"Seven Seven 07" 20070707-11 Night Mediterranean Cruise

I was thinking of buying one of those little locks they sell for suitcases to keep my outside pocket zipper shut on my camera bag.... I think if someone is that set to steal they are going to do so regardless. It doesn't hurt to help deter though. When we lived in Sicily my dad always kept his wallet in his front pocket and my mom always wore her purse strap diagonally and held in the front. I remember many women carrying a wad of money in their bras and whipping the money out when making purchases. I also recall people getting pickpocketed when I was young on our outings in Sicily and Rome. I remember people on mopeds snatching purses while driving by and others "bumping" into people and running with their wallets. It wasn't very often, but those stick out. I think we'll be pretty safe on the tours with such a big group of people. Hopefully Disney's added some extra plain clothes security people to hang around.

Well, that is perfect!!! Actually, I already have some locks from my old suitcases. I'm definitely gonna do that because a backpack is way more comfortable than an over the shoulder type bag. Thanks...

I have a 4 year old daughter!!! Definetely in the same boat. Last cruise i stayed with her for a while in the kids club and that seemed to help. She sems pretty excited about going this time. I remind her that her "friends" ie Princesses etc love to come and visit the kids club, which they do!! Would love to introduce them! Everyone needs some adult time.

My daughter does not like characters, something I didn't even think of before booking this cruise. She loves the princesses though, we live near Disneyland (although she's never been) so we did a character breakfast there recently at the Hotel to see how she would do. She wanted to crawl under the table for Balou, Goofy and Pluto. She warmed up to Dale and loved Wendy and Belle. I plan on taking her to Disneyland in June just to see characters again.
I think she will do OK eventually in the kids club, but it would be great for her to have a friend to also look forward to, maybe we can meet when we get on the boat. I plan on arriving early to get settled and then I wanted to spend some time at kids club with her before all the festivities begin. My daughters name is Hannah. I have an 8 yr old son too, he loves kids club of any type, always has.

What do you mean by face characters? Meaning the ones that don't have their face covered (princesses)?, I do think she will warm up to it and enjoy it. You are exactly correct...face characters do not have costumed heads like the "fur characters" or fully costumed characters have. Most look like ordinary people children see except they are dressed in Disney character costumes with wigs/make up. Face characters also speak, unlike fur characters.

From many searches for Barcelona family restaurants, Mesón David keeps popping to the top of the list. It sounds like a fun type of place and it appears to have wide variety of choices on the menu. I was thinking of taking my family there for dinner there on the 6th.

Their website states that they accept groups. If there is interest, maybe we arrange to meet there?

Hi John ... Is there a group still planning to meet for dinner at Mesón David for the 6th. If so, count me in!!! I did a quick search and it looks pretty central. I don't get in until 4:30 and would like to take a quick side trip to La Sagrada Familla. The restaurant hours on Friday are 12:30pm to 16:00 - 20:00 to 1am. I'm suggesting 20:00 (8pm) for supper, as it hopefully won't be so crowded. We should probably get a list of who wants to go, and consider making a reservation some how? Too bad they don't have a contact us button? Anyways for anyone interested here is there website Mesón David

We wanted to go too but our flight gets in late on that day. So sadly I doubt we'll be able to join you guys unless at the last minute. My kids are 6 and 9 years old so I'm not sure if they would make it until 8 pm at night. So I was thinking of joining you guys if my kids are up to it. I don't want the table guests to have to deal with cranky kids

I am planning on taking my family there for dinner Friday evening and I'd loved to see it filled with DISers!

Maybe someone (APinCA, Shercara, denise, din, monstro) who is arriving earlier in the week could call and make reservations. Please? I agree, 20.00hrs (8:00 p.m.) would be best.

Woohoo... Disney fixed the reservation process for excursions. You can see what tours are available even if you have one booked. AWESOME!!! Looks like they have a lot availability. So you 75 day people need to go and check it out!
