I will say though, if you have ever seen them being made on Unwrapped on the Food Network, they are so popular that they start making them right after last Easter for this Easter.

That's how my mom likes them! I don't care for them but they are made at the Just Born factory a few minutes from my house so PA Peeps should always be fresh!

Okay, I'm beginning to think that the company has caught on to all you stale peep lovers and maybe they're just making stale peeps now!!!

I want FRESH peeps! I spent fifty cents on each pack of ten little peeps. That's one dollar that went to stale peeps! Worse than the loss of my dollar was the loss of my enthusiasm when I bit into one of the rock hard peeps.

I was so excited and then...

I'm going on a mission today to find fresh peeps. I'm going to squeeze them until I find nice, soft, squishy ones!

I only like fresh peeps, too. I bought a huge package of pink peeps on Monday, and I'll check them out tonight. How did I wait that long, you ask? Because I ate a whole bag of Reese's mini eggs in the mean time. That darned Easter / Valentine's / Halloween / Christmas candy!

Maybe we can do a peeps exchange?

LOl, I do the same thing! I love them stale - but only if I make them that way. I would return a stale PEEP directly from the store.

For the Halloween candy exchange in 2004, I sent Jen(blueeyes101817) about five boxes of peeps.


Another way that I make them stale is to open them and than stick em in the freezer.

I am happy to report that my mission was successful today and I found FRESH PEEPS!!!! I just finished off a box of five of the plump little chickadees.

Oh, and I only eat the yellow ones. The other colors are just wrong.

Oh heck, while we're on the subject of Effingham, I used to hear a commercial on the radio about Effing ham, as in the food you eat. At first, I thought it was a joke, but I guess there really is a company that sells Effing hams. Every other word was about Effing this and Effing that, but it made perfect sense in the context of the product. Weird!
