Another proof of the crowds shot
check out all the strollers!
Fantasyland lamp for LL
Stacy and I headed over to Fantasyland and the crowds were what we expected. We decided to skip most of it but check out Philharmagic (it had just re-opened the day before after a rehab)
After the show, we were feeling pretty hungry. We contemplated Columbia Harbour House for minute but that menu is really seafood heavy. Im a New Englander so thats fine with me but I didnt want to go somewhere that Stacy had one option. Plus the people waiting for HM were still standing in the restaurant so we skipped it.
Instead we went to
.
Whoo Hooo
yet again something new. Ive never eaten here before. In all our trips, we only eaten at Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bill. Ive always wanted to eat at Pinocchio Village Haus ever since I discovered that this was what those people sitting over IASW were doing! Alas, there were no IASW view seats but we did sit outside and have a leisurely people watching session.
Stacy had a salad. Such a good girl. I had chicken fingers. But I did have a water and apple slices with it instead of soda and fries. Cant be having my new friend Stacy thinking that I only ate processed foods! I did have the Strawberry Cheesecake for dessert. I wa pretty stuffed and couldnt finish it but the bites I did have were pretty good!
After lunch, we headed over to Toontown for a very special meet and greet. We only met one character the whole trip and THIS was it. BUT Im going to need to skip this update. Sorry folks. The only proof of it is contained on my photopass cd. When it arrives, I will take you back to this fun interaction. I will leave you a shot of the light fixture we stared at for an obnoxious amount of time (the sign LIED
big time!) This ended up being the longest line we waited in the whole time!
After that fun, we decided to take a small break and ride the train around the park. I discovered the train on our last trip. I mean, I always knew that it was there but I never thought about how it did provided a nice break mid-afternoon. After standing in a very long character line, our legs were tired and we needed a break. So onto the railroad we went
After a trip around the park, we got back off at Toontown and walked back over to Tomorrowland. We were going to ride the People Mover in honor of our kiddos. But check out the line
.
A line for the PeopleMover???? Really???? See the park levels were insane.
OK, Ill fess up. Those people were actually waiting around because the People Mover was temporarily shut down. Instead, I dragged Stacy onto
She hadnt been on it since she was a kid and frankly, everyone needs to experience that song. Its more catchy that IASW.
Even found a light fixture (or fire hazard) in here for you LL!
Who doesnt love this guy?
After our journey back to the future, we headed back to the castle for the late afternoon show. We got to sit right in front of the stage (which was another break for the old legs!)
Anyone else wish that they had stuck with the fake head Captain Hook and Smee???? These are freaky. Freakier than the talking Mickey.
After the show it was time to head over to Poly for our dinner at Kona. But first we had to battle this crowd
You guess
Did we get to the Poly on time OR did we find something a bit distracting by the flagpole???
