you are inspiring me to take more pictures this trip.
I hope you will take more pictures!
That cooler is awesome, how sweet Do you know if it's from the Disney Florist?
Yes, Lisa and Megan sent it from the Disney florist... It was the perfect size and perfect amount of goodies in it for us. Honestly - I didn't even know there were Mickey Rice Krispie treats in it, until I got home and looked at the picture... I guess the girls nabbed those right away.
good luck training MM, can't give any pointers thought my one and only puppy we got when I was 10 and don't remember how we trained her.
wasn't the food area cool...we had great service there also! loved the over sized decorations too!
We just really liked the area and resort immensely. I will say, we made a point to eat at odd times - the one day that we didn't - I was thankful that we mostly had, because it was a zoo!
Megan wasn't thrilled with the water slide either, but was better than no slide
happy you and the girls enjoyed your pixie dust!
You'll see, later in the trip - the pool grew on V.
We LOVED our PD - it was fantastic!
I'm so glad I am catching the beginning of your TR.
First off, your puppy, oh my goodness I am in love.
LOL It feels like it is moving much slower than my PTR did.
Yes, little Max is a heartbreaker, that's for sure.
I just love the luggage set-up. I keep leaving hints for DH about your bags, I usually will leave the browser with pictures from your PTR displayed, so DH will see it when he goes to use the internet. I don't think this is working quite as I expected. Now he keeps arranging my dining room table with my SEW everything workshop book opened and my sewing machine light on. I think he wants me to attempt to make my own bag before giving in
I can't wait to read more.
OK - I read this on my lunch break yesterday, and I was laughing hysterically! How super duper funny! I give your DH huge points for wanting you to try doing it youself. Just make sure he realizes that once you do - you'll be so addicted that he'll never see you again.
WOW! One busy weekend and I'm signing in on page 4!!!! You're off to a great start. . .LOVE all the pics! What is it about Disney that even the counter service meals look awesome!
IKR! And those pictures turned out really good too... We were honestly soooo hungry - we would have eaten anything!
Max is just adorable! I can only imagine how difficult it is to train a pup. . .maybe you should see if you can sprinkle him with a little left over pixie dust! Best of luck. He looks like an awesome addition to the family
Thank you... It really is a rude awakening - Ruf was sooo easy and this puppy is just the opposite. I have yet to catch up on our sleep from the trip, because this little guy just exhausts me every day - and I don't do that much with him. Just watching him makes me tired. LOL
You went to Disney World? How did I miss that?
Can't remember if I ever told you that I

WDW.
Looking forward to reading all about it.
Awww Cheryl - glad you made it over. How was your trip? I didn't get to hear anything about it, because I was gone on mine.
LOREE Awww, thanks. We really loved them too. I can only imagine what we must have looked like in the park with all 7 of us strolling along! My DH is a Disney freak in the making and has only been twice. I don't know how many times I heard "hey did you see ________ on the Disboards" in the weeks leading up to our trip. I think he was on here even more than I was.

He will wear pretty much anything, loves to wear matching stuff and is already planning my next embroidery projects for me. I may not have another trip planned, but he will be keeping me busy.
That's awesome. I could only dream of Josh having a bit of enjoyment out of Disney.
[For us it was the frustration of not making rope drop, constant bathroom breaks (seriously, there wasn't one that they passed by), girly temper tantrums/bickering and not going back to the parks after dinner. We found the crowds on Monday in MK a little much in the afternoon and AK on Wednesday morning was crowded too. The other days we were fine or maybe we just chose the right park those days. The characters were great for us. DS is 11 but has an absolute love of WDW that you can see in his face. Older niece is also 11 and was a little stand offish, but that is normal for her. Younger niece is 8 and really came to life with the princesses, Mickey and Minnie. Other characters she was meh. Unfortunately we didn't get many pictures of DS alone with the characters as the girls were practically stuck like glue to him. Like you, we still had a good time though . . . lemons into lemonade right?
Fortunately, we made every effort every day to make RD - there were a few days we missed. The days that we made the effort, really made our day easier in the long run. Those were the days that we went back to our resort for a rest. It really is true when they tell you that the most busy part of the day is from about 12 - 5pm... You can get so much more done if you just aren't there during those times. LOL
I am so glad that your DS enjoyed the characters... Such wonderful memories for him.
[Routine is important and I am sure that it will get better as everyone settles in the next few weeks. I agree that puppies are worse than toddlers but the puppy stage seems to go by so quickly. I'll have to scrounge up some pictures of Buffy over the past couple of years for you. Before you know it, Max will be a big boy too!
I hope it gets better. Potty training would be a big plus. We are having such a hard time being consisitant. The only thing we all do the same is when we catch him peeing, we pick him up and bring him outside. But some bring him out the front door, others bring him out the back... Josh thinks he is too young to potty train - everything I've read says that he should have been potty trained before we got him by the breeder - or at least started. He is definately not too young, IMO.
[We were the same way trying to figure out the dining plan our first trip. We also had nice CMs that helped us through it. It all looks delicious too. Can't wait to see what else you ate while there. This is the one thing we forgot to do, take pictures of our food like we did last time.
Yes, the CMs were so nice about helping us... There was just so much food on the dining plan!
[Awesome pixie dust! How nice of them to think of you guys! POFQ looks like a really nice resort from the pictures I have seen. Love the shot of your door!
Can't wait for the next part!
I wish I could put into words just how much we loved POFQ - it was just fabulous. Especially when I was second guessing our resort choice for much of the planning process, then when we got there (and especially after seeing POR and other resorts) - just seeing how big they really were, the girls and I decided that POFQ really was the best resort, and I am not sure we will ever stay anywhere else - unless we stay at the Poly. LOL
I will say that when I clean the floor after an accident, I use bleach.... Actually, I use the clorox clean up spray. I have white counter tops (yuck!!!) and keep a couple of bottles around all the time. I just spray some on the offending area (after removing the offending....stuff...and drying it...) and then clean the floor with it. He would go over and sniff and snort. He really HATES the smell of bleach! LOL! In fact, every time I start cleaning the kitchen he asks to go outside! LOL!
Nini
LOL I do have some of the Clorox clean up spray - I could try that. I purchased a pack of puppy pads yesterday... Now, how do I get him to use those? I better go do a bit of reasearch. If we could just get him to choose one spot in the house - instead of everywhere - I think that would go a big way to get him to potty train.
Great start to your trip. Oh that little Max is the cutest thing!
Can't wait to read all the details about your trip.
He is pretty cute! Like a child - it probably saves us from getting too annoyed at him. LOL
My husband wouldn't know HOW to arrange any of my sewing stuff to give me a hint like that.
I was thinking the exact same thing. LOL
Cheryl, have I told you lately how much I love you?
I just thought it was assumed?
D~ I think that's a chocolate croissant I spy in the background of your food picture. . . Is it?
I think it might be. I tried to make an honest effort to try every dessert they offered.
And that is AWESOME pixie dust from Lisa & Megan! They're so sweet!
I know, it was super sweet.
I was just talking about this summer with DH this morning . . . He says you have to come here, the guest room is yours, because if you don't he's afraid I'll run off to Minnesota
ROFL!!! Tell your DH not to worry - I'd bring you back eventually. You can stay as long as you want, if you bring your new embroidery machine.
D~
I am enjoying the trip report! I love pictures....
Cheryl...LOVE the motto you added under Max's photo!
Glad you're enjoying it so far!

I didn't even notice that Cheryl had written in my text box, until you mentioned it. Too funny. Leave it to Cheryl to make us all laugh!
I know, this has nothing to do with anything, but one of my favorite parts of the trip, was over hearing families at breakfast, trying to decide which park to go into that day.

I knew that we wouldn't have to worry too much that they'd choose our park.
First of all... Yesterday was kind of a sad day. I'd had a decent day at work - I was super busy trying to catch up on things that weren't done while I was gone, it went by really fast. When I got home, Ruf's ashes were on the table, and the vet had done something totally unexpected... After we had gone home that day, they made a paw print from Ruf in clay. It really moved me, because it was something I had wanted to do so badly - but I hadn't gotten around to it. So, of course, I bawled like a baby. We all still miss him so much. And even though Max is a cute distraction - there is no way he will ever replace our Ruf - and we would never want him to. I took a picture of Ruf's clay paw print for you all - because I knew you would understand how much this meant to me. It's just so special.
I thought I would also include a couple more pictures of Max, since even though he is a pile of energy and a pee machine - he is still a puppy and does some very cute things. As I watch Max being a puppy - I often wonder how Rufus was as a puppy... Since we adopted him, we never really knew his actual birthday - we always just guessed - and we always just celebrated it with Victoria's (and every one else's for that matter LOL - he loved cake). Anyways, off to get a few pics of Max over the last couple days...
Playing with Josh in the back yard:
And "helping" Alli with her homework last night.
I need to run to the fabric store this morning, to gather supplies for my next bag. I also need to contact that person to let them know I am starting... I've been such a slacker since we got home.
