Thank you Wendy. It sounds like it would be perfect for me. My husband wants it with the cellular as he things it would make a great GPS when we are renting cars. I am leaning for just wifi, however he thinks you can turn the cellular part on and off for a month at a time? Sounds good if true, only have it on when we are traveling.

I don't know about the cellular thing - as for turning it on and off like that? I honestly never heard of that - not saying you can't do it, just never heard of it. When we need GPS - we just use our tomtom if we are in my car - dh has it built into his car. Good Luck - again, I don't think you can go wrong with getting an ipad!!

....I will be CRYING MY EYES OUT - it's my 'baby' that's graduating!!

We've only stayed at Pop, so I was excited that we were going to stay at CSR. I don't know what made me check, but I ended up being able to book DVC points for AKL studio villa SAVANNA view for just $40 more than what we were going to pay for our room at CSR!!!!!!!! I'm over the moon about this, I LOVE AKL and never thought we would ever be able to afford to stay there.

Thanks Sue, I agree with you. I didn't know about the camera adaptor part so must get one of those. How great to update to such a small unit and have it all saved until you get home.

Thank you Corinna, the WiFi sound just perfect to me and I really like the size and light weight. Notes app hmmm sounds like something I would use in many ways. Maybe even a first Trip Report????

My boss says you can buy the cellular access as needed, so I think your hubby is right.
I love the SD memory card adapter for my photos. It's so quick. I spent my flight home going through photos and editing out the bad ones. It really made the plane flight go quick.
It's so much easier to carry this than the portable DVD player I used to bring with me, plus I can do stuff online now and keep up with my emails.
I'm going to look into that Notes app.
I also bought the TV adapter so I can watch movies on the bigger screen of the TV. I brought it with me on my last trip, but I never got around to trying it out. Maybe my next trip, just so I can see if it works as well as I hope.
This is such a useful tool in such a small package.

I would have to say no. You have to park at TTC, then get on the monorail or the ferry over to MK. You probably wouldn't save any time -- in fact, it might even be longer if you use a car.

The MK bus will pick up at Kidani first, then Jambo, then head straight to MK. (about 15-20 minutes)

Walk to MK from TTC? No you can't. Yes, there are parking trams that will take you from parking lot to the Main TTC where you can either take the monorail or boat to MK.

Last year we still had our rental car from our Ft. lauderdale portion of our trip for our 1st day in WDW. We stayed at POR and decided that night to drive to MK. Big mistake. It def. takes longer to drive to MK then take WDW transportation. You have to park at TTC, wait for tram, wait for monorail, then you finally get there.

I have never rented a car for WDW, and prefer to save my $ for other things, since I can get free park transportation. We fly into Ft. Lauderdale first to visit family, then drive up to WDW. After check in we return car rental. Once or twice I've kept car for another day, just to go grocery shopping for room snacks, and breakfast stuff, or because of crazy rental prices, it was cheaper to keep the car another day.

Laura I agree, I think it would be even longer to do the car thing. I clocked it a few times from MK to Jambo House and it was regularly 18 minutes.

We will be down there for a short trip during Columbus Day weekend 10/4-10/8 and going to MNSSHP for the first time

ITA with everyone. We always rent a car as it is the only way for us with the kids but if you are renting just to save time.... No the bus is quicker and drops you off right at the park.

Good afternoon everyone...

Well work and been work this week. I gave 6 presentations and then exhibited all one day at the Air Force Academy. My feet are hurting from being on them for so long, but not at the surgery site, so I think that is a big change and I am really happy that it is feeling so much better.

I have missed you guys this week also, and I think you all for worrying about me and being concerned. I hope I am making a difference in what I do (for work) and that all my time is not wasted.

Most of the Cadets here are just truly smart wonderful kids that are growing into some fine adults and soldiers.

I have been to Quantico, Naval Post Graduate School and West Point, and I can say that the United States has a very fine group of cadets.


Anyway, I will be heading up to Denver tonight and catching the first thing smoking to Baltimore tomorrow.....

So I should be back to my normal routine of DIS shortly!
