I "borrowed" MJGirl's ticker for now until I have more time to work on it again.

Some people were telling me that I should use Ryanair and fly from Paris to Barcelona instead. My husband isn't much into small planes though so I don't know............

I just can't see flying across the world like that and not getting to see Paris. I also wanted so badly to see Venice, but that will have to be another trip.

I will keep everyone posted on what I find out in case anyone else is considering a side trip to Paris first.

Hey a Teen looking for anyother teens going on this cruise. I am a high school student *08* and i am a lot of fun to be with . i am still friends from ppl from the last cruise . (that was a year ago) cant wait to hear from anyone.

I'm happy to report that our DS decided he will be able to join us on the cruise! I'll be calling DCL first thing in the morning to add him. His birthday falls in the middle of the trip, so look for those wonderful servers bringing him a cake at dinner! Now, if I can only get our DD to commit, the whole family will be onboard!

Congrats DebT on convincing DS to go ... and Happy Birthday in advance to him! My DD's birthday will be a month after we get back. I tried to get the cruise during her birthday, but couldn't get an SPH room during that cruise. Got 1 on our cruise, I thought about giving up the SPH room, but everyone on the DIS board told me to keep it!

I can't believe the cruise is getting closer.

MJGirl, thanks for the cheer! (And I'm sure your DD didn't mind the extra post added to her tally. Oops! )

From what I've read on these boards, you definitely don't want to give up the SPR. You can still tell the servers you'd like to celebrate your DD's birthday on any night you choose. This way, she'll have two birthday celebrations - one with all of us DIS Friends and Cruise Family and one at home!

My DH and I were talking about the cruise again tonight during dinner, and he made the comment that time is passing by so fast the cruise will be here before we know it!

Hey i am a High School student *08* looking for other teens who are going on the cruise.

We're in!!

My DW, DD (7) & DD (9). This will be our 1st cruise! We are DVC members since '93. However, we never used our points anywhere except WDW & once at DL until a couple of years ago. We went to London and Paris. We stayed at DLP while in Paris, of course. I hesitate to say this, but if you have never been to DLP before and are used to WDW or DL, you might be a bit disappointed. We had fun, but aside from the unique parts of the park, we found it to be less than we expected. The good part was that it was WAY less crowded than WDW for the same time of year (July).

This being our first cruise, we will have a lot of questions. I hope the gang here will offer some advice. I understand that they might have special airfare available from major cities. How is everyone planning to get to Barcelona?

Welcome Aboard, EPCOT_VA! Congratulations on your 1st Disney Cruise! You're in for quite a treat! I'm sure all of us on the DIS boards will be happy to answer whatever questions we can!

As far as getting to Barcelona, we've decided to just let Disney get us there. We considered booking our own airfare but, by the time we add in a hotel night's stay and transfers, I think it will come out about the same as what Disney's charging us. Plus, if anything would happen to delay our flights, Disney will be responsible for getting us on the ship.

Hi Everyone!

Since our son's don't know about that we are taking this cruise, I am trying to figure out a way to surprise them at Christmas. I searched for Disney Cruise on ebay, and so far have "won" a Disney Beanie Baby Set with a stuffed "Magic" and 4 or 5 charaters, a set of Disney Cruise playing cards and a DCL drink/can cozie!

I am planning on wrapping them up and putting them under the tree, along with some items from Italy ( any ideas??)

I am open to any suggestions you might have on how to surprise them. ( ages 12 & 17)

I am getting excited and can't wait to tell them!

Gosh Sherri, I don't know how you can keep this a secret for so long!

Gift suggestions: you can go to your local bank and order Italian, French, and Spainish currency for spending money, travel guide books, and toiletry bags full of travel-size items.

Here's an idea on how to "tell" your boys on Christmas - buy a map of the Mediterranean Sea area that shows Italy, Sardinia, Sicily, France, and Spain, and highlight all the ports we're going to visit. Glue it to thin foam board, let it dry, then cut it into puzzle pieces. Wrap up the puzzle and let them open it on Christmas with their gifts and wait to see how long it takes before they are curious enough to put it together! Then post their reactions here on the DIS boards!!!
