Thanks. I can't believe how close this is getting and I still have so much to do. I am doing the group Navigator, I still have not finished my Fish Extender gifts, I need to prep the jewellery workshops and I have yet to make our dinner reservations for Disneyland and this is just the vacation stuff. I don't even want to think about what I still have to do at work. Still, only 18 work days left.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday to you and DH! Since you have stayed there before I am sure you know all the great things AKL and Kadani offer. We have stayed there for every one of our trips since 2004, however this year we are going to do a resort only day. We have booked the Sanaa lunch with an animal specialist, plan on doing the wine tasting and will get to the fire pit early enough to get a seat to really enjoy the storytelling. All things that will be new to us.

I am lovin' AKL, here for the first time today phenomenal! Our room was ready when we checked in at 10:30am! and we were upgraded to Savanah view from standard view. We own at VB (also beautiful) but I think I like this place more!

Normally that would be precisely what I would do. However, the two days before we fly to Los Angeles, we have a delegation from our Swiss office here and this means that we will take them out for a meal after work. So I might actually have to pack the weekend before.

Are you doing the Hawaii Cruise? I figured from the length that you were doing the Panama Canal again, but you wouldn't fly to LA for that.

Where will you reserve at DL? I know last trip you were happy you didn't make a Napa Rose reservation, but I seem to remember you liked Steakhouse 55.

I am not sure what you are looking for?

There are amazing view set up through out the resort where you can watch the animals, you can carry a cup of morning coffee and watch all the animals, you can spend time in the evening watching the sun set on the savannah.

Whole all is in your party? Are there children? Only Adults? are you oding any parks or resort only stay?

There are 6 of us...4 adults and 2 kids in a 2 Br Savannah View at Kidani. My parents' DVC home resort is SSR and this is our first time to AKV. We plan on doing the parks and food and wine...have been to WDW ~every year since 2005...but with kids, so definitely paks
Just curious how much of a process it is to get to the main building fro breakfast if we don't want to cook. We don't have a car, just use Disney transportation and buy what is in the hotel store. Didn't realize there was no QS restaurant in this part of the resort! I saw a Mug station in one of the pics...is there coffee there as well???? That's is very important! TIA!

As long as I drink hot tea I am ok, my throat does not hurt, but then I spend half the day in the bathroom!

It is a 10 to 15 minute walk to Jambo House but you can catch any bus except the DTD bus and ride over to Jambo House. There is also a van that will pick you up and shuttle you over, just check with the valet people and they will let you know when the next one will be there.


As far as the mug station, I really don't know, we don't drink coffee....


The kids will love all the amazing animals, and there are tons of activities for the kids (and big kids) at the resort, be sure and check the activities sheet you will get at check in.
