Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

I'm starting to believe they are just going to open during the press event and skip a soft opening. My bet is on 5/1. The fact that I am going to be there on 5/9 has nothing to do with my date selection of course. ;)

I think they will open right after the press event. At least I hope. I will be there from may1-8 and hope to catch a ride!

Can anybody tell what side of the ride the entrance is on. When we where there at the beginning of March it looked to be on the opposite side of Belle's Castle. The picture posted yesterday looks to be across from Belle's.

If it follows suit to other recent openings you will have a press event, AP event, DVC event, and some other soft opens. They are still working on it so a hard open could be a month off or just a couple of weeks.

I'd say a couple of weeks. They have filmed with people on it. I've heard CM previews start tomorrow. I would expect maybe a fully opened ride around a week after the media event.

I was there when they filmed for the commercial last week. I asked a CM there standing by the roped off area if they knew of a release date yet. She said they haven't told them an exact date, but it WILL be in May

Hoping it opens soon since I'll be there again May 3rd and 4th :)

Mickey's dream Vacations posted pictures of their invitation on their facebook page so the invitation are out for the media event.

Also if you look at that video you will notice that the holes that are punched are dates I'm thinking April 30th May 1st and 2nd and the end stub has the date May 1st 2014 and each has a different destination Bottom Says the Mine train middle say Festival of Fantasy top say MyMagic+

We were nearby about 2 hours ago and saw workers on the bridge section. They had one of the mine carts with some kind of attachment on it - maybe some kind of rig of a specific circumference. My thought it's to ensure no part of the ride path is within a certain reach from the cart. I took a pic, maybe i'll try to link it here.

They were doing this all day this was to make sure that if someone stick their arm out they will not get hurt by hitting something. They do this will every ride its required for safety purposes.

CM's riding. Probably the ones that are in training to operate the ride...

From that picture it appears to be on the opposite side of Belle's castle, still. The background to the left of the entrance appears to be the stand-alone Castle wall that's between the original Fantasyland and New Fantasyland.

We'll be down this weekend for a few days, so it will be nice to get a better look at the ride in person whether it is open or not.

I've never seen it on my MDE either. I did see an informational page on the website, but no link to wait times or Fast Pass.

That is very odd - I still see it tonight. I am on MDE version 1.6.1 Droid. I have seen this before a couple of weeks back, it disappeared and see it again as of this afternoon and still tonight. It is just under Wait Times for MK.

I have been checking 4 or 5 times a day for FP+ but nothing there yet. Sometimes I think the app behaves differently based on some unknown parameters. One theory I have is that it may show slightly different information based on the type of tickets/passes attached. For example, we are AP holders and I've sometimes wondered if they roll out things in phases based on those kinds of variables. I've thought they might be getting close to some phased rollout of FP+ for something like an AP event that may follow the media event. I've heard they have done that for soft openings (media preview of attraction, then AP holders, then DVC, then public).

This is all just speculation of course.

I was also able to see A&E FP+ last week (and have one for 5/13) but now I don't see it even listed for other days. I should probably print a hard copy just in case. :)

I'm an AP too and I don't see anything in the MDE app for the Train Ride. I looked yesterday and today.

I also see FP+ for A&E but it's grayed out and says "standing room only". I'm assuming just because all fast passes are taken up for them since it's so popular right now
