Seven Dwarves So Close...

So I guess we have reduced the E ticket moniker for any ride that has a small waterfall. Got it. :thumbsup2

I continue to watch in amazement as both the positive and negative reviews roll in for a ride that exactly zero people have ridden.

It's like commenting on how good or bad a car rides without having ever stepped foot in the car. I guess people can decide based on the commercials they see.....

I think adults and children will enjoy this ride !
Response to an earlier question... Splash is a thrill ride to me, that last drop is a big one. It is not the biggest thrill ride but I guess I should of said people were expecting a thrill ride like Big Thunder and Space Mountain :confused3 Anyay who cares I'm happy to have a new ride opening up :cheer2:

Hehe... Out a tunnel, down a drop, around a bank, under a bridge, over a river, and past a waterfall... all within a matter of seconds. Sensory overload? That's an awesome photo. :)
~LOL. You'll have to ride this several times in order to catch all the details! I think there are hidden mickey's , too. I wish I could take credit for this pic -- I googled it. But, whoever took it -- it's a fabulous pic!!! :goodvibes

Cannot wait until this is finished!
~Me, too! :wizard:

This looks like a more tame version of Big Thunder with a Snow White theme.
~I can see that. :goodvibes

~No -- not at all. It's going to be a very popular roller coaster -- that very amusing and lots of fun! :goodvibes

~LOL. I guess that is hilarious. But, would be truly shocked if I walked away not liking this ride. :goodvibes

~I think of Splash Mountain as a thrill ride too. That drop is unreal and I never get used to it! :rotfl:

Found some great new pictures from the 24th, these aren't mine so I'm including the link to the full gallery, the ground cover is coming along nicely and looking great...

~Yay! This is just fabulous! I was wondering if the grass & flowers aesthetic would be applied to the mountain landscape! It looks absolutely beautiful! :lovestruc

I will break it down for you tonight when I get home from work and have access to my picture site. It's not rocket science, but you can keep on pretending it is if you like. :thumbsup2
Ha! It's not rocket science-I do agree.....but there is a lot of forecasting. :thumbsup2
It's cleared up now.:thumbsup2

You can argue all you want about it. Argue with what is posted in that thread. ;)
I will check it out right now. ;)

Ariel views of the track layout have been out for YEARS;)....just look them up. To answer your question about "animatronics" (they are more like the Pooh ones) will be here (look closely and you can see a deer and the Dopey mine cart ;))

I can't seem to remember what the Pooh one's look like. I agree- they're no Yeti----they only need to be cute. ;)

Does anybody have the latest update for when the soft opening is supposed to start????? TIA :confused3

They have to test it on cast members first. Unconfirmed rumors put that at March 18.

If none of the expendable cast members are seriously injured during the testing, they will open it up to paying guests.

Instead of Cast Members they should use families that want to meet Anna and Elsa .... survive the ride and you get to go to the front of the line! Get a major injury and Anna or Elsa (sorry, can't have both) will come and visit you in the hospital

Haha!!!! :rotfl2: Disney can use me.......I'll test it for free all day!!!!! I'll even pay Disney to test it.

Last night (March 5) while sitting outside Gaston's Tavern, I watched the mine cars (empty) going on the tracks. They made several passes in the 30 minutes I was there.

I hope that date is true!! We're there 3/28-4/5.

How have "soft openings" worked in the past? Is there a select group of guests who get to ride? If so, how are they determined?

We'll be there 3/28 - 4/6 and we're DVC members and AP holders. It would be awesome to be able to ride:)

Fantasyland expansion officially opened in late Nov 2012 to the media. The first soft opening was in mid Oct, a full 5 weeks before. CMs assigned to work there told us they didn't know for sure it was opening that day until they reported for work. If thats any indication, soft openings to the public for the mine ride could start soon. We lucked out and were there to experience the first soft opening for Fantasyland Expansion and it was a day I won't forget!
