I think it's a matter of preference. There was a time not that long ago when people did not routinely take a shower every day. However, if my DH was saying he thought I was skanky, I'd get in there and take a shower

That's right. Imagine having this conversation with someone who bathed only on Saturday night!

However, if my husband thought I was getting skanky, guess I get in the shower pretty darn quick, no matter what time of day it was!

I say that he has no room to talk, because every night he climbs into bed DIRTY from the day, and that is pretty gross in and of itself..

I think it's funny that he's calling YOU skanky! You climb into bed with him clean every night and he climbs in dirty.

I prefer to shower at night to get all the day's funk off of me-- also saves time in the morning.

I think you're safe showering at night unless you then you definitly need to shower in the morning if not before!

Family of 4 sharing 1 bath may contribute to all of the reasons already posted.

The way it is now, my DD showers at night and my DS showers in the morning. It is just less fights about who is going first or taking too long etc...

I am sure these habits translate to adulthood. I have always been a AM shower person, but for a while I had a really hard working job(drywall plant) and I had to shower b4 getting into the sheets. But since it was a true dirty job, I did not feel the need to shower and shave b4 work so during that tenure I was a night shower person.

ALWAYS shower at night before bed...I can't sleep feeling all sticky, clammy and dirty.

Just don't know how you folks can go to bed without showering...
I'm sure your husband or wife would be much appreciative if you took a shower before bed.

Morning showerer

Same reasons as Geoff above -- I have really bad bed head in the morning, so I need a shower. I sweat when I sleep, so even if I went to bed clean, I wouldn't stay that way.

What do you folks DO all day??? I shower when the mood strikes and/or depending on what I've got going on that day--sometimes morning, sometimes afternoon, sometimes night.

On a related note, if my DH ever had the nerve to call me "skanky" I would be telling him where he could go sit and spin! Do people really tolerate their spouses speaking to them that rudely?

I shower at night.

This is what I do. I only shower again in the morning on the days I walk (about 3 days/week).

I shower in the morning because my boss has explicitly told me I am not allowed to come into the office with "scary looking hair" (note: this was part of a much longer conversation and was a total joke. I only posted it so you could enjoy my boss's sense of humor!

I have to agree with your husband, it is pretty skanky to start out a new day without showering. People sweat when they sleep and do have odor in the morning.

AM or PM...as long as you shower once daily, it doesn't matter when.

Shower in the evening. I am not getting up one minute sooner then I have to in the morning.
