Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

The pockets inside were perfect! I think it was because of the way the top zips close. It was more an issue with the top of the bag being too close to the top of the pockets. But with the reduced size in the bag, it's completely understandable. It held a cellphone perfectly (with room to spare), but when the phone was ringing, it wasn't as easy to pull it out with the top of the bag being so close. It was much easier and better to keep the cellphone in the front slip pocket (with NEVER a worry about it falling out!). I truly don't have any recommendations to improve, but the lady who owned the EQ bag was totally in love with it! (And I think having one big one would be ... too big. Their size itself were fine, it was just an issue with how close the pocket was to the top of the bag. If it doesn't make any sense, I can try to see if she'll take some pictures or something to explain it.)

Even if Snow White wasn't too impressed and her family was embarrassed when Snow White came out during a lunch at Akershus.

You know Liddy - I know exactly what you mean... That was a concern of mine when I finished the bag. If it really bothers that person - tell her to PM me, I think I can fix it. :lovestruc She'd have to live with out it for a few weeks though...

D~

 Someday I want to buy on of your bags D... but like Chiara not sure which one I would pick... probably a Minnie one though. I do love her.

Mmmm. . . I'm thinking we need at least ONE trip to Iggy's near you and one trip to Iggy's "down south" this summer. . .
Speaking of summer - did you create your outdoor sewing area yet? Save some room for me!!!! :cutie:

I haven't yet as it is :cold: Cold again.:sad2: But I will save you & D room.

D.... sadly the Doughboys don't travel well so you will have to come to RI to try them.

:goodvibes

It took me a week, but I made it through fifteen pages (okay, so I might have skipped some comments...)...

Comments for the last fifteen pages...
Max is adorable!
Loved how Goofy made magical memories for Victoria!
Poor for Donald ruining your bag. That's sad. :sad1:
Glad that you enjoyed staying on Disney property! (Maybe the magic missing was not having dh with you?)
Totally dying for a Dole Whip! (One trip, we ate ours on the benches in Adventureland by the pirate's stage and POC; I felt the same way. It was wonderful!)

Can't wait to read more!

Better go figure out what is for supper tonight. Josh was thawing ribs - but then he put them away because he had an appointment to go do a lease signing at the duplex - then the lady had to reschedule... So, I'm thinking it will be frozen pizzas for dinner tonight.

D~

:teacher: Here's a tip for you.

Before you eat the pizzas, bake them. My family likes them so much better that way. ::yes::

:upsidedow <---Me, who could give Martha Stewart some help

I'm reading the reviews and I'm so excited because I know I'm in line for an UPB! Can't wait!! It just sounds perfect for me and all my essentials!

hope MM behaves himself tonight!

Tasha also LOVED Fritos!!

would you like me to text you Friday night when we arrive in Hawaii...let see we get in at 9:00pm...so that would be what 2am for you...maybe not  wouldn't want to wake you up!

Okay so I worked on an order tonight and I cut out some things but did I starts Cs final skirt no I didn't.

I am going to try and figure out what I want for a UPB when I get back from our trip because I only have 2 more this year and the cruise LOL.

I did rearrange my basement and made my sewing area larger oh and I did clean down there yes I said clean. :rotfl:

Heading to bed because I have to get up in 6 hours and tomorrow is a bit hectic since I have an extra meeting at night for support group I haven't been in ages.

Hi Deb! Glad you made it over! Yah - he's a cutie, that's for sure. Especially when he's in a cuddly mood. :lovestruc

Loved how Goofy made magical memories for Victoria!

Yes - that was super awesome! One of our favorite memories from this trip!

Poor for Donald ruining your bag. That's sad.

I know - but I can always make another one - when I find the time. LOL

Glad that you enjoyed staying on Disney property! (Maybe the magic missing was not having dh with you?)

LOL I don't think that was it... I really think it was the disgusting bathrooms this time... I have never seen them so nasty anywhere in my life! Especially not in Disney.

Totally dying for a Dole Whip! (One trip, we ate ours on the benches in Adventureland by the pirate's stage and POC; I felt the same way. It was wonderful!)

Can't wait to read more!

Adventureland is also a great place to eat a Dole Whip. :lovestruc

Maybe you should send her an email Cheryl?

Ummm... Thanks, but no - LOL. Well, you can if you want to - I guess - I always sleep with my phone downstairs, so the only one you will wake is MM. OK - rethink that - text me in the morning, my time. LOL

Okay so I worked on an order tonight and I cut out some things but did I starts Cs final skirt no I didn't.

I am going to try and figure out what I want for a UPB when I get back from our trip because I only have 2 more this year and the cruise LOL.

LOL... Yes, you definately want to get your $$ worth. How many trips are you planning for next year?

Awesome that you got your basement clean! I hope your meeting went well. :wizard:

We have MM's first vet appt this morning.

Then I have the appliques all ready to go on my current bag - so I will be bonding with Mr. R all day today. popcorn:: We'll see if he enjoyed his vacation? :rolleyes1

I wish there was something in my life that is exciting to write about - but it's just boring right now. :confused3 So, feel free to talk about yourselves. :lovestruc

2013 no clue yet maybe 2 or 3, we better enjoy it since it is Gs last year before he retires to civilian life. Not looking forward to that:eek::scared1:

though I did tell him he has to work. :lmao::lmao:

Need to get my guy up for school and hoping to iron the boy launch fabric and maybe sew a little tiny bit before work. I have a RTS skirt partially done if I could decide what princess I would be further along.

Oh and I need to stitch my launch skirt I do have it all pinned and cut out though so it is just a matter of sitting down and sewing.

We left off right before Corri, the girls and I met up with Liddy...

They decided to eat in Japan for lunch. I've never had Japanese food - but since we were on free dining - I was totally game to try something new.

Again, before I say any more - I just have to say that Liddy's kids are so adorable, and you will see later in this post, just how much they enjoyed my girls and how much my girls enjoyed them. It was as if they had known eachother their whole lives, and it was so sweet.

So, as we waited for Katsura Grill to finish opening, the girls and I decided on what to order. And then the kids went to sit down at the long table in the center, considering our large party of 10, we filled it up.

I believe Allison ordered the Sushi Combo Meal with a California roll... I guess I am really not sure. She has always wanted to try Sushi, and I figured this was a good place for her to try it. I will say, she didn't like it and gave her sushi away to everyone at the table. I tried it, as well - and I don't think I'll order it again - and I am not a picky person.
IMG_3371.jpg

Victoria ordered the Teriyaki Chicken, I remember her saying something about not liking the chicken??? I should have written it down - but I didn't. At least I took pictures. LOL She also got the Azuki Strawberry icecream - which everyone at the table loved, almost everyone ordered this or the Green Tea icecream - which was very good too.
IMG_3369.jpg

IMG_3370.jpg

Then I ordered the Shogun Combo with beef. It was OK... You can see one of Alli's California Rolls on my plate, which I didn't like - but glad I tried. For dessert, I ordered the Matcha Roll Cake... All I can say is EEEW. Took one bite and offered it to everyone else at the table. I should have gotten the icecream - but I wanted to try something new.
IMG_3367.jpg

IMG_3368.jpg

A picture of all the kids at the table, with Kouga and Akki across from them (Liddy's DH's friends - who were very nice)
IMG_3372.jpg

After we ate lunch, Corri wanted to go pick a pearl, so we followed her down. Of course, the girls were entranced by the whole process, and wanted to participate. After much debating, and the girls realizing they didn't have enough spending $$ left to do that and still get some other souvenirs they'd wanted, I offered to pay for the pick a pearl portion - but they had to pay for the setting of their choice. I think this worked out well, because then I spent an even amount on both of them, then they could choose the setting they wanted with in their budget.

You can see half of Corri just to the left of V in this picture:
IMG_3375.jpg

And you can see the elusive Liddy in the background of this pic - gray shirt with her head turned...

Liddy's dd and my girls decided they wanted to spend some time together... So we took Liddy's dd with us the other direction around WS, while Liddy and her clan headed the other way to get TT FPs. We all planned to meet up at Soarin' to use our FPs from earlier. Our return times started just as Liddy's ended, so we really needed to be precise with our return.

Some great pictures of all 3 girls - they really were fast friends! And to be honest - my girls really miss Liddy's kids... They were so sad to only have one day with them.

IMG_3388.jpg

I have a few more pics of our girls together, but I had to pull them out, because I have reached my limit of photos for this post.

We reached Soarin' a bit late for Liddy's FP return... The CM did give us a lecture, but she was nice enough to let us all through. I really have to say that this FP enforcement really sucked - especially because there really is no leniency at all, and you get lectured if you are even 5 min late. It's so frustrating, because you are confined to that area for fear that you will miss your FP return window, and then all those areas are SUPER crowded, because everyone else is doing the same thing. Not to mention the FP return lines are really long now... Anyways...
IMG_3391.jpg

IMG_3392.jpg

After we rode Soarin' together, we all parted ways - the girls were so upset - they would have rather stayed together.

Corri, my girls and I decided to ride Living with the Land... We have never ridden, and it was a nice enjoyable ride, where we enjoyed finding all the Hidden Mickeys.

IMG_3408.jpg

As promised - a better picture of Beth's bows on my Keens - aren't they super cute???
IMG_3412.jpg

After that, we wandered out, and noticed Figment. We had never been on Figment before - and since I have made a couple of Figment bags, I really wanted to see what all the love was all about... So, in we went.

V had to get another photo with her Goofy Duffy Bear:
IMG_3414.jpg

Figment was a super fun little ride, and I am sure we will ride it again. He is definately a cute little guy!

We stopped to play in the fountains for a while - where I took some Now n' Then photos - which I will post at the end.

And we found these really awesome sand castle builders working on a sand sculpture for the new Chimpanzee movie coming out soon.
IMG_3423.jpg

We were headed towards Mexico to work our way much more slowly around WS... we wanted to land at the International Gateway around the time of our early dinner ADR at Cape May Buffet.

On our way to Mexico - the girls were getting feisty & really wanted to spend some alone time with me - so Corri parted ways with us. Not to worry though, we'll meet up with her again in time to go to the Dismeet later.

After we parted ways, the girls and I rode the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros, the air conditioning was a relief, because it was starting to get quite hot outside.

We were in search of a snack, because we were very hungry after not eating much of our lunch.

We decided to detour in Norway to ride Maelstrom. This is a ride that I've always wanted to do - but I've never done. The line was excessively long, but we decided to wait anyways. I am glad we rode it once - but I would never wait in a line that long for that ride again - it just wasn't worth it.

We found a Photopass photographer in China, and as we were getting our picture taken, Liddy found us. So we took a few more pictures and a couple of magic shot pictures - even some pictures of Liddy and I together (which I will post when I get my cd back). One photo that I really wish we would have gotten - either with Photopass or on one of our cameras - is a picture of our kids together.

We parted ways in Germany, then girls and I were headed to Japan to retrieve their pearls from earlier.

We finally found snacks... Alli got an M&M cookie, V got a strawberry smoothie, and D~ got a mango smoothie. Those smoothies really hit the spot!

Sorry about the lack of pictures, I am not sure what happened, but I must have put my camera away??? As I am missing pictures from this whole afternoon - and that is not like me at all??

We continued to stroll around WS, stopping for any and all Photopass photographers we could find, and stopping for any shows that were going on.

We ended up at the International Gateway early. We decided to head towards the Beach Club, and hopefully check out that resort a little bit, and check in for our dinner ADR early.

Loved your updates!

My kids totally fell in love with yours!!! You know ... I could use some babysitters. :rolleyes1 Just FedEx them to me. If they start missing you, I'll ship them back. :thumbsup2

I am so glad that you everyone tolerated Kouga & Akki. They're trouble-makers, like me, so I was worried. :lmao:

And I can't believe that lady with the EQ bag just made herself at home at your table!

Sorry you didn't like the sushi. It was okay ... but I really prefer something like tuna instead of imitation crab. Maybe next time, we'll go somewhere nice and I'll order up a big sushi plate for the table and you can try some "real" sushi. :goodvibes You may even prefer sashimi or nigiri.

I didn't mean to be elusive. :confused3 You could have called and been like "Liddy, stop looking around like a maniac!" I think I was trying to find my DH who wandered off. I wanted him to take pictures so me and DD could pick pearls together ... but he was a goober and I couldn't find him. :guilty:

After we parted ways for a bit, my DD whined the entire time ... she was desperate to spend the whole day with you and your girls. She was willing to even ride Living With the Land again (in which she proclaimed was uber boring and begged to not have to ride it the first time :lmao:).

You know Liddy - I know exactly what you mean... That was a concern of mine when I finished the bag. If it really bothers that person - tell her to PM me, I think I can fix it. :lovestruc She'd have to live with out it for a few weeks though...

D~

It doesn't bother her at all. She prefers the cellphone in the slip pocket anyway. :goodvibes

Right now, the bag is packed away so it doesn't get ruined. :thumbsup2

:teacher: Here's a tip for you.

Before you eat the pizzas, bake them. My family likes them so much better that way. ::yes::

:upsidedow <---Me, who could give Martha Stewart some help

Hmmm.... :scratchin

I never would have thought to bake them. I dunno what we'd do without chipping teeth on them. :confused3

I do have some drawings for a small backpack... I am really trying to decide on a size though (do you have any recommendations??)... I also have a quilted drawstring backpack drawn up... A wheelchair bag... I just haven't had the time to make any prototypes - story of my life. :confused3

Curious... what kind of strap did the 31 bag have on it, was is quilted?

This is the bag in question....

mom089.jpg

The gray on top is quilted and very soft, but the under side of the strap is scratchy. I don't know what fabric it is...kind of a webbing?? I took my 31 cinch sak backpack and it was great. Plus it helped that we had the stroller to put stuff in too. The only problem I could see with a backpack is getting stuff constantly in and out of it. I've seen packs with a cellphone pocket built into the strap, so when you're wearing it you can get your cell easily. That would be good. And I would probably have to wear some sort of id wallet on front for photopass etc. I think a quilted drawstring one would be great! Sign me up :) Goofy or Castle...or prettymuch anything you do. I love them all!

Happy you had such a fun day with Liddy and Corri's group!
you were brave to try the food in Japan, eww for me too! not a seafood lover and none of that looked very appetizing to me!

cool the girls got pearls...Megan got one back in 2008 and has never worn it, I should just take it :thumbsup2

looks the the whole new FP return is not working so well, maybe they will go back to how they had it....the whole idea is not to have to wait in long lines isn't it :confused3

okay I will text you in the morning on Sat, don't want to wake up MM, then he might wake you all up

Nini

I have one that I got on ebay, and it is cute! The problem I had was that when I got home the pearl I picked was too big for the cage. I think I got an 8mm pearl. Oh well, it was still fun!

So D,
I have what I think is an almost perfect park backpack. If you want I can post pictures tonight. I got it at WDW years ago and they don't make the exact same kind anymore, that I've been able to find.

Hi, found your trip report from all the way over in the UK and am loving it. Also had to go back and read your entire PTR and look at the amazing bags etc that you sew - incredible. Looking forward to reading more!!

I"ll be back later to respond to everyone... but I wanted to respond to Stephanie, just in case she stops back before tonight... :)

I would love it if you could post pics... You know I'd throw my own twist into everything anyways - so it probably woudn't be exactly the same. :lovestruc

Sounds like a wonderful day in EPCOT, however I have to say that Japanese food didn't look or sound all that great. Don't think I'll eat there, but I really love visiting Japan, especially Miyuki, the Candy Lady. She's fantastic! Have you ever seen her? Her creations are awesome!

I am sorry D, but I just had to share this pic. It is one of my favorites from our time together at Epcot.
