We left off right before Corri, the girls and I met up with Liddy...
They decided to eat in Japan for lunch. I've never had Japanese food - but since we were on free dining - I was totally game to try something new.
Again, before I say any more - I just have to say that Liddy's kids are so adorable, and you will see later in this post, just how much they enjoyed my girls and how much my girls enjoyed them. It was as if they had known eachother their whole lives, and it was so sweet.
So, as we waited for Katsura Grill to finish opening, the girls and I decided on what to order. And then the kids went to sit down at the long table in the center, considering our large party of 10, we filled it up.
I believe Allison ordered the Sushi Combo Meal with a California roll... I guess I am really not sure. She has always wanted to try Sushi, and I figured this was a good place for her to try it. I will say, she didn't like it and gave her sushi away to everyone at the table. I tried it, as well - and I don't think I'll order it again - and I am not a picky person.
Victoria ordered the Teriyaki Chicken, I remember her saying something about not liking the chicken??? I should have written it down - but I didn't. At least I took pictures. LOL She also got the Azuki Strawberry icecream - which everyone at the table loved, almost everyone ordered this or the Green Tea icecream - which was very good too.
Then I ordered the Shogun Combo with beef. It was OK... You can see one of Alli's California Rolls on my plate, which I didn't like - but glad I tried. For dessert, I ordered the Matcha Roll Cake... All I can say is EEEW. Took one bite and offered it to everyone else at the table. I should have gotten the icecream - but I wanted to try something new.
A picture of all the kids at the table, with Kouga and Akki across from them (Liddy's DH's friends - who were very nice)
After we ate lunch, Corri wanted to go pick a pearl, so we followed her down. Of course, the girls were entranced by the whole process, and wanted to participate. After much debating, and the girls realizing they didn't have enough spending $$ left to do that and still get some other souvenirs they'd wanted, I offered to pay for the pick a pearl portion - but they had to pay for the setting of their choice. I think this worked out well, because then I spent an even amount on both of them, then they could choose the setting they wanted with in their budget.
You can see half of Corri just to the left of V in this picture:
And you can see the elusive Liddy in the background of this pic - gray shirt with her head turned...
Liddy's dd and my girls decided they wanted to spend some time together... So we took Liddy's dd with us the other direction around WS, while Liddy and her clan headed the other way to get TT FPs. We all planned to meet up at Soarin' to use our FPs from earlier. Our return times started just as Liddy's ended, so we really needed to be precise with our return.
Some great pictures of all 3 girls - they really were fast friends! And to be honest - my girls really miss Liddy's kids... They were so sad to only have one day with them.
I have a few more pics of our girls together, but I had to pull them out, because I have reached my limit of photos for this post.
We reached Soarin' a bit late for Liddy's FP return... The CM did give us a lecture, but she was nice enough to let us all through. I really have to say that this FP enforcement really sucked - especially because there really is no leniency at all, and you get lectured if you are even 5 min late. It's so frustrating, because you are confined to that area for fear that you will miss your FP return window, and then all those areas are SUPER crowded, because everyone else is doing the same thing. Not to mention the FP return lines are really long now... Anyways...
After we rode Soarin' together, we all parted ways - the girls were so upset - they would have rather stayed together.
Corri, my girls and I decided to ride Living with the Land... We have never ridden, and it was a nice enjoyable ride, where we enjoyed finding all the Hidden Mickeys.
As promised - a better picture of Beth's bows on my Keens - aren't they super cute???
After that, we wandered out, and noticed Figment. We had never been on Figment before - and since I have made a couple of Figment bags, I really wanted to see what all the love was all about... So, in we went.
V had to get another photo with her Goofy Duffy Bear:
Figment was a super fun little ride, and I am sure we will ride it again. He is definately a cute little guy!
We stopped to play in the fountains for a while - where I took some Now n' Then photos - which I will post at the end.
And we found these really awesome sand castle builders working on a sand sculpture for the new Chimpanzee movie coming out soon.
We were headed towards Mexico to work our way much more slowly around WS... we wanted to land at the International Gateway around the time of our early dinner ADR at Cape May Buffet.
On our way to Mexico - the girls were getting feisty & really wanted to spend some alone time with me - so Corri parted ways with us. Not to worry though, we'll meet up with her again in time to go to the Dismeet later.
After we parted ways, the girls and I rode the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros, the air conditioning was a relief, because it was starting to get quite hot outside.
We were in search of a snack, because we were very hungry after not eating much of our lunch.
We decided to detour in Norway to ride Maelstrom. This is a ride that I've always wanted to do - but I've never done. The line was excessively long, but we decided to wait anyways. I am glad we rode it once - but I would never wait in a line that long for that ride again - it just wasn't worth it.
We found a Photopass photographer in China, and as we were getting our picture taken, Liddy found us. So we took a few more pictures and a couple of magic shot pictures - even some pictures of Liddy and I together (which I will post when I get my cd back). One photo that I really wish we would have gotten - either with Photopass or on one of our cameras - is a picture of our kids together.
We parted ways in Germany, then girls and I were headed to Japan to retrieve their pearls from earlier.
We finally found snacks... Alli got an M&M cookie, V got a strawberry smoothie, and D~ got a mango smoothie. Those smoothies really hit the spot!
Sorry about the lack of pictures, I am not sure what happened, but I must have put my camera away??? As I am missing pictures from this whole afternoon - and that is not like me at all??
We continued to stroll around WS, stopping for any and all Photopass photographers we could find, and stopping for any shows that were going on.
We ended up at the International Gateway early. We decided to head towards the Beach Club, and hopefully check out that resort a little bit, and check in for our dinner ADR early.
