever.

Sandra... I just wanted to say... I love that I have a birthday twin, and I hope you had the most wonderful birthday ever!! ​

And to the rest of you... Thank you so much for being such great friends to me!

The plan today... I need to get up to my sewing room - I was able to finish the applique on my latest bag yesterday, so I'd like to work on the bag for a little while - hoping to have it finished tomorrow.

Glad you had a good birthday! Aren't those days the best....no real "plans", just a relaxing day together. I remember last Father's Day we did the "rounds" to each father's house, then we had the afternoon off. We drove up to a favorite place of mine from childhood by a little mountain pond and just spent the day as a family. It was really nothing, but it is still one of my favorite memories. Can't wait to try it again this year....if it ever stops raining up here That Elvis icecream sounds soooooo incredible! Right up my alley. I have some vanilla in the freezer, maybe I will have to add some banana, choc chips and peanutbutter to it tonight after the little man goes to sleep. Perfect birthday treat!

I have a bit left to do on my next bag - I plan to finish that today, as well, and post pictures.

I would also like to get another update done - but it will really depend on how my day goes.

I will, however, leave you with a picture I took of MM last night, sleeping in his kennel. Because it's summer now, and his kennel gets really hot, we just leave his kennel door open, and he's free to sleep anywhere in the kitchen... thay way he can cool himself on the floor. But I went to say good night to him last night, and he we sleeping so silly - I had to take a picture. LOL

And then the other night, we were watching a movie, and he decided to cuddle - he is getting to be such a big boy... Josh took him to the vet last week, and he's up to 40 lbs! Gulp!
