I need to make three reservations (2 at OKW, 1 at BCV) for Dec. My seven month window opens while I am scheduled to be out of the country and unable to contact Member Services. Can I make the requests with member services in advance and have them process them at the 7 month mark? Can I have someone call on my behalf? Please advise.

You can certainly put in the request via the email system. But, I have to say, I did this back in January for my August trip. I called on my lunch about it and there was a note on my account for the change but it had not been done yet. The CM on the phone took care of it and then "cancelled" out the email information so it told me that they would have gotten to it, but didn't get to it right away and who knows exactly when it would be done.

If you use the reservation request form on the member website prior to the window opening, they will ignore the request.

In order for someone else to call, that person would need to be either a purchaser (listed on the deed) or an associate member.

You are in a pickle. December is tough enough, but not being able to book it right at 7 months if you couldn't book it at 11 months out is not good.

Your only option like erionm said would be to make someone an associate and they would have to make the reservation. But if that person has no experience in doing that, it might be a nightmare.

I do this all the time because I teach, and can't call in the middle of class. I just have my mom, or my husband's mom call and pretend to be me (gasp!) They ask for information, I think the member number, the address, and phone number? Then they can just make the request for you.

Just make sure that they know exactly what you want, and have contingency plans. The BCV reservation will likely require a wait list. Also, that is a guess at the security questions, I would make a trial call first and see what info they want.

They also want the last four digits of your SSN....I know I wouldn't have anyone but DH or I call.

OP get an international cell phone and make the call yourself.

I think the info they request depends on when you purchased...we bought in 2001 and they have never asked for our ss info just our member number name address and phone number

Can't get an international cell phone; we will be at sea and a satellite call is over $10 per minute. I'm trying to have my sister in law added as an associate so that she can legally make the call. Failing that I will have someone call on my behalf and pretend to be me.

Make sure the caller has your ss #, address, phone number, membership number, names and addresses of guests, ages, dates and back up dates.
Sometimes they ask for an address and sometimes not.

I guess that you will have made some type of reservations at your home resort just in case.

Lately, I have also found that they want to verify my email address also, I was told that they have to do it everytime. When I call they want my member #, name, and last 4 of my SS#. I'm sure you could find a close family member that you can trust with that info.

You can add her yourself on the member website.

No they don't have to be..

They just have to pretend.. If they know the member name, addresss and last 4 digits of your SS# Member services will never know it's not you. (Trust me, been there, done that)

I always get asked Member ID, Name, Last 4 of SSN and then if my address and email address has changed.

Just give your stand-in all this info, and give them detailed plans along with contingency A, B and C (for example the resort you want is available but not the villa size, etc).
