Does anyone have a recent list of the programs/activities offered at AKL? I searched online but didn't come up with anything later than 2010. I just want to get a feel for what is offered and what times.

We have an off day during the AKL portion of our split stay, and I was trying to decide whether to schedule a Pirate Cruise for DS or just hang around the resort and do the activities there for the morning.

I'm pretty sure someone was planning on posting one as soon as they got back. I'd have to go back and check when that was though. Time seems to be escaping me lately.

Not that I remember. It wouldn't turn on when entering the room after an absence.

It only went to 102 yesterday. But mother Nature wasn't done with us yet... we had a powerful line of thunderstorms fly through here last night. It was accompanied by either a powerful downburst or a tornado. Buildings were destroyed and there were some injuries. Enough, already!

I am excited . This will be my DD's first trip to Disney World, she will be 17 months when we go. I figured since my DH likes animals so much that he would really like to stay at the animal kingdom lodge, so while my DD naps he can see the animals.

We are going the 8th of Jan to the 13th of Jan staying Concierge. This trip is titled Mommy is coming home, Mommy is coming home, as I am currently in Afghanistan. This is our little tradition as when my DH came home from Iraq we went to disney world, so I am coming home form a deployment and now its my turn.

I need to go to my PTR and update it .

Thank you to you and your husband for serving our Country. We will be at Disney the same time as you January 5-12, staying at AKV Kidani January 10-12.

I made my ADR this morning for our January 2013 trip and the two nights I tried making an ADR for Sanaa (Jan 10 and 11) there was no availability. Is this normal for Sanaa? I really wanted to try it out. Maybe they haven't opened that restaurant yet? I might try to get a lunch ressie instead. I was just surprised that was the only ADR I could not get this morning. Any thought, advise, suggestions?

...oh no , it's definitely open. I suggest that you keep trying - perhaps something will open up. If you still can't get a ressie, when you check in, mention it to the front desk, or go directly to Sanaa after checking in and see if they can help you out....good luck!

...the reason why I gave that suggestion was because we were in a similar circumstance. We were staying at Jambo House and we ALWAYS make ADR's for Boma when visiting WDW, but didn't have any luck doing so. I knew that my middle DS would be very disappointed (it's one of his favorite places to eat at WDW - oh, and BTW, today is his 24th birthday! ). We arrived and every morning I'd call 'Reservations' in the morning to try to get a ressie, but to no avail. Finally, by the 3rd or 4th day, I decided to go directly to the check-in desk at Boma, specifically mentioning that we were guests at AKL. Lo and behold, they were able to squeeze us in! I definitely think that the fact that I showed up in person helped.....

Happy Birthday to your son. I can't even imagine my kids in their 20s. I hope within the next 185 days I get into Sanaa if not I will show up on the January 10th and let them know we are staying at AKL for the next two nights.

Keep checking! Its our fav restaurant in all of WDW, and I cant even count how many times I've eaten there, and it's only been open 3 years We were able to get reservations last month, and thats summer...Keep trying for sure..Its not normal for them to not have anything Try lunch instead? maybe you'll get a seat by the window and can watch the animals
And if by some weird circumstance nothing is avail, see if there is seating @ the bar when you get there, same menu @ in the dining room.
