Setting eyelets: What do you use?

I've been wanting to get some (they're so cute!) and try them, but have been sticking with brads since I don't have a way to set the eyelets anyway. I just noticed that ACMoore's ad has both the Making Memories tool kit & the Clikit Tool on sale.

Does anyone have either of those? Are you happy with what you have? Is anything better? Or cheaper?

Did you notice they also have their rub-ons 20% off & the edger scissors are only $0.49? The cheapest I've seen them since I started looking in the fall was $0.77.

Now I just have to hope that it gets warm enough to leave the house! Our highs are only ~10 right now & the low tonight will be 0! This weather plays havoc with my knee so I don't often go out in it.

I have the Making Memories tool kit and I use it almost every time I scrap. It's got a lot of good tools not just the eyelet setter. The tweezers are one of my most valuable tools. It is loud to use the setter with this set, but I've not have a big problem with that. At home I just don't do it late at night when everyone else is sleeping and at any crops I give a little warning (especially to my tablemates so as not to "shake" their table). I got my tool kit on a good sale so I certainly feel like I get my money's worth.

I used to use a regular eyelet setter. I thought it was OK, but using the hammer to set the back of the eyelet would always take some of the paint off the front of the eyelet. Also, DH HATED the fact that it sounded like something was exploding in our house each time I used it.

Last September, I went to a Scrapbook Expo show and I bought a tool called the Better Setter. Instead of a hammer, it uses a spring-loaded tool to puch holes and set the eyelets. I love this tool! It's really easy to use. I've never used the Clikit tool so I don't have anything to compare, but this Better Setter is awesome.

I have the MM kit, also and LOVE it!!!

My family also goes NUTS when I set eyelets!! I give them fair warning though . . . OK I'll tell you how I "give the warning" if you promise not to laugh (too hard!)!!! I start singing "She bangs" like William Hung!!! They all know what is coming next!!! I'm just a LITTLE weird!!!

I received a click it tool from my DH for Christmas and I absolutely LOVE it. My pages went from having no brads or eyelets to tons. Now it's an obsession, I must think of a way to use the tool on almost every page! As my woodworking/toolshop DH said, "I don't get all of the excitement, basically it's a springloaded center punch tool." Mine came with various attachments for making various size holes, brad eyelet setters and a ribbon hole punch. It cuts a nice clean hole simply by pushing down on it. If it's not already apparent, I'd highly recommend one.

piratesmate, it actually comes with three tools: an eyelet setter, a "craft hammer" (not quite sure why it is called that), and the hole punch tool. Like the Clickit, it's quiet so DH doesn't complain. I've never priced the Clickit either but was happy with the price of the Better Setter too.

Oh, you got the full set then. I was looking at the 1st two things on the page - for 1/8" eyelets & I guess a universal one. I was hoping to get away with only buying one since they're relatively cheap.

Yes, I got the full set. However, it's still cheaper than the Clickit! The alphabet thing from the Better Setter people (they call it the ID Stamper) is also cheaper than the Clickit alphabet set (since it comes with a tool in the ID Stamper set).
