settlers' rates

for anyone's info, we called....no rates for settlers. The best rate we could get was $53.00 which is for the value season. What a bummer. We heard rumors of this coming last summer. We drove around FW on March 1 and could not believe how many empty sites there were. I guess we won't be staying for that long this year. Any suggestions on how to get a better rate? We booked from 1/9 to March but will more than likely leave mid Feb. If the Fort were booked solid last year...I would fully understand.

We are members of AAA. We are getting a rate of 36 for full and 45 for preferred for value season. Good luck

What time of year are you going ? We have been calling & trying to get AAA rates for Jan, Feb, & part of March for full hook-up. They keep saying AAA rates are not available

this year, we would have asked for AAA--not too late. WE
re not very happy.

AAA and central reservations both told me that AAA rates are not available yet for winter months. Anyone have different information? Anyone know if they will be available at all?

I just went to AAA.com and plugged in the following dates just to see:


January 9-18 and got $35.20 for Full Hook Up and $42.40 for Preferred Full Hookup

February 6-16 I got $31.20 for partial, $35.20 for Full, and $42.40 for Preferred.

February 15-22 I got $39.00 for partial, $44.00 for Full, and $53.00 for Preferred.

March 7-13 I got $57.60 for partial

So try the AAA. website!!

Our AAA site (aaamidatlantic dot com) does not allow you to enter dates for the campground. How did you do that? (thanks for any help)

Trying to get Christmas 2006 dates... no luck through disneywebsite.

I went to aaa.com, then entered my zip code, then on the main page there was a booking engine for air, car, hotel, or cruise.

I picked hotel

I clicked on advanced search options

I chose "Near a Point of Interest"

I typed in Walt Disney World

I put the dates in

Under Hotel Name: I typed "Wilderness"

I left all other options as no preference

I did 25 miles as my distance search

Click Search

I then chose "Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, FL

Click Search

At that point it gave me a choice of Ft. Wilderness Campground starting at $35.20

Disney's Wilderness Lodge starting at 205.00

and Disney's Wilderness Lodge Villas starting at 250.25

I've been trying this for weeks for Jan 5-14 and, although it shows availability, once I enter my CC and try to pay, it comes back "this room is no longer available." When I call AAA, they say they're all sold out. Did you actually try to pay and it took it, or did you just check the dates. Curious.
