D, I am so loving your PP pictures
That REALLY was a great investment wasn't it (even if we did have to hunt down the photographers sometimes)

Keep em coming....
Yes - it was a great investment... Ultimately - I consider it a souvenir, but it's just awesome to walk out of there with so many great photos. I really love that Disney does this!
One of the advantages of living in GA (Atlanta area specifically) is that Fabric.com has a warehouse location here. My fabric comes in usually two days, sometimes the next day. Same for Jiffy Shirts! (of course, traffic is a NIGHTMARE!)
Jealous!
Have I told you that I think you are the best!
LOL - we could probably argue all day long about which of us is the bestest.
(by the way, Miss B is about to have a stroke! She can't find the AG dress you made a couple years ago. What she doesn't know is that I found it somewhere it should not have been and put it up. Of course her AG doll in in the bottom of her closet... And yes, I am that kind of a mean mom!)
Nini
Hahaha... Well - I am super flattered that she liked it well enough to know it's missing... But I am that kind of Mom too. Totally understand.
Thanks!
I'm sure the girls appreciated that you let them sleep in. And I absolutely love that little dress V is wearing! And did you braid her hair? So cute! You all looked so bright eyed and ready for adventure. You are all very photogenic. How did you like Ohana's? Was this your first time there? Sorry I can't remember from your previous TR.
Thanks Lois! V's dress is one she found at Hollister last summer - it's one of her favorites, and she's been dreaming of wearing it to 'Ohana since we began trip planning. And yes, I did braid her hair - the girls are fortunate enough to have a mom that can do many braid styles - so they take advantage - A LOT. LOL Lots of practice on my Barbies when I was really young, and then on the Volleyball team in highschool - they'd all line up in the bus seats, and I would work my way forward on the bus on our way to games. LOL
Dan and I are making a quick trip to Virginia to celebrate Miles' 4th birthday and Moriah's 2nd birthday. He has training today, so we can't leave until 5 which will put us into Va around 11PM, much later than we would like. We'll be back home on Sunday evening. Today is our sweet Caroline's birthday. She's one. We did Facetime with her and our DD Emily yesterday while she opened the gifts we had sent, which was so fun! Now that they live in Colorado, we don't get to celebrate with them. Sad. But thank goodness for technology that gives us a chance to at least see and talk to them!
I hope you have a wonderful and safe trip - Happy birthday to Miles, Moriah and Caroline - WOW - so many birthdays so close together... No excuse to forget.
I love modern technology - we do the same thing with Thomas in The Netherlands - it's not the same as holding them and loving them, but it's better than nothing - so I will take it.
Sounds like you were very productive yesterday. Good for you. You best gear up for the flurry when you open slots for your bags Rest up over the weekend so you can deal with the mad rush. Praying for Josh's back to get better!
Hahaha! Yah - it will be crazy - I am sure! Josh isn't allowed to do anything this weekend - except ice his back.
ETA: D~ I posted some t-shirts I made for Dan and I on the DISboutique thread in case you wanted to see. I know you don't always have time to read that thread, but I also know you like to see what we make. Page 88 if you get a chance.
Thanks for letting me know Lois - I am going to try to head over there this morning.
I just love seeing your sewing room.
Thanks! I love spending time in there too - it's such a happy room.
You all look so nice for 'Ohana! V's orchid dress looks perfect for wearing around the Poly.
Awww... Thanks!
210 photopass pics already. I'm interested to see how many you had by the end of the trip. I can't remember if you already said.
We didn't end up with as many as we usually do... I always want more. Until I have to edit - LOL Then it's such a tedious process.
An embroidery hoop... that's ingenious! I was wondering how the characters were able to sign pillowcases.
It worked out OK - it might have been easier with a small clipboard - I may try that next time.
I wish so badly that Ohana dinner would be a character meal!!! It would be awesome to have a Lilo and Stitch character meal, but we are just not big breakfast people at all.
Oooh we are HUGE breakfast people - LOL We love our breakfast food around here.
Glad V got that Lilo autograph! The only other place I have seen her "out and aboot" is at AK a time or two....and the lines are always LoooooonG! I just love that movie, it's one of my faves.
Hahhaha... "out n' aboot" We did not see them in AK at all. I really think that 'Ohana is the only place to see them at the moment - however - I didn't check with Kenney's site to verify.
i LOVE V's hair!!!!
this is just so adorable and glad V got to get everyone's signature.
Thanks! I am glad she did too!
wish they will make a Thor monorail.. then i can say i rode Thor...
ROFL!
i REALLY want to find someone to make Meg a Lilo dress I just think it's adorable!!!
I may be able to find someone for you.... Let me know.
We loved our 'Ohana breakfast. I remember having the Mickey waffles but the best part was the character interaction. It wasn't very busy so the characters kept coming by. The kids loved that. There was a couple next to us without kids and they tried to tell Stitch that they already did a picture with him and that he could move on. Stitch did not like that and kept pestering the man until he got up and took another picture. We thought it was funny.
That is awesome! And super funny! So glad you had a great character experience there!
Fun update, D.
First, Mo was talking about your picture of Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain...we said Mark does the pose better on my PTR.
Hahhaha - now I got it - I was a bit confused.
I love your update. We don't do Ohana for breakfast (and I won't give away what we thought of dinner until I get to that part of my TR) because I don't care for scrambled eggs and family style and we know I'm not a fan of Stitch). That's awful that you had to wait for your food for so long. But, like you said, in a way at least you didn't get interuppted with the characters and trying to eat.
Wow! I can see why you don't do breakfast there. LOL Yah - in the end it was nice that our meal wasn't constantly interrupted - in a way, I wish more restaurants would do it this way.
The pictures of the girls with the characters are absolutely awesome! You can just see how excited Victoria is in each and every one of them.
Thanks! Yes - she LOVES her characters!
The pillow case idea is genius! That breakfast looks amazing! I can't wait to see what you guys do on your day off. We did half day DTD and half day resort for our day off. It was honestly one of our favorite days!
Thanks! The pillowcase was actually V's (last minute) idea - she saw it on Pinterest and requested one... I know that Chiara has made them for her kids and so has Nini... They are really cool.
Hmmmm... You'll find out.
I absolutely love your try and your daughters and your bags. What a great sense of humor and fun Btw I have that same 1963 Singer machine, it was my mother's, but it doesn't work. But I have all the attachments if you need them. My mom had a featherlight before she got her modern machine too.
Boy you sure had a lot of dismeets. I hope to meet some disers when we go in Dec.
Thanks! I am glad you are enjoying our TR. I really enjoy writing them!
Oooh - What's wrong with your machine? Do you know? I love mine - but it's having a few issues of it's own lately - I am a bit nervous about it, because I am very attatched to the thing. What kind of attachments do you have? I think I have most of them - but I might be missing a few.
I am not sure I could ever sew on a Featherweight machine - they are beautiful and cute... but Victoria has a Singer 99, which is a 3/4 sized machine and that is super hard for me to sew on - it's just so small compared to mine... and the Featherwight is a 1/2 sized machine - so it's even smaller. Just not sure I could do it. LOL But I know that lots of people do, and I know lots of people who pay BIG $$ for one.
Headed back to DHS and Day2 for a minute. I love your PP pictures with Tink and in front of the castle. I can't believe Sariah took to ToT so well. I love the one of all you girls blowing kisses in DHS, so cute. What a fun girls day!!
Thanks Liz - they did turn out pretty good.
I know - I can't believe she did either! So proud of her.
And yes, that is one of my favorite photos!
Those Jessie flip flop decorations are just the cutest (and your nails are adorable). Curse that water park pool bottom
Thanks! I still think the nail guy who did my nails did Mickey's head shape too big and kind of a "not Mickey" shape... LOL But they are so fun - aside from the scrapes, they are still holding up really well.
How wonderful that you got to meet Shannon and her family.
Yes! I was so excited!
Love V's cute little dress for 'Ohana. What a great view. Looks like a very fun character meal.
Yes, we did have a great view... We do love 'Ohana for breakfast.
Hmmmmm, a day off at Disney????
Hahaha... Is there even such a thing as "a day off" at Disney? Not for us. Hahaha
Random notes asi read.
I have to agree with you on not going to Disney without doing a watermark again. We had such fun at bb too!
Yah - I think we are up to a 12 day trip, if we want to do everything we'd like to do... It's getting pretty outrageous. LOL
I have to say riverside food court even at is busiest isnt too noisy. Not as ad as pop! We were at HS when you were at riverside I think.
Yah - I can imagine that POP would be so much louder. I think the fact that Riverside is carpeted is a huge bonus.
We did 'Ohana breakfast on our day off too! It was a great way to start a day of relaxing. We had such great meal there! It was a highlight of our trip.
I agree - it was a great start to our day! We love that meal and the Poly.
I have to say the attention my DD got from all her customs really made the trip even more special. I think the CMs really go out of there way when they see people decked out! We aren't going back until 2015 and I am already planning outfits for my DD.
I agree completely - I am not sure I could ever go to Disney again with out custom headgear/bags... It was really sprinkled with Pixie Dust every where we went. It was magnificant!
I know what you mean... I've already started sewing customs and ordering head gear for our next trip - I am convinced it's a sickness. LOL
Ahhh 'Ohana, one of my favorite breakfasts. We had a poor service experience there a few years ago with very slowwww service but I do love the food - especially Mickey waffles.
And I am all about the sausage. LOL I am not sure we have ever had great service there - it's kind of to the point where we expect bad service. Which is OK with me - because then the tightwad in me doesn't have to tip as much.
That was a great photo to make your avatar.
Thanks!
Your Jessie bag is adorable. Now I can see how perfectly you are themed with your bag and flip flops
Hahaha... Thanks! It was fun planning my outfits. I know my girls were probably a bit embarassed with me - but we had a good time.
So glad V got the autograph. Her outfit is adorable!
Thank you! Me too!
**********************************************************
Well, I worked really hard in my sewing room yesterday... I managed to completely finish my custom order bag. I have the entire wallet to do this morning though, and I should have pictures up sometime this afternoon.
I also received more fabric in the mail yesterday.
And my new patterns came for one (or two) of my side projects... So, I started on a muslin of one of them last night - which I am glad I did - as I need to go up a size... Which makes no sense - because I went up a size as it was from the measurment I took and I used the proper seam allowance.

I don't sew clothing very often... but part of it is, I think, the top for this particular item has to be white, and since this item didn't come with a pattern for a lining piece - I had to invent one.

I am not sure - like I said - I don't so clothing very often, so this is a VERY new learning experience for me. And NO - I am
NOT going to start making clothing... This is something fun just for us - so don't get any ideas. LOL
So, I plan to finish the wallet for my custom order this morning. Then I am going to work on a second muslin... With any luck - I may be able to cut into some hoarded fabric by the end of the day?

I can't wait to show you all some of these projects that have been stewing in my brain!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!
D~
