Sew Much Fun...13 of Cinderella's Mice head to WDW! (update 3/10 page 23)

Loving the trip report so far.....and love your pictures! What kind of lens do you have with your Rebel XT? The pictures of Ariel without flash looks great!

Edited to add: I just read more of your trip report after dropping kiddos off from school, and saw that you already answered the questions about lens but just wondering which 300mm lens do you have?

Those pics were taken with my 50mm lens

My telephoto lens is a Sigma (it's 70mm-300mm I think??) The upcoming AK pics were taken with that.

I like your reference to the kingdom keepers as I just got the book from the library to read on the plane to Disney.

I am enjoying reading your trip report and it makes me get excited to see AI and I love seeing the pictures of the parks at night. Very scarry.

I need to keep reading.

It was scary. I thought we were locked in!!! How fun would that have been?!?!

Well! Hurry up and get to it! I am dying to find out if Karen has her pink boa and fanny pack!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Looking forward to more!!!!!

(Oh I have to just say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens too. It ROCKS).

I've only used mine at Disney but it does take great pics. Someday I'll be able to afford a better prime lens. They make a 200mm 2.8!!! Those would take some FAB pics at Disney! You don't think my DH would notice a missing $5 grand right???? ;) :rotfl:

Here are some of the photopass pics that we have missed along the way! (which means that the character meet & greet WILL be my next update!!!)

Well, I thought my next update would be about the rest of our night at MK BUT do to modern technology…I am able to get you the character meet and greet a little earlier than expected (just don’t ask questions)

After lunch we decided to head over to Toontown to meet the fairies. I just had to see Tink. She wasn’t out yet during my last visit in Sept. Stacy and I got into Toontown Faire and noticed immediately that it had been completely re-done. If you are planning a trip and don’t know…only the Fairies and Princesses meet there now. No Pooh and Friends, No Fab 5. The new waiting area is really pretty. I spent enough time there to notice.

The sign said 40 minutes. The sign lied! Stacy and I thought 40 minutes was somewhat reasonable and every other line had been less than the stated time so we figured “why not?” At the 40 minute mark, we hadn’t moved at ALL. Not a single person had been allowed in. In the meantime, the Princess line was flying along. Not us! The line didn’t start moving for almost an hour. You can imagine the cheer when they finally started letting people in. For Tink, they only let 1 or 2 groups at a time. When you think you are going in…you aren’t really. In the 2nd hallway, you are “prepped” for meeting Tink. I won’t ruin the experience but let me say that Stacy and I were required to act like children!

The meet and greet in general was FAB. Clearly all Disney characters get into their characters but the Fairies really eat it up (Tink in particular, who at one point, ran around in room in some kind of tantrum and then sat on the floor and pouted)

First up was Iridessa

She proclaimed that I am a Light Talent Fairy like her and Stacy is an Animal Talent Fairy (*note…Stacy is NOT an animal lover so this was quite funny!)

Next up was Tink. She was quite surprised to see her image on our “Petunias” (as our hoodies were now tied around our waists- leaving Tink’s silhouette on our bottoms!)

I should point out that I am not 6’2…Stacy is just very petite! The proof is in this pic. She’s shorter than Tink!!!

Lastly, we met Silvermist. She was very chatty and asked a lot about our talents

Overall we ended up waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes to meet Tink. Worth it???? Absolutely!!!

I really can not wait to meet the Fairies. I am so glad that you were able to do it and that you thought the wait was worth it. I am so excited to meet them! :yay:

Wow! I LOVE the pictures! Mondern tech is SO great! How'd you do that? J/K

The meet and greet does look like you had a great time and well worth the wait. I didn't realize Stacy was not an animal lover! Me neither!

No...she really doesn't love animals but had a duck on her shirt...so she was proclaimed an Animal Talent Fairy by default!

Note to others...KNOW your talent or they will just GIVE you one!!!

MMMM…food. For a woman who is fasting, now is as good of a time as any to do a food porn post!

Where were we when I was so rudely interrupted by finding a way to post my photopass pics :ssst:???

Oh ya, fighting the crowd up Main St to get to the Poly. Even the CMs were commenting on the crowds. And the fact that every square inch of the sidewalks was already taken up by people waiting for the parade. This was about 5:50pm. The parade wasn’t until 7pm.

When we got up to the front of the park, that’s when we saw it, right under the flagpole…a flash of ruffles! A custom???? We MUST know these people! And in fact, we did. It was Cindee, Jessica, and Tom and their broods. The kids were running around playing tag. We introduced ourselves and I was immediately asked to say “Tiara” That’s right folks: It’s pronounced TEA-ARE-RA, not TEA-AIR-A. Everyone had a good chuckle over my accent and we continued to gab. Until we realized that it was 6:15 and was had a 6:30 ADR!!! So literally we had to run! Sadly nobody thought to take any pictures of this meet up! OH well

I’ve never been late for an ADR. In fact, I’m usually 10-15 minutes early. This was not to be the case. We just missed a monorail so had to wait for another one. Then there was a huge crowding getting on/off at CR and TTC. We pulled up to the Poly at 6:38. Stacy and I ran. We got to the podium at 6:40. Luckily the CM didn’t blink an eyelash at us checking in late.

However, THEN she punished us. They didn’t sit us until 7pm. We were supposed to be back at MK for WISHES at 8pm. So we asked our very accommodating waiter to bring our whole meal and check right away….which he did!

First up was the drinks! This being late business meant Kristine and Stacy needed an adult beverage. We were going to get the Lapu Lapu but decided to go with the Tropical Macaw. It was similar booze but much cheaper

Next up was the sweet bread with Macadamia nut butter. I couldn’t have the butter due to my nut allergy but the bread was really good. The waiter promised to bring me regular butter but we had finished the bread before he got back!

Next up…main course

Stacy got the Almond Coconut Chicken with Salad

I got the Shrimp and Scallops with sticky rice

We both got the same dessert.

Chocolate Banana Crème Brulee. It was a little dish of heaven. If you get this dessert, make sure to dig down to get the chocolate!!!! Stacy and I both missed it at first

I had some time to snap some light pics for LL before we were off running again. Will be see WISHES from inside the MK or from the monorail???
