Well I just ordered my TravelSmith day bag and we are planning a "practice" packing session to see what we "want" to take and what we "need" to take. I plan to jetison all but the essentials for this trip. I want as much room (and weight) as possible available for the return trip. I hate the idea of paying for excess baggage.

Do any of you experience Disney Cruisers know if the power outlets on board are US Standard? Or will I need an adapter?

Hi Matthew ~

That's a good question! The Disney cruise ships have a U.S. Standard outlet with two plugs visible at the desk. Although I've not seen it, there have been reports that one plug is also available behind the television next to the desk. Many cruisers bring a power outlet to plug in at the desk so they can charge many things at once.

There are also plugs in the bathroom that say something like "shavers only" and do not have enough wattage for a regular hair dryer.

OK, My DW and I have picked our "favorite" shore excursions for our family. Then, we added up the cost for a family of four. Now we just have to wait until April 23rd to see if we can get them. Since this is our first cruise, we have to wait until the 75 day mark. I hope that the most popular tours (Rome) aren't sold out by then.

I sent an email to the cruise line and asked when the phone lines would be open on Sunday and when we could go on-line. The reply I got was that the phone lines open at 9am est but for faster service the on-line booking starts at 12:01 am!! So how many are up for a late night???
