Yea....

So if y'all see somebody that you think looks like they've been inebriated for about a week.... that's probably me!

Just kidding, really... I'm not big on drinking. But I did find out that you get free drinks flying first class (our flight over there will be my first time flying first class.) My mom kinda got upset when I called and asked her if that was true :rotfl2: I plan on taking advantage of that at least once on the flight. ;)

Has anyone checked out the "Taking the Magic to the Mediterranean -- 14 day Repo Cruise!" cruise meet thread?

Boy are they :chat: Chatty Cathys (and Gabby Garys, to be P.C.) - 543 pages:earseek:

I feel sorry for any newbies trying to catch up - they'll miss the boat!

Getting closer!

You think that one's got some talkers...I gave up on trying to keep up with our 2008 EB repo cruise meets a long time ago:

3,808 pages so far (57,117 plus posts) and the cruise is 15 months away!

I need to update my tickler... BUT I'm getting so excited...

I went luggage shopping this past weekend. We bought our bags pre-911 so they are quite heavy and they are black. Eventually, I ended up buying on ebags but I got moss green and blue luggage. As a result with 4 bags we'll be able to pack an extra 40 lbs. I thought that was substantial. Hopefully, they'll be as durable as our last set.

I'm still looking for a shoulder bag or backpack to tour with. I have a backpack that I use all the time but it might be too bulky. I did find this bag. What are the other women using for a bag on tours?

I planned on bringing a bag I got in Disney World. Just an ordinary bag. All my valuables (money, passport, credit cards) will be in my money belt. It's nice travelling with a 16 year old, as she doesn't require much stuff and can carry her own stuff without complaining (too much :rolleyes1 that is). When we tour we like to travel lite .. Just sunscreen, camera, water bottle, brush.

Well????? What color(s) did you get and how'd they look?

Sorry, I hadn't actually opened the package when I wrote that. We were waiting for DD to go to bed.
DH ordered a natural. I ordered a blue for me and a pink for DD. They all look great. I also got a tote, just in case I need something to carry my stuff around. I was hoping my second order would be waiting for me today but I guess I have to wait. Once I see the second set, I can compare the two shops.

Thank you again for sharing with us. Everything for the trip is hidden from DD so I can't take anything out when she is around :rotfl2:

I finally got my Med DVD today. I know some of you got yours a while ago, so I'm trying to figure out if mine took so long because I'm a first time cruiser, or because I'm from Canada? Can any other first time cruisers let me know when they got theirs? Thanks.

Hello,
I have a 4 year old daughter who is not wild about being left behind. :rotfl2: I am thinking this might be a problem to get any adult time. :coffee: I am hoping to meet any others with the same situation, with a daughter around 4 that we can hook up so the can play together and want to be in the kids club and not cry for the parents. :scared: Crying will put a damper on my fun. Anyone needing the same thing?:thumbsup2

I am bringing along my camera bag and dh will probably carry a light backpack with hand wipes, sunscreen, a clean shirt/shorts for our boys, drinks, snacks, a pad of paper/markers for the kids to occupy themselves on the bus during longer excursions. The shorter excursions we'll probably just stick to the camera bag/video camera and some hand wipes. I was thinking of buying that Mediterranean DCL kit in the booklet they sent that has water bottles/hip packs for the boys to lug their own drink/misc. stuff.

I just checked the U.S. passport website and it's FINALLY showing that they received it...9 weeks after applying!! It says we should receive it with in 10 weeks of applying...it will be a great peace of mind to finally have them in our hands.

Lucky you... My kids are 6 and 9 years old so I'm sure I'll be carrying their stuff. I really just want to use my backpack as it is easier to carry. I think, I am and I'll just make sure dh stands behind me in pickpocket situations. Do you think that will work? He'll be wearing the money belt with our important stuff. But I'll probably carry the water & cameras. Dh will also probably have the fanny pack that will have the video camera & 2 water bottles.

I was thinking of buying one of those little locks they sell for suitcases to keep my outside pocket zipper shut on my camera bag.... I think if someone is that set to steal they are going to do so regardless. It doesn't hurt to help deter though. When we lived in Sicily my dad always kept his wallet in his front pocket and my mom always wore her purse strap diagonally and held in the front. I remember many women carrying a wad of money in their bras and whipping the money out when making purchases. I also recall people getting pickpocketed when I was young on our outings in Sicily and Rome. I remember people on mopeds snatching purses while driving by and others "bumping" into people and running with their wallets. It wasn't very often, but those stick out. I think we'll be pretty safe on the tours with such a big group of people. Hopefully Disney's added some extra plain clothes security people to hang around.

I have a 4 year old daughter!!! Definetely in the same boat. Last cruise i stayed with her for a while in the kids club and that seemed to help. She sems pretty excited about going this time. I remind her that her "friends" ie Princesses etc love to come and visit the kids club, which they do!! Would love to introduce them! Everyone needs some adult time.
