Got SEVERAL questions for you!!!

* Can you can see the fireworks from the dining room at OHana?

* Is it possible to book two different restaurants at the same time...so you can have some flexibility? Anyone ever done that???

* Where can I find out any limitations for the dining plan? (exceptions for the individual restaurants)

* Do I need advance reservations for Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney?

Thanks in advance...
I am sure I will think of some more as time goes on....

Yes you can see fireworks from Ohana's, they pipe in the music, sit in NW corner of main dining room. It's great!

(This is the only answer I have)

We viewed the fireworks after dining at Narccoossee's and it was wonderful! they have a dock with over hang.

About the double booking - I just called to change some of my ADRs for next week. She told me that once I made other ADRs for dinner the old dinner ADRs would be cancelled. So I'm guessing you can only do one ADR around the same time.

Ok...but what if you do it under another name? The first one is in MY name, the second one in my husband's name???

Not even sure I am going to do it...but I may give it a try....

You can do this. As long as you did not need to leave credit card info when you made reservation. (this often happens with fancier places to eat ...and when/if you do not show up they charge you a certain fee) However, for most restaurants you can do this...and then you should give the restaraunt you did not go to a call so they can give your table to someone else.

When you call to make reservations they will go over this with you as you make your plans. You get one snack per person per day, one counter service per person per day and one sit down dinner a night. However, some restaraunts use up 2 sit down credits. (for instance, the brown Derby at mgm uses 2, while the sci fi dine in theatre only uses 1)

* Do I need advance reservations for Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney?
just so you know the rainforest cafe at downtown disney is NOT covered on dining plan. not sure about one in animal Kingdom.

I hope this helps! ~smiles4life

There is another active thread about double booking. The bottom line is that if WDW catches it, they will cancel the reservations. The other issue is one of fairness--is it right for you to make double ADRs knowing that there is another family who won't be able to make one because you made two.

Rainforest Cafe is not on the dining plan. I don't believe that they take ADRs.

The best place to find current restrictions on the DDP is this board. Do remember that the fine print is that the plan is subject to change. Recently it seems that the snack offerings were expanded--a positive change.

Teppanyaki seems to be the restaurant with the most exceptions. Wolfgang Puck's is another one. Most of the others appear to have none. We have personally experienced the restrictions at Teppanyaki--no lobster, the only appetizers are soup or salad (no sushi), no lobster for an entree. The only way to be sure at an individual restaurant is to ask the server before ordering...again, even these very up-to-date boards may have out-of -date information.

Exactly...I would feel bad about this.

Thanks for the sense knock to the old CONSCIENCE! ;)

I don't know WDW's official stance on it, but I think it's rude. If another family is trying to plan their vacation but can't get ADR's yet you're holding double bookings that's not fair IMO.
